I don't get his vow. He is talking to Radahn, says "if WE honor our part of the vow... promise YOU'll be my consort." Who is the "we"? What is the vow? At the start he says he kept the vow to return Radahn's soul as well. Very unclear. I really thought the expansion was going to let me be his consort. We only get to look at Miquella's feet for like 2 seconds and then we're forced to kill him. What a rip off.
I think that Miquella is Shakespearian yandere. Malenia called herself his blade, but Miquella always seemed to consider Radahn his blade. There is a theory that Miquella kept Malenia around long enough for her to fight Radahn to a draw and infect him with rot. After that he just had to wait for Radahn to eventually fall, remake Moghs body into his form and force Radahn to serve him as his consort.
When i saw this radahn in one of the boss vs boss battles, i just thought it was a really good mod. This is gonna be a wild one, im not gonna watch anymore tho just so i dont spoil anymore, all i know is we get a rematch with Ganondorf lol
I mean it's only similarities in terms of power, fighting style, warlord role and appearance, not much in terms of character and personality since Ganondorf is pure evil, selfishness and remorselessnes personified and he can brainwash people like Miquella except unlike Miquella he lacks compassion and draws power from intense negative emotions, thoughts and desires instead which is why he earned the title of demon thief and later demon king, demon king of darkness, Great demon king and Emperor of the demon world. I do wish Ganondorf's boss fights could get a bit more intense and complex in some future Zelda game, Tears of the kingdom was close.
I feel very conflicted about this boss. On the one hand, the fight itself was quite the spectacle and I enjoyed it very much. At the same time, if I was in charge of FromSoft it probably wouldn’t exist. I feel the Miquella storyline is rather cheesy and could’ve been done better but I guess we’ll have to wait for Vaati to elaborate on it.
The lore is actually really good for this fight, basically miquella has planned almost everything that happens within the game, including malenia nuking radahn, and mohg “kidnapping” him, and the tarnished going to the shadow realm.

Miquella always does everything right and makes it far, only to fail anyways. It happened with accepting fundamentalism, curing Malenia, reviving Godwyn, creating a new Erdtree in the Haligtree, and now, his attempt at becoming a God and ushering a new age.

Whatever we find in Rahdans festival is just a husk, without a soul, kinda like Godwyns body (without a soul). I think this doesnt mess with the timeline, just kinda weird how theres 2 Radahns, one with a soul but a fake body and one with the real body but no soul

I just beat this guy with no status or shields, and solo. I used rusted anchor with a tanky build and spammed prayerful strike. I had to make sure to avoid the BS one shot combos and only tank the safe combos. It felt like rng for whether or not he would play along and not do those one shot combos I still have no idea how to dodge

Man ive been going at him for 7 hours already (no mimic, no summons) a couple more than ishin from sekiro took me.. Thing is I dont wanna parry, dont want to change my dual curved swords build.. im lvl 169 and i need to dodge everything, the fast double swings with the "x" cut at the end seems undodgeable 95% percent of the time, also cant manage to dodge his new attacks from the second phase, its been a painful day bro guess im gonna have to switch to the parry method but will try a couple more hours tomorrow :(
I just really feel like I need to say this. I love the idea of having a boss fight with Radahn in a form similar to his state of being before his transformation after the shattering. I DON'T like the fact that its the final boss of this DLC and the final boss to be played in Elden Ring. It just feels very uncreative and the ultimate copy/paste, which i wouldn't be totally mad at if this was an optional side boss like Malenia was, but it's a mandatory boss to beat the DLC. Not only is it a copy/paste character and design from a boss from the main game, but the second phase is a straight up copy of the Twin Princes boss fight from DS3. I otherwise loved the rest of this DLC, and the Radahn boss fight itself is pretty good, but I was kind of expecting something more than just a rematch with a boss from the main game that, I feel, was mainly made for hype value rather than making a final boss that makes sense and feels creative. FromSoft has never really been good at making satisfying final bosses, and Radahn, Consort of Miquela is no exception.

Man ive been going at him for 7 hours already (no mimic, no summons) a couple more than ishin from sekiro took me.. Thing is I dont wanna parry, dont want to change my dual curved swords build.. im lvl 169 and i need to dodge everything, the fast double swings with the "x" cut at the end seems undodgeable 95% percent of the time, also cant manage to dodge his new attacks from the second phase, its been a painful day bro guess im gonna have to switch to the parry method but will try a couple more hours tomorrow :(
I just really feel like I need to say this. I love the idea of having a boss fight with Radahn in a form similar to his state of being before his transformation after the shattering. I DON'T like the fact that its the final boss of this DLC and the final boss to be played in Elden Ring. It just feels very uncreative and the ultimate copy/paste, which i wouldn't be totally mad at if this was an optional side boss like Malenia was, but it's a mandatory boss to beat the DLC. Not only is it a copy/paste character and design from a boss from the main game, but the second phase is a straight up copy of the Twin Princes boss fight from DS3. I otherwise loved the rest of this DLC, and the Radahn boss fight itself is pretty good, but I was kind of expecting something more than just a rematch with a boss from the main game that, I feel, was mainly made for hype value rather than making a final boss that makes sense and feels creative. FromSoft has never really been good at making satisfying final bosses, and Radahn, Consort of Miquela is no exception.
I understood where you were coming from when you said it was a copy of twin princes. Literally the only similar thing was Miquella on Radahn's back.
@@Boc_theSeamster Well, it's also similar in that Miquela is casting spells while Radahn focuses more on physical attacks, but yeah. I just wish they could have been more creative with it. It's not even really that it's a copy/paste rather than it is who they chose to copy. I was like, of all the bosses, why Radahn? I know it explains why Malenia fought him, but it just felt pretty random.

@@SrBlue-qp2ux Beside of some of performance issue, i did not see any bad game design. Mostly people complained about difficulty. But it is normal dlc being more difficult than normal game. Beside of performance issues game difficulty are other stuffs are ok for dlc.
