Also I want to add on, that cancelled Dark Knight game was gonna have additional villains like how the Raimi Spidey games did, not many people seem to know of this tho and there's concept art out there.

Movie tie-ins were rarely good, but 7-year-old me didn't care. They might as well have been masterpieces to me at the time.

Edit: I get it, The Dark Knight didn't get a tie-in outside of a java phone title because of Rocksteady's Arkham Asylum. I don't need another comment telling me that. I will add that my comment is incredibly inaccurate in the first place because of the mentioned Dark Knight java game, which is no less of a game than tie-ins of Batman Begins or The Dark Knight Rises.
I find it funny that The Dark Knight is the only one out of the trilogy to not get a video game adaptation.
I feel the same way about the Marvel movies, the 1st few MCU tie-in games didn't sell well & that was it even though I found them all fun including Thor

@@DatPRGuy2017 Loved both the PS2 & PS3 versions of Iron Man, the PS3 game is gorgeous. Iron Man 2 was a slight step down, no idea what people were expecting with these games but I loved them
The ending reminds me of the Revenge of the Sith game where every major death is just a lightsaber stab, probably to avoid spoiling what really happens.

Man I loved this game. This was the time Gameloft actually produced games that you could purchase that while we’re either rip offs or shameless cash grabs were solid experiences of the iPod/iPhone

I remember trying the Arkham mobile game and not liking it(it played the same as the shitty MK and Injustice mobile games).
Then seeing the Dark Knight Rises game, being like "wtf", trying it, and loving it!
God it should be illegal for them to delist games we pay for..
It plays more like Infinity Blade, back when almost every movie tie in game on mobile was trying to copy it.

I actually remember playing this game on my iPod touch lol. From what I remember I was actually able to get through the game without needing to use real money to get more gadgets. Then again, 7-8 year old me had a lot more time to grind than 20 year old me now lol. Mastapiece :D
when mobile gaming was new, gameloft was THE DEVELOPER. They made dozens of games i loved but simply cant find anymore
I unironically LOVED this game, and deeply regretted ever deleting it from my iPad. For a mobile game of that time, I thought it was actually pretty impressive and fun. Good video too 👍
this definitely has to be a alternate timeline where Nolan heals his knee becomes what he once was during the begins movie which leads me to believe he got stronger than his begins self and gotten stronger since then.

Arkham Knight is my favorite game of all time. It's literally playing a movie. The story, the writing, the graphics and gameplay; and the all time great vocal performances. A++++

The reason why the gameplay feels clunky is because it was made by the Bucharest division at Gameloft. A division that mainly does FPS games like N.O.V.A. 3 and Modern Combat 5. And this was their first time making a third person open world game.
It's insane how good this game was for a BATMAN mobile game, this was the Arkham of my childhood until I managed to play a couple months ago. This was GAMELOFT at their peak
They have done us a huge disservice by not making the film games for consoles and pcs.
I used to play this game so much on a crappy old iPad when I was like 6
I remember hearing that Sean Schemmel(Hoping I spelled that right)had voiced Batman at some point. He does a good job for Bale's take, but I do wonder how he'd tackle his own take on the character. It's not too surprising that the game in and of itself borrows from the Arkham games at this point. They were way too influential on gaming as a whole.
It's a shame Bale didn't do the voice cause apparently his Batman voice in TDK and Rises was actually toned down from Begins and altered in post. If true (can't remember where I actually heard this LOL) it would've been cool to get to hear what it actually sounded like in this.
Oh that’s interesting. I wonder what that sounds like. I think his best voice is definitely in Batman begins.

I feel like a lot of RUclipsrs only play these types of games to be hyper critical of them and make fun of them for content. You genuinely seem to enjoy playing these games and appreciate the work it took to make them, despite some rough edges. I've honestly been a fan since you defended Spider-Man 3, a childhood classic for me. Great video as always dude

I remember playing this on my tablet when I was a kid I thought everyone had forgotten about it.
I was waiting for consoles to release The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises and I was bummed out they never came. Batman Begins was fun!
I actually beat this game on a bus ride to Chicago years ago because I had 5 hours to burn. Didn’t even hate it. Was honestly impressed by how good it was for a mobile game, especially at the time. I’m pretty sure it’s literally still on my old phone

The thing is, a great deal of thought and investment was put into this game, but it all went to a goddamm mobile phone game. How come the devs never thought about putting it on consoles?
It's a shame a mobile movie-tie-in game has more heart and effort put into it than most AAA games these days. This game 100% should've gotten a Nintendo 3DS/PC port.

I actually remember playing this on my iPad! It was so cool playing a Batman game on the go like this. Plus it had Goku himself voicing Batman.
Also, does anyone else find it funny how the budgeted mobile game gave you two vehicles for transportation unlike the big budget AAA Arkham Knight which only gave you the Batmobile.

This game, the dead space mobile game, mobile versions of Spider-Man, and the original cod zombies are some of the biggest losses in video game preservation imo. Not necessarily great games but very much something I wish I could still play.
Dead space mobile is amazing, graphics are a little worse but it's pretty much the whole game and the controls work great. I still have it on my iPad 1

I bought this game from the play store for $14.99 and it wouldn't work 2 weeks later. It never updated and eventually couldn't even be found on the play store. The same happened for the Justice League VR game. Barely got to try it and it was botched
idk if this is a hot take but if you're doing a large tie in game based on a comic book movie, you really, REALLY should include other villains from the comics inbetween the main story beats, otherwise things will just get boring with you fighting thugs over and over again imo. The raimi spider-man games do this pretty well imo.

Where would you even play dark Knight rises on mobile?
It’s a shame that there wasn’t a console video game of this film made as it wasn’t till a couple years after The Dark Knight Rises was out that I heard about this game and from what I heard and seen of this game, it’s not the best. I mean, for a mobile game it’s decent enough, but in terms of an actual game adaptation, it defiantly could have been better, particularly if it was on PS3 and X-Box 360. It’s also a shame The Dark Knight didn’t have a video game released. One was obviously being made, but for various reasons it didn’t get finished and was cancelled, there are some videos made on what happened that lead to the cancellation of The Dark Knight video game. I have the Batman Begins game for PS2 and enjoy it quite a bit. Wish the last two films got proper games made and released, rather than the sequel was getting a game that was being developed, but was then cancelled, while the final film got a game, but it’s a mobile game that not everyone knew about upon its release. I love The Dark Knight Trilogy, but it’s a shame that video game adaptations of them didn’t really translate to the level of success the films did. Great video man, I hope you’re doing well. Pretty sure the "well" in the opening menu is the prison exit from Dark Knight Rises that Bruce had to climb out of. I don't think any of the images in that menu are from the other movies. Pretty sure they're all from 'Rises'.

Fun to learn more about this game, always knew it was a thing but didn't know much about it. I always enjoy movie tie-in games and their deviations from the movies and this seems to uphold that tradition well with some somewhat strange choices and surprising accuracy in other places

Indeed! This instance was especially fascinating to me because I guess I’ve always seen the Nolan movies as more “serious” when compared to a popcorn superhero movie. So seeing TDKR get the movie tie in treatment as a 2005 Fantastic 4 movie would, was really interesting.
Yep. Unaware of its existence. Actually, I played a couple of Gameloft mobile games back in the late 2010s so maybe this got delisted before I found them? Only superhero game I saw from them was the Amazing Spider-Man mobile game.
As for Batman Begins, I got stuck on the mission after the training with Ras and quit after that. Never came back because I was stupid. But if I get the opportunity to play it again, I'll sure like to take a crack at it.
There was also a Man of Steel movie tie in mobile game. It is also not available anymore as far as I can tell.

His SSJ4/SSJ3 voice gave me the same vibes as Bale Batman. That said I think it's still a bit too goofy, not as bad as his original Goku Black voice but still a bit too animated to actually be intimidating.
never really liked the batman voice in tdk trilogy and i hate the suit and fight scenes. My main problem with the suit was the cowl i hate it.

I still have this game on my 4th Gen IPad I remember I got the game when it was on sale for $2 same with the amazing spider-man 2 game on IOS crazy you can still play amazing spider-man 2 on current IOS if you already own it but not Batman sadly. Same with Lego Harry Potter, Lego Lord Of The Rings and a few others.
