  • Today we're covering the Obsidian Dataview plugin and walking through how to best navigate your vault with it even as a beginner.

I personally believe Dataview queries are what finally made Obsidian the #1 note taking/management app. It's going to help you become more organized and make your note taking easier.
Thanks for watching and your ongoing support!

Great job. I watched a few videos on Data View however, this is the one that resonated with me quickly and made it easy for me to understand. I like the way you relate learning and examples to simple concepts like "Fruits" It all makes sense to me very fast instead of having to rewind over and over. Looking forward to more of your videos, I would definitely purchase a Beginner and Intermediate course if you ever put one out. Thanks again for the great content.

A good first look for beginners. Are you going to do other videos where you slowly add more details? Show what other pieces of data can be used in the where clause. (Basic schema, restricting the returned rows based on tags, links, headings etc.) How to remove the template page from the returned rows. Sorting. Using Templater to create data views. It would probably be best to add a small piece of the puzzle in each video as I see many channels go from beginner to boffin level too quickly.

When you add YAML, you're not adding link between notes ? Or you do both ?

Both. YAML mostly just for dataview plugin

How you made that, a YAML structure is in color? Keywords are orange and values are white?

In other tutorials, they refer to ` as backtick. Pretty much related to apostrophe. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backtick
