i was a long-time coffee drinker. i drank coffee daily and didn't believe in the sustained energy benefit from matcha. but once i tried matcha while working, i haven't experienced energy crashes. i haven't felt sleepy no matter how boring my job is compared to when i was drinking coffee. i really couldn't believe it at first. also, i noticed that the quality of matcha makes a difference. when i drank good quality matcha, i didn't go snacking frequently. i didn't feel hungry even when i didn't eat that much. i felt good as well.

I love Nioteas and I love matcha. The videos you guys produce are informative and the products you sell are among the highest quality one can get in the West. That said, I'm not totally sure that this video comes across in the way you might hope. It's not that anything in it is patently untrue (to my knowledge), but that it's difficult as a consumer to believe that a company that sells tea and teaware wouldn't insert some degree of bias into a video that compares the benefits of tea and coffee, consciously or otherwise. I could be the only one who feels this way, but the fact that every point that was evaluated in the video went into more detail regarding matcha and that matcha "won" every individual point with very little concession somewhat reinforced this impression. I hope you guys continue to make these videos, but I just thought I'd share my impression of this one

I had a pretty similar impression. Especially the bits about "toxins" sounded like every tea sales pitch I heard. Health claims should be backed by significant proof, especially if made by people selling the miracle cure.

Thank you so much for your kind words! You're right, it was difficult to make this without incorporating my own biases. I actually enjoy coffee from time to time and I think it is healthy as long as you drink it plain. I did some research on other articles that tackled the subject and incorporated my own personal experience when it comes to how I feel after drinking tea vs coffee. I could've introduced some positive benefits of coffee to make it a bit more fair. Thank you for your comment

Good matcha and good arabika are both great and have different benefits. I love both.

I always incorporate matcha in my work life all the time in order to loose weight as well as into my Skincare routine/ritual I use Teami Blends green tea scrub and green tea mask! They both have matcha as one of the main ingredients, and I appreciate them for being cruelty free! 💚

I know we shouldn’t drink coffee in a fasted state, it’s better after or during our breakfast. But what about matcha in a fasted state ? Is it as bad as coffee for that cortisol spike ??

I feel like you kind of play down the inconvenience of the match powder quite a lot in this video and possibly to your detriment. Setting expectations of your customers is important. Why not show people how to prepare it on the go, and speak frankly about how difficult it is to get the powder to mix with water if you don't know what you are doing? I am now using a T2 Matcha flask and while I think the design is a little bit dumb, I think this kind of shaken preparation is the future of Matcha becoming popularised worldwide.

yes this is a good point. We make videos about making matcha in a shaker jar which is a similar concept. Thanks for the comment

But making matcha is pretty straightforward. In some ways it’s easier than making coffee. You just need hot water, matcha powder, and a tea whisk. The whisk is relatively affordable and lasts a very long time.
