This is why when you drive you have to PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!!!! Too many people take driving for granted these days and are busy texting or eating or talking to their passengers or doing anything but paying attention to the road in front of them. Well this is the direct result of that kind of behavior. There are a ton of other cars who managed to see what was going on up ahead and avoid a collision. But not this one.

Yup! As soon as I saw the woman all bloody I thought rut ro' no seat belt. I live in a town of 1800 people, 1 blinking red light and top speed is 30 mph, and I wear my seat belt. Just the thought of barreling down the highway without one makes me nauseous.

The only exceptions are if you are intoxicated or you would be putting yourself in extreme danger. We can be reported and disciplined if we don't. Plus we don't have such a big thing here about suing everyone

I'm trying to figure out how that last car just plowed into the accident scene. Drunk? Stupid? Eyes closed? Inattentive? That should NEVER have happened. Situational awareness seems to be a rare commodity these days.
I believe it was due to it being dark, and the speeds you travel on a freeway. If there are no lights ahead of you, you are expecting a clear road, not to have a dark, no lighted car sitting in the middle of your lane. By the time your lights may come upon the car, you are only mere feet away, so no time for a reaction. 😢

Trust, it sucks! So does hitting that stupid airbag! I don't know what hit me. I was looking right in the mirror and was hit head on on the highway. The other vehicle went over the hood,caught the firewall and bounced off. I then went across two lanes of oncoming traffic not knowing it. I was hit in the back of the head by a DeWalt 20v battery.😵

More likely explanation is that because she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, she hit the windshield. Poor lady. She’s really lucky she wasn’t hurt worse. Please buckle up, guys.

This morning on my way to work there were 2 separate accidents on the same block. One on the corner of the plaza and one at the entrance to the same plaza. They'll drive 15, 20 over the speed limit as if everyone else is slow and in the way. If you're late, you're late bro, just take the loss, don't create one.

It times like this when it seems to take forever for rescuers to arrive on scene. Of course, reality shows otherwise.
Wear your seat belt, and don't be a lookee-loo when you're driving - there's nothing more important to see than what's immediately around you - especially when you've got a passenger!! Hopefully everyone recovered alright and learned valuable, life saving lessons.
In car accidents, it seems to be common to have the patient stay in the vehicle cause there could be potential spinal injury and having them move immediately following the collision might do more harm than good.

For heavens sake wear your Seatbelts people!! We were rear ended by a truck and catapulted from stationary into another car years ago. We both got seatbelt burns (no airbags back then) but walked away. Proved to us that they certainly save lives & serious injury.
Why do people STOP in the MIDDLE OF THE DAMN FREEWAY, rarely does a car get completely immobilized, just move the damn car to the side or else you will get killed with your stupid thought process that you should leave your car in the place of the accident.
Speaking from experience, last I got into a crash, the airbag deployed and the engine cut out when I still wasn't that close to the side of the road and then the engine refused to start for at least 15 minutes. An unmarked cop car saw me stalled and asked me to move.... I showed him that the car just wasn't starting. Since we were facing downhill and the vehicle is lighter, we pushed the car to the side of the road while I steered. Then I got out and talked with the cop and the other party and we all took info. A tow truck was called and then I finally got the vehicle started and drove away.
All they had to do was turn on their headlights. That's the typical 4th graders excuse. They are illegals who lack driving skills. Every last one of them could have avoided the stalled car with a simple maneuver...
