Heyy mines was all jelly like this too and I hated it but when I seen someone said to heat it up in the microwave to melt that’s what I did I chummed it up with a fork (in a separate bowl) and heat it up for like a minute or 2 and now it’s all smooth highly recommend!
There’s a learning curve to this gel. A little goes a long way. If u use too much your hair gets sticky and icky. I learned how to use it. Took a while though for sure
But it still be falling apart 😞 it dont melt like butter onto my hair. I just posted a video on my channel of me trying to use this gel and it was a FAIL. You can check it out if you want
@@KeshondaJackson I don’t even use this gel anymore. Matter of fact I don’t even use Shea moisture anymore. They’re not black owned anymore and they’ve changed literally everything. Their products work for only loose wavy curls now. At least from what I’ve noticed
I got this clumpy gel for my waves. I apply my products in the shower, and I always left the shower with jello shrapnel all over the shower floor! I was too broke to buy something else right away, so here was my fix: I took half out and put it in a recycled glass jar. The gel that was left, I BEAT TO HELL with a fork until it was like a combo of gel and mousse. And I LOVED it. It fought frizz in humidity and kept my curls defined all day, without being “crunchy”. It’s absolute bullshit that making a product work for me meant I had to do that extra (very strange) step, but I haven’t found a product that works better than my modified formula of Shae Moisture Soufflé. If you’re up for the extra step, I recommend it!
Bought this a year ago, stuck my finger in it and said “nope” A year later, it’s still lurking almost new. I’d hate to throw money in the trash, so I will try ur method. 😬🤞🙏
I had a friend who has 4a hair and she told me she heats and melts the souffle in a bowl in the microwave and she uses an oil than the souufle and gets long lasting results. I have 3b after washing hair i put some souffle in a dollar tree wax warmer and used the souffle in a liquid form than I apply my keracare moisturizing curling jelly and my results are beautiful long lasting ,shiny, definition .I don't even need to refresh it , it still looks frizz free in the morning.
girl i was so confused.. i thought i got a defective jar of product . hair cabinet getting low so i decided to give this "curling gel soufflé" another trying after letting it collect dust for years
I bought this product and tried to use it once and never touched it again. Today I decided to try it again, and what I did was mix it up with my fingers in the container. This breaks it down from the clumsiness into actual workable product you can run through your hair and work how it’s intended, instead of just breaking up into clumps. So far it’s actually working great!!!
I first bought a jar several years ago, and as noted in many of the reviews, the consistency was fluid. When I bought a second jar over ago, I immediately noticed the change in that it is now hard as jello, so I stopped using it. A couple of days ago, I decided to take a small amount and place it in the microwave to melt it down. This enabled me to spread the product evenly. But it hardens up very quickly in my cup. Will know the texture when I take out my twist out.
When i purchased this product it had the same Jello look and feel. I looked at a video that recommended adding some warm water and mixing with a mixer. It was alot easier to apply and rubbing in my hands made it even smoother. After doing that it was amazing. My hair is so moist and the next day same thing....very moist. I also purchased the hair milk but haven't used it yet. I will also try the microwave because the smoother you can get it the better.
I'm so mad they changed the formula to this hard jello type thing and still have the nerve to sell it. There was nothing wrong with the old formula. I used it for years. I stopped using it for like a few months to try out some other gels and when I bought it again, March 2020, it was this jello stuff. Ugh! You can warm a little at a time at 15 sec intervals (otherwise it get too hot to use). But even then it doesn't give you as good of results as the old formula. This one is much sticker. Patiently waiting for them to chance the formula back🙄.

Yo they changed the recipe and it’s watery and not gel like at all. I bought a new one and compared it to an old one that just ran out. It used to say there was no sulfate in it but now it’s missing. Some ingredients that the bottle said it doesn’t have is missing in the new packaging I’m not sure how to feel about it.
It is a gel but it’s like jelly or gello if you’re American but firmer. It brakes into tiny bits of jelly. It’s so hard and it still has no sulfate in it. That hasn’t changed.
I bought it about two weeks ago. I hated it . It would not stay on my strands and was a wash and go fail . The texture you have is the way it is suppose to be very loose.
Yesh their gel souffle was 14$ at the store so mad I bought It and spent all that money because I feel like it did nothing but make my hair greasy and icky. A little product for our hair does go a long way though i agree but the ones I bought was so watery I did not expect that Most definitely for Looser curls. I do use the aunt Jackie's defining curl Lala with the extreme weltline and the results are bomb. I do section bye section take my bc my hair is thick. Have to make sure the curls are moisturized before adding any gel bc jt will lack definition the curl lala is perfect . My hair is a 3c/4a texture
I need to admit that because of its consistency and smell I couldn’t resist the desire to put it in my tongue and see how it tastes. As I thought very sweet I wonder if it’s eatable
Nice to have found this video. I saw so many women speaking highly of this product that curiosity finally led me to buy it. What disappointment! The consistency of the gel is horrible! I don't understand what happened to this gel. I have seen videos from some years ago and that gel was not like that. But I already know what I'm going to do: I'll have to use my hand blender to make it more liquid, and when the product is finished, I will not buy it again!

I dislike all shea moisture products. Especially this gel. My hair was like glue and I used very little product. I tryed 4 times and every time results were horrible. Your using it wrong taking big chunks into your hand each time, your supposed to take less of the gel and rub it into your hands so its more oily and less clumpy. Your just wasting product. Just advice👍🏾
I don’t like their products🤷🏽♀️ I’ve tried a bunch of them and they always disappoint me so I don’t get the hype! So sorry you wasted your money too girl!
