I have also milled big timber with my vintage ProMac 850. Works great! But They are thirsty saws and the tank opening is on top so if you run out of gas before finishing a slab, you have to back out of the entire cut or unmount saw to refuel. Great video and an awesome tree!
soft and lite, a lot of stress and bending around the knots. It planes nicely for being so soft, weather resistant good for out door landscaping. I have made planter boxes and a sand box so far. I would like to get to some out door furniture this spring.
We were filling the gas tank after every pass, on some of the bigger ones we were just making it. That saws tank is 3.2 Pints or 1.5L. so roughly a liter per board. It's not the most efficient milling method.
In the video it mostly shows you doing a very clean and flat sized cut. How did you get to a reasonably flat cut where the mill could use it as a reference for the rest of the cuts?
FRANK! I'm back from the future! Save those planks!!! You need a door for your pantry.
Lol Alberto, you beat me by a year to come make that exact comment 😂

OMG Beautiful.
I envision my fingers leaving my body...;-)
I am curious about what it is like to work with sequoia wood. There is little chance that I will get the opportunity where I live.
THREE YEAR GAP! WOW! What happened?
can'T wait to find out what you did with em !

We attached a ladder to the log as a guide to make the first cut. Good question.
How does one acquire a sequoia?
one has a friend who has a neighbor who has one taking up their entire back yard, and wants it out.
And then you learned about wedges in the cut.
how long did you get it to chopped?
How many boards with one litter of gasoline? :)
The chain could do with a sharpening
