    Just found you and you are great. You talk about what ever you want. FYI it is a great stress reliever. I enjoy listening to what other people are doing. I have been the caregiver for the last 6 years for my mother who is 81 with Cancer and my 91 year old Daddy who is slowing way down with different issues. So I don’t get to go anywhere. You being in the horse business keeps me in the loop. Trained Thoroughbred racehorses for 38 years. Before that showed Quarter Horses and Hunter Jumpers. Still ride but no showing until? Used to bead and now getting back into it. Enjoy you so much. Trying to catch up on your videos. Stay safe bless you family.

    I’ve bought that software and bought delica beads and built a loom. I’ve messed up getting started and had that short needle. I’m glad I get to follow you. Are you using delica beads? The link to those beads are cheaper than what I bought.

    I love your work! I'm new to beading and getting stuck in one area. I'm trying to start the first row. I get the beads on the needle and place the beads underneath with a string between each. But when I try to pull the needle through, the beads get stuck on the eye of the needle. I'm using the needle that came with the kit, but maybe my needle isn't right? I honestly don't know what size the needle is. I may try to purchase a size 12 as you recommended and see how that goes, but if you have any advice, I'm open to it.

    • @ranchwifelife4041
      @ranchwifelife4041  Год назад +1

      It does sound like the needle is too big, or the beads are too small. I’m sorry you are having issues! I always use size 12 needle with 11/0 delica seed beads.

    When you “send to leather” who are you sending to? I would love to make a dog collar but sounds like it will be tough secure the beadwork onto a leather collar properly for a beginner without a lot of tools. 🙈

    • @ranchwifelife4041

      I lucked into finding a great leather partner when I first started beading. My friend Justine owns her leather company, Mile High Supply. She does great work. There are a ton of great leather workers out there. A great place to search would be on the USA Made Cowboy Marketplace page on Facebook. Make sure you find someone reputable who has worked with beadstrips before.

    hi so i'm thinking of making my own dog collar. But now i want to order beads but have like no idea how much there goes into a dog collar (neck size 48 cm). The shop i want to buy sells them per gram so for example 3 gram. So how much gram do i need for one?

    • @ranchwifelife4041
      @ranchwifelife4041  3 года назад

      3 grams would be about 570 beads. The dog collar in this video was only 4 inches long (it was for a chihuahua), and I used 1,955 beads. I order from Golden Age Beads and they are typically under $3/5 gram tube (which is over 900 beads). Pick the colors you like and whatever you don’t use, save for your next project. Thanks for watching!
