I love it! I immediately thought of an Occult embassy or something. Like they don't necessarily get along, but must because they represent unity between their races or something 😅
This is the first video I've watched of yours and I think you did a great job with all the townhouses! There's nothing wrong with them being "stereotypical," I'd be disappointed if they weren't tbh lol. They're super cute and whimsical ✨
These are very cute. Two thoughts, though: 1) You mentioned that someone pointed out the fish for the mermaid's house but did anyone ask about the garlic on the vampire's door? 2) My imagine runs wild: I could just see the vampires and werewolves constantly fighting, the vampires bloodsucking the witches, the witches casting curses on them all and them the poor mermaids getting devoured by the werewolves (ummm fish dinner). Poor neglected mermaids have no real defenses.
If you're willing to do a major revision when you furnish, I think it would be awesome to make the entire ground floor of the mermaid house one giant indoor swimming pool and move the kitchen/bathroom/etc. upstairs.
Aw Rachel, I bloody love these! I can't even pick a favourite; they're all so different and quirky in their own little ways, and each has their individual selling points! But I need to take a moment to tell you that the exteriors of each different townhouse is unbelievably satisfying to look at. It reminds me of the townhouse series you started a while back for the townies 🥹 the contrast... perfect! You're so talented and amazing, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of telling you that. So excited to see you do the furnishing! 🥰🥳❤️

Might be cool to see a rundown type of house where they’re still trying to be festive for Autumn/Halloween? Maybe runaway teens or just a little family with very little money or something. Just trying their best to make their place still homey and Fall-y. I’d love to see you tackle that kind of build!
I absolutely love this, it's so well done! I once made an apartment complex for every occult including ghost, servo, and alien. I was hoping they would get up to all sorts of crazy hijinks in the common areas, but they didn't even really show up 😭 it was so disappointing.

Not that it’s important at all… just a fun bit of trivia… the ‘life ring’ in the mermaid bathroom is known as a lifesaver… and that’s where the candies get their name since the red ones especially resemble the lifesaver ring.
Long ago the 4 occults lived among humans some not some tried to , the 4 occults hated each other but when humans found out about them they had to escape , and moonwood mill was once deserted land , when the occults escaped they found moonwood mill and called it theyr home , MWM is not that big so they had to live close together , and find a way to live and survive togther ( some spellcasters had to move to moonwood mill , some were so good at hiding that they stoped using magic ) - this Story is over 400 years old ....
You did an absolutely incredible job, Rach. I would say the mermaids us my least favourite too though but they're all incredible 😮 😁 👏. I actually like the Werewolves house and I hate Werewolves in the game. The Spellcasters house is amazing too and probably my favourite. I'm so excited for the new pack with the tarot and everything 😁
Personally never understood the idea that mermaids don’t eat fish… because they’re part fish? Fish eat other fish like are they supposed to eat chicken? 😂
so a vampire coven, a mermaid family, a werewolf pack, and a spellcaster circle all move into the same neighborhood... actually, a potentially fun storyline for all of them is that at least one member of each group used to be highschool friends with massive interest in the occults. however, their interests never became their fates. so, the one that became a werewolf wanted to be a spellcaster (and maybe they had some kind of crystal obsession as well that they still practice), but never managed to find the school, and was instead transformed in the woods. meanwhile the one interested in being a vampire mistook a mermaid for one, seduced them, they fell in love, but when asked to be turned, whoops! now they have a tail. the sim who thought being a werewolf sounded awesome just had the misfortune to meet a vampire one night. and finally, the sime that wanted to be a mermaid mistakenly thought they had to learn magic to become one, and managed to become a spellcaster, and didn't learn better until after the fact. so the houses could be decorated to show off both their currant lives, as well as their previous interests/obsessions, and why they may still be friends, despite their current circumstances.
Ummm... if humans eat other mammals & birds, why wouldn't mermaids eat fish? What else would they eat. Well, i guess sirens eat sailors? But that's certainly more barbaric than fish, right?
You'd think they'd eat fish lower down the food chain unless a trait or diet pref said otherwise but in game being a child of the ocean or a mermaid makes your sim sad if they eat fish. In 3 they need fish or kelp.
i hate the colour scheme of the mermaid house cuz i am not a fan of orange/teal/pink as individual colours and also as combos 😹 but its a nicely built house (framework wise). i don’t think i’d be able to guess it’s a mermaid house tho ? then again i dont really know how you’d give mermaid vibes as a house either so your work is already better than anything i’d come up w 💀😭
Where is the pool? Mermaid needs to be able to swim. They also can only have a bath not a shower. As for them living next to each other, perhaps they are siblings.
Mermaids can actually use a shower they just do not become mermaid and just use the normal sim shower animation (as they do not turn mermaid) it still regenerates wetness/moisture / whatever you want to call it!
