Congratulations by your step towards your future, Luke! While watching your video, I was reminding my first solo 30 years ago, doing exactly the same: talking to be sure nothing would be forgotten! Fly safe and high!
Thanks a lot mate, landing I was overly happy with and I felt I did the best I could with the radios and checklists etc... but there’s always learning points
I will be showing some of my air cadets your video, to give them inspiration at what can be achieved. Hopefully one or two will be following n your footsteps over the coming months. Congratulations on a superb effort ! Many more hours to follow I hope...
Pretty good to be fair, not sure if you changed your take in downwind checklist , carbheat, checked compass and di alignment, suction and charging when checking ts and ps. Didn’t say student to atc that way they know your student and alone.
Well done, I’m only just starting circuits but still finding RT hard and love how fluent you are, any tips much appreciated!! I’m also flying with ATC from EGNR. How long did it take you to become comfortable with RT?
I think with RT it’s all about consistency, the more you do calls, the more you will improve both knowing what to say and how to say it. Just making sure you learn from your mistakes with it and not trying to be perfect, as there’s going to be times when you misinterpret what a controller has said etc. Me personally with RT, I accept that there’s going to be times when I don’t get it right so I just do as best as I can, but it’s just about consistency with it really

Thanks a lot mate, it’s always good to talk to yourself to not forget a thing, still learning but loving it!
