thanks mate, loved every minute of it. Wish I had a winter wetty to stay in lower to get better footage, but the spring suit and 3-5 min dives had to cut it.
Wow the cuttlefish footage is incredible, what amazing sea creatures. Your kiddies seems to get cuter every episode 😊. Also the squid jig looks amazing wherever you park or drive it!!!
Thanktou 😊. I'll tell you it's all a cover, they are little devils 😈 99% of the time 🤣 Good ol squid jig needs a birthday these days, I'll be giving it a makeover soon I think 🤔
Hey legends, the cuttlefish experience was just insane. I fid think there would be so many but there was literally thousands of the just off shore. Hope we can bump into you guys somewhere on our travels😉
thanks guys, I only had a spring suit too so it was 🥶, could only last about 3-4mins blocks and about 20 mins all up. An experience ill never forget though, crazy good. 😊
Wow! You guy's are bonza, how the hang don't you's have more subs?! You's popped up on My feed today and Im binge watching. Can't wait for flinders part 2 😊
Loved the cuttlefish video, great footage, well done. Have not seen anything as clear and close up before. I must do that next winter. I have a 3mm short wetsuit, how would I do? We’re there others snorkelling in half length suits, or all full length? Re the salmon fishing. We are South Aussies & love getting into them on the EP, much like tailor fishing in eastern states. They are much more plentiful on the western side of Eyre Pen on the surf beaches, eg Almonta & Gunyah beaches(Coffins Bay Nat Pk)Sheringa, Locks Well, Talia, Mt Camel beaches. You can cast pilchard baits, or walk the beach and cast metal spinners(40, 50 or 60gm) and fast retrieve. When you see a school and can reach it with casts that is the ultimate. Great fun, they fight and leap from the water! Best time to fish is sunrise and late arvo-sunset, on a rising tide, preferably with land breeze(wind at your back & lower swell).
Thanks Peter, it was just an amazing experience and worth jumping in the freezing cold water. I only had a 1.5mm spring suit 🙃 I'd last about 5mins before having to come back out again for a break. Everyone was looking at me as if I was a weirdo 😅 they all had full length 6mm suits, head to toe, boots, gloves the whole lot. Yea I need to spend a bit more time fishing I think, but spearfishing is so much easier 😂
@@LostTribeAdventures One more thing about our salmon fishing, best months are April to September with best of that being the winter period. They love rough water and come into the shallows of surf beaches chasing bait fish through the deeper gutters and channels which appear on the beaches, so look for deeper water in close(darker blue water with less wave breaks evident over them). They don’t like getting sand in their gills so avoid the stirred up shallower water. You can often spot a school if you look over the beach from the sand dunes, then chase them with metal slug lures. It is awesome fun, and the fish have a chance compared to your speargun. Yes I love leather jackets too, great eating off the bone.
