Listening to Brittany talk about her anxiety literally feels like myself describing how it feels. It’s crazy how similar our symptoms manifest & even our agoraphobia. And it honestly helps to know I’m not alone. You’re so strong and your words and honesty help more than I think you know ♥️ thank you, girl. Keep doing, stay strong.

I get emotional finally having somebody explain what anxiety really feels like, when you do think you’re having a heart attack and are gasping for air and feel like you can’t breathe, and when your husband packs the kids up to take you to the hospital, only to find out 20 minutes later you can finally catch your breath and feel overwhelming relief, thank you for explaining what it’s like even if people feel like it’s repetitive

The Calm app actually helped me, and with practice it helps even more. I have a brain tumor that shoots out cortisol and get really bad anxiety and panic attacks. I almost slapped the nurse who suggested the app, like I've TRIED grounding exercises and brrathing, etc., but it actually helped me.

Hey Brittany, so I also used to be really scared of death when I was younger, and I really didn't know which direction to go in life, but now both of those things are in the rear-view mirror for me. One of the reasons for this is the realization about what it means to make your life better, which is a universal desire. You see "better" only exists by there being an outside immaterial standard for BEST. By going away from this standard you get worse, and by going towards it you get better. This standard must be a perfect immaterial moral judgment standard outside humanity to qualify as BEST. It must be
outside the universe because ONLY materials can exist in a purely material universe, so an
IMMATERIAL standard like "Best" needs to be outside the universe. It needs to be outside humanity because, if it's created by humanity, then it becomes a social construct, like a created god, and so it wouldn't actually exist (because created gods don't exist either).
As this is the case, then the only option for the identity of this outside standard is that BEST = GOD.
So, to truly make things better, you have to seek for what’s best, and that literally translates into:
    Seek for God.
Now, just type “seek for God” into google and see which book comes up. You’ll find that this book just so happens to be the widest distributed, best-selling, most published, most translated, most quoted book in the history of the world. You will also find that in this book there is a character called God, telling people over and over again that they are supposed to “seek for God” if they want to succeed in this life. It is because of this that it becomes logically impossible that this book is a deception. It must be God given by a true standard that wants the BEST for humanity. So, either it’s impossible to makes things better, and also the world has never had any real problems, which is illogical, or this is the answer you seek that will finally bring you peace of mind.
You say you think about these things a lot, and I've kind of dedicated my life to figuring these things out, so if you ever wanted to talk you could message me on my channel. What I just said above is only one small piece of hard evidence, but there's a lot more out there.
Btw, if humans also thought they created things like love, meaning, purpose, or morality (instead of God setting the standard for these things) then these things would also become social constructs, like created gods, and so they also would not exist. So, in order to say that God doesn't exist, one has to convince themselves that love, meaning, purpose, and morality are not real things, and that they have never experienced them. That's pretty much impossible for a person to do, and this again points directly at God truly existing. This is just using logic, but hard evidence also exists in basically all other subjects. This is all coming from someone that actually used to be an atheist at one point. Things have gotten much better for me in recent years, and I would like things to get better for you in the near future.

I recently started having anxiety issues and it is hard going through a normal day without my having heart beating like a humming bird for no reason. But staying occupied and finding small things to do has helped along with GABA prescription from my doctor and b12 vitamin shots. My family and friends have been so understanding I never once felt ridiculed from any of them. I have to realize that this fear is all mental and it makes me feel better by thinking that. Mental illness is a serious issue and I hope society can change about and have a discussion where people don’t feel ashamed or fear to talk about it. 7 billion people on this planet and to feel that someone else is not going through this is ignorant. Ignorance is bliss because some people don’t realize that the world is dark and full of terrors to quote game of thrones.

I love when the podcast turns into conversation about mental health. I took Effexor for a couple months and didn’t enjoy how it made me feel. When I stopped taking it the withdrawals were insane and not fun. Can’t imagine how they were for you since you’ve been taking it so long. Also Joshs story about his near death experience was eye opening because i’ve had 5 surgeries and never once did I think that things could go wrong. Now I’m thinking and the wheels are turning lol 😂 hopefully I won’t need anymore. Love you Brittany you are awesome.

No stimulants! Not even caffeine or high fructose, this helps so much with anxiety and panic attacks. Then I learned to tell myself in my head when I felt it coming “It’s ok, It’s ok” over and over and your brain/body learn to understand this is ok, mine went away 100% after a few months.

Brittany u are a Total Godsend... The moment u started speaking about "panic attack's" and how a person can jus wake up in the morning an feel like their having a heartattack, girl that is so me. It's like I wake up feeling so overwhelmed, my heart is pounding, I feel like there's a ton of bricks on my chest, and I'm extremely nauseous. It happens like 2 or 3 tyms a month, an I've noticed that over the past few years it's become more frequent and alot worse. I do however take medication for anxiety (which I hate taking becuz it makes me so tired) I'm thinking that I'm going to look into the shock therapy u mentioned. Thank u so so Much for being so open and informative about ur struggles u have kno idea how much u r Truly helping so many people who r afraid to react out for advice on these types of issues. I’ll tell ya Brittany. This was a great episode. I appreciate the openness. I’ll tell ya, as a “religious” person, it is silly to say “we know” anything for certain. With certainty I say God is real. There are people in my own community that believe God created the world, but that we evolved over time, and then there are others that believe we were created with the snap of a finger. No church and no religion has all the answers. I’m a non- denominational Christian that has met Catholics and Muslims, and some things in between, that believe some of the same things I do. It’s not about religion. It’s about your relationship with God.
I’ve worked in nursing homes and hospitals and the people that are at peace when they die are the ones that believe in God. The families that are at peace when their loved ones die are the ones that believe in God. Not just believe in God, that know God. That famous Bible verse, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not persist, but have everlasting life.” The people that believe this are the ones who don’t fear death.
I’ve been watching these worst firsts since the beginning and I’m sure you think I’m a mental case now, but that’s my two bits. I think you’re great and always wish you health and happiness. Josh too 😊👍🏼

Im an empath as well, I know exactly what u guys mean.
I grew up with a single disabled mother mostly living in section 8 housing on the west side of Chicago, 180 pounds by 12 years old. I had always been a chubby kid, which turned into an eating disorder and lost 60 pounds within 4 months.
I have PTSD, along with a panic disorder and I know exactly what ur talking about Brittany. Anxiety like that can be diabilitating, I would have meltdowns in school, and along with being the fat kid in class I would get bullied tremendously. Along with being gay as well it wasn't easy at all growing up. What I learned from dealing with trauma, an eating disorder, PTSD, and a panic disorder was that was that the only opinion that mattered was my own. Even though I felt the pain of everyone's opinion of me severely, learning cooing skills and going to therapy, and intensive outpatient, I learned that feeling so deeply was actually a strength instead of weakness. We aren't weak, or spineless. Vulnerability is a strength. So many people out defense mechanisms, and build a wall to keep others out, but being an empath myself I learned that hurt people, hurt people. And everyone that ever bullied me was there way of a defense mechanism, they picked on me because it was an easy way for them to not be the one that would be bullied themselves. At our core, we are stronger than we think we are, being able to sense other people's pain and put it before our own is an incredible strength, and I learned to never allow the world, or people to make me bitter inside, and to keep my heart, and the way I care for others the way it is, and to never allow others comments or opinions to change me. This podcast is amazing, and I love what Brittany has done with it. I'll always be a fan, and I'll always love the way they're so raw and open about mental illness.

Yes, please tell me where these "Normal Happy" people are? I can't even bring myself to leave the damn house to see a Dr. to help me figure out my med situation! I googled healing and anxiety stones and meditations for empaths today and just ordered them on Amazon instead! I can totally relate to both of you! I have the same Anxiety/Panic Attack symptoms and am having issues weaning off of 4 different anxiety meds cause I've had bad dr.s that didn't speak to each other or check which meds I was already on. I'm finally weaning off of my Antidepressant because that's one thing I sorta have control over but having seizures weaning off of the anxiety meds. And with Josh I use to weigh 364lbs and had the gastric bypass over 10 years ago and have lost over 245lbs and it was a rough life living that way.

I watched Tiger Belly after you talked about the comments and every minute was great comedy and discussion. So I’m guessing it’s probably the 12 year olds of the internet again. 2019 is full of child bullies, it’s insane.. and sad really. I went through RUclips and watched every podcast with your name in it though LOL. To be almost 30 years old I’m such a fan girl 😂

This podcast was all about the daily thoughts I have. Anxiety, what happens after death, who’s playing me in this game,etc....

I am exactly the same with my anxiety. Been on Paxil for over 10 years. Weight gain sucks but afraid to switch meds. My brain and thoughts exhaust me.

I love that yall talked so positively about the age gaps! My boyfriend is 18 years older then me yet i have never had a better relationship. But everybody seems hate on it soo much

Some of it might be (misplaced, over protective, intrusive) concern for you, rather than hate. You never know where someone's coming from.

Brittany enjoying your podcasts, From my experiences , I would suggest you’re and empath.
After watching your ghost stories podcast , so many orbs around you, you’re definitely an energy magnet.
It took me 50 years to figure this out. Once you learn how to close this off, and control your environment, stop the fight or flight syndrome. That’s why the cute wiener dog calms you down. You’re a great and talented person. God Bless.

This. Is. Everything. I have siblings who are truly happy and it seems like everything comes so easy for them. The worst part is my parents and family are all big believers in mind over matter.. so my anxiety and panic attacks I should be able to control. So just hard not having people around me who understand and aren’t mad at me for not showing up to wveyrbinf Bc sometimes I don’t want to leave my house! Thank you for making me feel more normal
