Look at one of their most recent videos the quote was “a child doesn’t *need* a sibling, they need healthy parents.” They then went into a discussion about how they thought they were “one and done” because just with Madison it was a lot of mental and physical stress and it was hard on their marriage too. But they’ve been in marriage counseling, been in therapy and unpacking things there, and Madison is older and becoming more independent and then they were seriously considering having another child. Courtney did all of that to not invalidate families with an only child (because the “they’re so lonely they won’t have a friend” stigma is still very real and parents shouldn’t be forced into having more children they aren’t ready for because of that) regardless of their own decision to get pregnant again.
