The actress who played Sam didn't impress me much, with her acting. Even Karl Urban, even though I adore him, could have done better with some of his lines. I think that, with more work and a bigger budget, they could have done a hell of a lot more with the movie. That being said, I still very much enjoyed it.

tbh, if this movie had been released in the 80s, it would've been a hit. I dont think many people are a fan of the genre in mainstream... (correct me if I'm wrong)
What the joke was saying is that, the movie is about a love story between Karl and the Rock, and the movie "be cool" is where the Rock plays a gay guy, and uh....why Karl knows why Dwayne is called the Rock is because uh...You know.
The problem with doom was the budget, the writing. It was too focused on them being mutates/aliens and less about demons from hell coming through teleports, the earth seemed too much like modern century which is odd since doom series was around the time when space travel was common.
You can tell your brother this: I do like the video and the comments made. And I do like the joke, I mean obviously I understand the joke if I like it. I just didn't laugh because it was a bit simple. In all sincerity, there was no need to express that I was under no obligation to like the post when clearly I did like it. But thanks for that courtesy nonetheless. It's ok, no apologies necessary.
Those guys are still under contract with the company that made the movie so they are saying nice things about the movie to keep their job! It's a shame they don't just tell the truth and say the movie storyline is not true to the game's storyline! Shame on hollywood for fucking up such a potentially great film!!! I still liked the film regardless, but It won't be remembered as a classic like the game is!!!
To be fair I walked in the cinema expecting it to be the best movie ever. I got it on dvd, was disappointed about the movie but still enjoyed it. It's just overdue for a reboot which is why I created a page on facebook since I think the doom movie franchise has potetional, the budget for the first was a joke, kind of upsetting since the franchise in general was groundbreaking.
