Hikaru does tend to overdo it but really has nothing to do with how he interacts socially lol

- if the opponent does blitz 15 moves of opening except being stuck on insignificant turn 4 for 9 seconds, it's Hikaru, typing something on other monitor or checking chat...

I really REALLY love these kinds of vids where Hikaru faces off against an anonymous top 20 supergm tbh, its always fun to watch the extremely high level chess between two players. Well it would actually be nice to know the identity of the player at the end of the vid so we can check our guesses. Sadly, thats rarely gonna happen since majority of smurf accounts is made to mask identities. 😔😔😔. Fun vid overall tho.

High chance it's wesley so. Most of the other top 10 are playing Grand Swiss. Nepo preparing for WC. Grischuk barely plays online. Hikaru was slightly skeptical it being Anish because Anish is not as fast. Extremely fast, sharp, not playing the grand swiss leaves only Wesley in my opinion.

I think I know whom Hikaru is hinting at. Top 10 player, quality dump in a time scramble, sharp, a username which is funny in a super cheesy way, A player that Hikaru guessed more than once...I'm going to guess Wesley. His real account is rated 3088 in blitz, on which he hasnt played since September...Wesley fits the bill perfectly.

I love how he not only guessed 50 different people but also got more and more generic, like "it's David Howell"; "no, it's a 2700 player"; "it's definitely someone very very good", LOL. In the end he was like "oh, it's definitely a human being... unless, of course, it's an engine... but it's something that exists, I know that... a-ha! My instinct is good, guys, I got it right, it's an existing thing".
Assuming Grand Swiss players would be busy preparing, it leaves out Wesley, Anish and Ding. Naka was skeptic it being Anish because of the insane speed (but could be Anish practising for speed chess championship). My bet would be Wesely So though.

@@cadespaulding3837 No Hikaru never said specifically like (the country he's from doesn't have more than 2 tip 10s) but he just made an assumption in general off the top of his head that in top 10 there are no 2 players from the same country, and therefore if he gave out the country, it would give away the player.
