I just purchased my first tarot deck and did my first single card reading asking about my energy for today and I got the Ace of wands of all cards!! I think it is probably the greatest sign and could mean the start of a beautiful lifelong tarot journey.
I've been trying to understand tarot for years and after watching two of your videos i'm already reading clearly! Thank you so much for you magical mysticism.
Ive been doing celebrity readings. Most get the Ace of Wands. They have a combination of natural born talent and they are enabled by their powerful ambition and drive to find lucrative fulfillment in their pursuits that touch others.
Great stuff. I feel like that helped me level up in a way. It made some things click for me so to speak. My quick two cents on the 8 of wands, I saw it as the wands falling down or flying at someone and then in the nine of wands we see someone recovering like "okay, I've got my walking stick here and my collection of 8 others sticks. That was rough but I'm good." And then by the ten of wands it's like "what's with all these fuckin wands? I was good with nine. How am I supposed to carry this?" So then maybe he's like, "Hey, Page! Have a wand, kid. Knock yourself out, maybe start collecting."

WAHHH I'm so happy I stumbled upon your channel! I've had my tarot cards for months now but I couldn't fully understand them when I read the guidebook it came with. I only knew about the symbolism of each suit from you and now I'm slowly understanding what some of the cards mean can't wait to watch all of your videos! I'm gonna binge watch it today!

I love this approach to intuitive reading. I've been reading tarot for years, but in a very "by the book" way-memorise the meanings, and don't spend much time on what the cards actually look like. I've always found the complexity of symbolism in tarot daunting, which is partly why I haven't given it much thought before. But this idea of focusing first on the suit symbols themselves makes a lot of sense, and I'm looking forward to giving it a try-both with the RWS itself, and with the RWS-based decks I use most often. I feel like this method would be harder to apply to Thoth decks and (especially) Marseille decks; but I guess that's a whole other conversation!
Hey Lauren! Yay thanks for watching :) It's a fun entry point into the reading too. I also definitely recommend exploring the symbols if you can. I find that tarot symbolism, even in the books, are subjective and can even be curious. My favorite book of RWS symbolism is The Tarot by Paul Foster Case. Regarding the Thoth Deck, that's a great point. What you can do is ask the cards in the thoth deck how they sound, how they feel, how they taste. The decks style can lend itself to a visceral or abstract response which can offer more meanings :) I have some thoth classes I can send you too if you'd like :)

There is a reason why. The elements are very subtle. If you study with me it will be clearer overtime. There are decks though that are more explicit with the elements.
@@JoeMonteleone Yes I've noticed that too - most other illustrations actually include fire. I think it's probably just a limited artistic imagination of Coleman-smith at the time to be honest. I guess she was just thinking more 'What can people do with rods' rather than 'how can fire appear in this image'. Perhaps she felt that the 'wand' as a magical instrument was really the focus, and the elemental association of fire was just that - a secondary association. Whereas nowadays, I and other tarot ehtusiasts tend to emphasise the elements more than the instruments.
