When Aaron is in trouble that's when Robert can't hide his feelings for him. Loved today.
Chas was talking to Aaron all morning and didn't notice anything was wrong. Robert walked in the door and within two seconds knew there was something up. Very telling.

Chas is blind and to wrapped up in herself to care how scared Aaron was when Gordon was around or the mention of Gordon's name but Robert loves Aaron so much u can tell it took him two seconds being around Aaron to know something was wrong
I AM SO FUCKING PROUD OF ROBERT SUGDEN!!!!!!!!! Him taking care of Aaron was one of my dreams and I'm so proud it's coming true. He is showing what I always knew and what Vic pointed out yesterday. He'd do anything for Aaron and he loves him completely. I'm about to pass out.

"It's gonna be alright. Its gonna be okay." My heart melts. Robert loves Aaron so much! It's so clear from this point onward all Robert wanted to do was look after him. It's one of his most endearing qualities in their relationship.
When Aaron said "because there's nothing left for me here now" my heart just broke.

Robert clearly cares about Aaron and it's obvious watching him react to everything.

I am literally speechless. There were tears in Robert's eyes. He loves Aaron so much and he's trying so hard and the fact that he's the only one there for him while the rest are carrying on with their lives (even though they don't know but still) speaks volumes. The way he carried him to the hospital and the way Aaron leaned on his shoulder and then touched his knee and I think Robert held his hand was beautiful. Seeing Aaron's wrist was just haunting but that is the reality wow. This was something else, just brilliant.

Robert looked so lost and scared when Aaron was hurt. The way Aaron leaned into him for support was so trusting and gentle.
I love the way you can hear the emotion in how he calls out Aaron's name. Such a great scene both actors were amazing.
I love how Robert is so caring in this scene. Aaron clearly has some issues & needs someone to talk to. Robert just wants to help him & be there for him. I thought Robert was gonna break down in tears. He still obviously loves Aaron & he's not leaving his side. I can't wait for the next few episodes

Agreed but to be fair, if this was the real world and not soap where everyone is blind and dumb for dramatic effect... a toddler would notice Aaron is sick. Pale as a ghost, dripping with sweat, barely able to move... I'm no doctor but I guessed blood poisoning like 5 episodes ago -.-' But yeah, good of Rob not to listen to Aaron's bs.
yeah i agree i loved rob in these episodes because he was so supportive even when aaron was telling him barely anything and to go home.
It is so obvious Robert still cares for Aaron, I like this story they got with these two recently. And god Chas is driving me so f*cking nuts, she needs to realize that her son's needs should come before her own, she has no problem giving him grief about everything else. But once she makes a bad decision no one else can judge her. F*ck it's like Robert, Victoria, Adam and Paddy care more about Aaron than his own goddamn mother

It makes me so happy to see Robert talking care of Aaron. I had a feeling they weren't done.
I was tearful during the scrapyard scene, it's so difficult seeing Aaron so broken and the anxiety in Robert's voice - heartbreaking. Aaron will lighten his load soon and the man he loves will help him through it. This is rock bottom the only way from here is to rise to the top

+Bryce Thompson Too bad he collapsed before going. Now that would have been amazing. Seeing Aaron being helped by Ed, a person who is nice by nature and has always been great to Aaron. It shocks me a little bit when some people say how amazing Robert is... for taking someone who is collapsing to hospital? lol As if nobody else would have done that in that village or anywhere. It´s called basic principles.
They just fit together dont they? Aaron just laid his head on his shoulder and knee like it was so familiar even when he was so out of it. There is a trust there. Robert needs someone like Aaron that he can take care of be their rock. And he was that most definitely as scared as he was. He just dragged him off to the hospital like, "Baby Im gonna take care of you."
The crazy thing is in this moment the way Robert was there for his man he is his rock, but Aaron doesn't know it... yet.
I absolutely love Paddy, he's always on Aaron's side "asking him to bury his feelings about his dad" love him!
For anyone new, congratulations, you have reached the best part of this storyline, the next 150 part will include so deep meaningful real emotional events and performance, its gonna be an unforgettable ride and honestly I envy you cause I want to forget it and feel it again. Enjoy ❤️
I just realized watching the story back for like the hundredth time that as far as we know, Ed probably thinks Aaron disappeared off the face of the Earth. LOL
Robert is so amazing I am proud of him he has come a long way but it's finally happen the way he looks at Aaron and his concerns about him is so real I getting feels Robert is genuinely interested and genuinely loves and cares for Aaron. His voice is laced with worries and love and everything else he makes me so proud he's not running away or shouting and accusing Aaron of anything he just being there for him. This scene gave me feels

I always delight in the convoluted character that is Robert. I must have replayed this video a dozen times to watch Ryan Hawley's performance here. Favorite bit was at the scrapyard starting at 1:16. Seeing Robert try and be there for Aaron, and then panic after reading the note, and then chase after his man... If Aaron hadn't collapsed, I think Robert would have told him that it was impossible for Aaron to have nothing left for him in Emmerdale as long as Robert was there. But the best acting moment was when Robert uncovered poor Aaron's mangled arm (the traces of old scars was so sad and chilling).
I know this is a really intense and serious scene, but every time Robert says "what're you doing?" with the emphasis on the word "doing" it always cracks me up.
Aaah. One year ago today this episode aired and changed me forever. I had to come back today. At least in this episode I was hopeful of them getting into a loving relationship. Now a year later 2017, they're breaking up. ugh!

Aaron and Robert are tied as my favorite gay couple with Kevin and Scotty on Brothers and Sisters. Now, is Aaron and Robert could get married and have some happiness, even with Liv with them it would be awesome.

I just realized what the point of the whole Paddy and Tess affair storyline was: to drive a wedge between Paddy and Aaron so that Aaron would resort back to cutting as a way of coping, but then takes it too far (just like in this episode). Aaron in such a dangerous state ignites the love Robert has for Aaron that he (Robert) buried deep into his subconscious. Then Aaron will feel like Robert is the only there for him and turn to Robert for comfort and safety. Boom: Robron is back on!
At least that makes sense to me because it does seem a bit of a forced storyline for Paddy to have an affair...
