Allen is an idiot. Rams outplayed the Saints. Yet Saints twice get back in the game and you’re right he goes for it on 4th down before half and then onside kick with 4 minutes left. Probably wouldn’t have won but doing an onside kick gave the ball to the Rams pretty much in field goal position. So he doesn’t even give the defense a chance to get the offense the ball back.
Sean Payton was about as aggressive as a coach can be going for it on 4th down yet he would of NEVER went for it on 4th and 5 at the 50 yard line with a min left before halfitme in a 10-7 ballgame. Even if the Saints converted and got a TD or FG they will either tie or be up 4 at halftime. Not that drastic and the Rams get the ball to start 2nd half. What is drastic is if you don’t get it and the Rams score a TD to make it 17-7 and they’re getting the ball to start 2nd half. They scored a FG on that drive. Up 20-7 instead it could of been 13-7.
Then Carr throws a pick on next drive. So Rams have another short field and its now 27-7. Game over.
Allen not only doesn’t have the team ready to play. He doesn’t understand situational football apparently because those 2 decisions are common sense.
The problem with going for it on fourth down is that he didn't decide to go for it UNTIL fourth down. No pre planning, no forward thinking, no idea wtf is going on.

Stafford didn't have to make a single hard throw all game. It struck me how easy their offense looked. Guys wide open all over the place. Nice and easy. Never under pressure.
Everything for the Saints looked hard. The offense is so poorly coached and designed.
This game pretty much summed up our season and where we stand as a team in a nutshell.

It all starts with the coaching staff. IF we get rid of Carr first (which won’t happen because of the contract), we’re still gonna be a clown team. DA could be the head coach of the 49ers and they would have a losing record.

I’m mad at the season like everyone else, but we can’t say that Derek Carr is the sole reason we have a losing record. He’s a vet, but he’s playing a new scheme and a bad one at that. But for what it’s worth, I think he’s doing the best he can. With that said, he’s definitely enough to be able to win more games. The reason why we aren’t is the coaches. I ride with these players, but not the HC and OC.
Probably the same thing with Carr on the Niners: he'd still find a way to lose 6 games out of 10.

Its losses like these that make me appreciate the determination and accuracy of Bree’s and the matchups and creative play calling that Sean gave us over the years. That game was painful to watch Oh well …Go Niners!!!!

I’m so done with this team. Dennis Allen loves coaching that defense and they still get cooked. Why the hell do we keep pounding Kamara up the middle and that isn’t who he is, he should be open all day on any LB or S and some CBs. It’s so stupid. They have no clue how to use any of these weapons.
The defense is terrible,need some pass rushers,cam Jordan is old,besides Bryan breese and Carl granderson,that's it ,maybe kaulen saunders at times, Matthew Stafford looked like Joe Montana in the pocket ,no pass rush

Our defense is absolutely terrible, our offensive line is terrible, even when derek carr has a decent game we cant hardly block for him or get one of the most talented backs in the league a little room to run every now and then. Its crazy. Mr jordan is probably my favorite saints player of all time next to brees and vilma but he definitely isnt great anymore. And you know u a fan when you going so hard at the punter! I dont even know what to say except i really wish we would just lose out and maybe mrs benson will realize how big of a mess this management and coaching truly are.

I think the last 5 games were all meaningful when he helped the Raiders won it all to get to playoffs with a interim coach and losing his deep threat. Bad Juju does follow him. Thought the Saints had a great D and coaching staff but I was mistaken unfortunately. Either way, I think he will still change a lot of people's perspectives before his career is over. Only time will tell though.

I disagree with a lot of the "blame DA for the offense, get rid of Carr, blah blah blah" drivel, but I do agree DA needs to go for his in game decision making and for one argument that Stephen A. Smith has used when talking about other HCs before: DA is a defensive minded coach. That side of the ball is his "specialty". If you watch throughout the season, the defense is regressing. They just got exposed by the Rams from the opening kick off. We're talking complete domination. The players are still studs (though getting older and needing some depth), so I pin that on the coaching. Regardless of the whys though, I think we pretty much all agree he needs to go. So question for Who Dat Nation - who would you want to bring in next year as HC? Forget GM and QB. Thats gets too convoluted and is unlikely to happen. Get realisitc for a minute and talk HC looking at who is realistically available out there. Who ya got and why?

I saw a close game with a few mistakes - yes, the 4th down try at halftime was bad, in retrospect - and a defense that could not get off the field despite some good play at times. Olave’s shoe apparently fell apart on the play for the first down before the half. Had it not been that touchdown, and had we got a field goal before the half, saints win 25-23. Stop it! That rams team is good!

At this point, it's becoming increasingly obvious that there's some sort of unspoken closed doors reason why the organization can't fire him. Every single person except for Dennis Allen wants him gone, including fans and journalists. It's completely obvious that if he doesn't go, the saints franchise will be on a permanent downward spiral as talent leaves each year and nobody comes to replace them. So there must be a reason why the managers and owner would rather have their franchise fail than fire him. Look for a major scandal coming soon.
