Hi Curtis, excellent video, just cleaned out my R70 purchased in Spain 5 years ago, serviced each year by the recommended agent, this year with a mate and a sack truck took the beastie out to the patio, can't believe the debris build up in fire and chimney in one year thanks again, fired up and working a treat, ps after last year my mate turned it on before I had reconnected the chimney, only took two weeks to get the dust out of the house.
Thanks Steve! Without a shopvac it would be a Sh** Show. Never thought about dragging it outside on a handtruck (stack truck). Would probably be faster but the neighbors might not like the cloud of dust....
Awesome. I have the Ravelli RV80 and it is absolutely impossible to find a video that cuts straight to the chase. Thanks for making this!! The gallerys behind the fireX were clogged in mine and I NEVER saw the tech I hired remove them before so I know he wasn’t doing it right. Thanks!
What about the air intake hole near the ignition rod under the Burn-pot? Do you need to clear that hole Out as well? Do you have a video of this? Thank you this was really helpful! Not a-lot Of videos on Ravelli pellet stoves.
Hello Dan. I haven’t cleaned out the air intake on my stove. My stove pulls air from the crawl space under the house. When I replaced the airflow sensor the intake pipe was very clean. If you pull air from the room yours might need cleaning but I think you might have had an airflow sensor error by now too. The Google searches I did when my sensor went bad said to clean the sensor first but mine was very clean. If you decide the intake needs cleaning, be very careful around the airflow sensor. It’s a printed circuit board sticking into the pipe. One of my videos discusses replacement of the sensor. Thank you for your kind comments.

@@FUBARtractors sounds not unlike the colonoscopy I just had lol. The cleaning handle for the heat exchange tubes doesn’t go all the way back into the front of the stove. I’ve tried to clean it all off and it still gets stuck nearly 3/4 of the way back in. if I can just get my head and eyes inside the stove and upside down I think I can get it
@@MaineBassmaster lol. Yup mine gets stuck too. I’ve increased my draught all the way up last week so it’s time to clean it again. The flame looks a little lazy. Bummer. 3 hours I won’t get back.
The galleries as you call the, being behind the fire brick is a PIA to clean. We have a Napoleon NOS45 and those are easily accessible and they get a clean once a week. The heat exchangers on ours have a cleaning rod that you pull out to clean them. Yours is a heck of a lot more work to clean than ours…YIKES.
Yes, mine is a LOT of work. I bought it because it was red, seriously. Mine has the tube bundle scraper but it still gets a lot of build-up in areas it doesn't contact. I think a mini-split is on the to do list now. Take care, thanks for your comment Stephen.
Mine has 25000 hours and still have original firepot, think this is defective. Mine firex chamber wall also cracked but in right corner, i was a bit worried but it stopped there and stil have original wall. Overall is a great stoove
25000 hours? Wow!! That is almost 3 years running 24 hrs a day! Do you run it using the internal thermostat or just on High (work) or low (modulation)?
@@FUBARtractors I set temperature at 20 degree (68) and extracted the ambient sensor for 10 cm and curved 90 degree up. Power i select from 3 to 5 depending on outside temperature
Hello Gsquare. No, I had the stove “professionally” installed. I was told newer houses (mine built 1993) are sealed tighter and it might affect the stove performance. The pipe is 2” spiral aluminum tube similar to a dryer vent. They broke a hole in the hearth with a chisel and then used a hole saw to drill down thru the floor. They pushed a rod down to dislodge the insulation and pushed the pipe in. There is a black flange to hide the nasty damage to the hearth. The air inlet on the stove is smaller so they crushed the aluminum pipe by hand and used aluminum duct tape to attach it. If your stove is near an outside wall I would go thru the wall horizontally. Make sure you screen the opening. In the spring I went down in the crawl space to inspect the inlet and found the insulation laying on the vapor barrier. A “professional” job.
Well I was just taking the top screw out from the top inside firex and sure enough, it snapped. Got a little nub now sticking out. Hit it with liquid wrench and am praying it loosened up enough to take it out with a pair of vise grips.
Thanks for this video! Has been almost impossible to find information on this unit.
This works for me as well, adapting it to my Ravelli Roma insert unit. thank you!

Grrr our stove looks and burns great but it’s a royal pain to clean. Is there not a easy way to remove and clean the tube bundle? Thanks
Hello Don, I’ve never tried to remove the bundle. I just use the bottle brush and flail it up there!!
