There's an underrated band called 311 that plays a massive concert every other year on 03/11. Sometimes it was two days, sometimes three, but you basically get a few days where the band plays upwards of 80 songs. It's an experience, it's been in Vegas that last few times, and it was in New Orleans a few times when I started going. Very stoner band, their styles range from rap rock to funk to reggae to pop and everything in between. Those shows are amazing!
Arizonan here! The stadium in Jerry Maguire is Frank Kush Field (Arizona State’s stadium) where the Cardinals played before State Farm stadium was built.
Lawrence would be a great guest considering he hosted a lot of the podcast bits. It would be cool to have him revise a segment like hard netting. Elyse could pull some strings and bring Sam. That blue fella would be fun to see. Freddie Wong has been in a few Funhaus thing. Zach Anner has been in videos but not on the podcast yet.
I have not watched the podcast but I recently found weens country album, “12 Golden Country Greats” and I have listened to it more times than I can count. So Ryan wins, Ween is best. Congratulations Ween.
taylor has written every single song in her discography - fun fact: a critic once stated taylor couldn't possibly be as great of a writer without the help of others, so she wrote her speak now album entirely on her own. that album went on to sell over 1 million copies in its first week of release :)
-But did it sell at least equal to her highest selling record she made with other writers? Cuz if it didn't, it kinda makes the critic's point, for them, right?- Edit: okay i went and googled out of curiosity Her best selling album is "1989" Sold ~14million copies. Every song on that album (except one) was written with Max Martin (one of the highest selling industry writers of our time) and Shellback (another well known writer/producer). The one song without them, was co-written with somebody else also (Jack Antonoff). "Speak Now" sold ~6million copies. So, mathematically (and probably financially), the critic is right. By about 8 million sales, Taylor Swift is better when working with other writers, than when writing without them.
@Fin n i think you have to remember also that speak now came out before she was really "famous", while 1989 came out during the height of her popstar superstardom. if you take these factors into play, i think it makes it more impressive she sold so many copies of speak now. regardless, i just think we shouldn't take away from Taylor's songwriting ability. It's so easy to say "did she ACTUALLY write that?" and push that false and annoying narrative lol. Nothing wrong with artists who don't write songs, it's just that taylor shouldn't be placed in this category :)
@@charmedNluckyP3 asking 'did she write that?' isnt false narrative. Its a question. If someone gave a false answer, that would be. If the answer is 'co-wrote', I think it's down to personal opinion if it diminishes her. I don't think that, personally. Many of the best songs are written as group efforts.
Man, Ryan is my people , I wish he was around when I was at my friend’s bachelor party and I was on shrooms on the streets of NOLA. I would’ve definitely made him my +1 in the room just to make jokes.
I've never heard a Ween song so I looked them up on Wikipedia to try and get some context and of course there's a mythology subheading. I should have known Ryan's favorite band would have lore.
Anti-Hero is an ear parasite. I'm not particularly a Taylor Swift fan (I like her ok), and I don't know if I have ever even heard the song in it's entirety, but I have had it on my head for something like a month.
Love this podcast, love the topics. Although the survivor stuff is a little harder to relate too since I've never seen it but it's still great hearing Ryans picks/reasons. Also I appreciate the Ryan Lore
The "am I the ass hole" segment was good. I would love to see more cast members, wanna see James and I would love to see old cast members back i know Bruce just had a baby but L Dog is free
Guy just need to watch all in chronological fh videos from begginning to last while also keeping up with the current vids. Now that’s how it’s done. (Started that in 2017 and ended in like 2018). Been caught up ever since
Ryan is fully right. If you change one line in a song. you are then able to get a credit for writting. She does country music and 90% of country songs are wrote by a comity in Nashville
Yeah, and both the songs they mentioned in the video are written and produced by Max Martin and Stenbäck, the swedish music producers who have like 40 generic Billboard #1 hits between them with different artists so I would bet some money on that Taylor's contribution wasn't exactly monumental.
Lol Ryan’s disbelief at the beginning that Taylor Swift couldn’t possibly outplay a Ween set list
That security guard who was a Funhaus fan story was great! Shoutout to that fan for doing your job 😂
"So I just gave this guy my Christmas money" - Ryan never disappoints I swear!
Props to Ryan for listening to Ween play Ocean Man 99 times
"Come for her, Swifties, come for her!" - Ryan Hailey.
Ryan scoring with a MILTSNTPAAHG (mom id like to sit next to platonically at a hockey game)
Should we start a collection to get Ryan a wallet chain? Darren Barrett style.
Who’s Barren Darrett?

Thank You Lindsey for your family being incredible hosts this weekend. I was incredibly jealous not for T Swift but that I couldn't meet you!

Loving the random topics on these podcasts. Makes it feel fresh every episode.

Big fan of Lindsey games, more Lindsey games and quizzes
It’ll be cool to hear about Taytortot and have her on the podcast!
Ryan's life is one big improv show
Man, Ryan is my people , I wish he was around when I was at my friend’s bachelor party and I was on shrooms on the streets of NOLA. I would’ve definitely made him my +1 in the room just to make jokes.
Ryan's "Christmas Guy," is Burl Ives.
I'm with Ryan on this one, couldn't afford to go to Ween but I so wanted to.
Idea for Lindsey, would love if you talked more about your fav romcoms or plants 💕
Yoooo those seats were mad good!
Craine donuts?!? Lmao. Fkn nice.
Wow, Ryan finished a water bottle!
sounds like Taylor blew Ween outta the damn water
Yey more funhaus podcast

Oh my god yes, Ween!! Such a great band
0:26 Ry-dogging it?!
Ryan, never 2nd guess or talk down one of your stories. They are infinitely more eventful than what 99% of people do on a weekend.
Did Ryan mix up Bon Iver with Bing Crosby???
It was Burl Ives! Singer of Have A Holly Jolly Christmas. Common mistake!!!
lets raw dog this podcast!

A lot of Ryan's stories need the animation treatment.
i believe taylor swift has written or co written every song in her discography!
Ryan Hailey, the most interesting man in the world
The "am I the ass hole" segment was good. I would love to see more cast members, wanna see James and I would love to see old cast members back i know Bruce just had a baby but L Dog is free
My huge dream is to see the Metallica Stadium tour show that is also being a 2- nighter in Glendale AZ too!
AITA; I definitely was on both sides of that lol!
How did Ryan get through airport security without his ID?
So jealous of Ryan!!
Godz, can we talk about anything other than Taylor Swift? Yawn
Guy just need to watch all in chronological fh videos from begginning to last while also keeping up with the current vids. Now that’s how it’s done. (Started that in 2017 and ended in like 2018). Been caught up ever since
I saw tape face on a TV show that got him to where he is now. Cant remember the name. He's great
Well, Ryan gets how songwriting credits work wrong pretty quickly
29:25 so getting his identity stolen is gonna be Ryan's new thing now huh?
Best episode yet!
Boney-ver for Bon Iver? Hahaha wtf Lindsey 😂
You ever watch a sober person and a not-so-sober person have a conversation?
Ryan, are you watching Australian Survivor?
Do you guys know more people who are competing in creator clash 2 who you could interview?
Alanah Pearce.
It would be cool to see Alanah on an episode
I think anyone from the Kinda Funny group would be a great guest if they're ever down your way.
There is no way in hell Bon Iver is not pronounced the way it's spelled
James or Aleks would be cool.
Simpin' for Survivor is too perfect for the segment name 👌🏼
Woooo podcast

she's pretty open about co-writing credits, from what i could tell.

Get alana, rahul, bruce, lawrence, more elyse
Wait… Ryan has $5,000 to lose?
