Dale and Matt are 100 percent right on several fronts.
    1) bigger staff doesn’t mean better staff. Ask Brandon Staley how that worked out.
    2) our fans, as I am , can be disappointed in the finishes in recent years. But when you hear fans say “I’m done” and trash the franchise-and you see fans of teams like the lions, browns , etc etc stay loyal- Dale’s take of many fans thinking they “deserve “ super bowls a completely legitimate comment.
There are other points but I’ll leave it at 2.
Thanks Dale and Matt for injecting some reality into people.

Matt, Dale, great show as always!...regarding the pass catcher Tyler Warren as an option for the first round, it would be great to have such a talented weapon...the only thing is that you can not trust Coach Tomlin to use him properly...I can just hear him yelling at him in Latrobe after an acrobatic catch..."YEAH...BUT CAN YOU BLOCK?!!"...this quateranry idea of Steler Football will continue to hold us for the forseable future...the same reason why we want "blocking Wide Receivers" instead of just playmakers...anyway, all the best for you at the combine!

This is going to come across as negative and I don’t mean it to be that way. I’m a long time listener. I’ve been a reader of Dale for 20+ years. I think he is very knowledgeable and I overall trust and like him.
The condescending/mocking voice and comments that Dale does towards fans is exhausting . I understand that Dale is employed by the organization. I don’t expect him to go on the air and bury the way they do things. I don’t expect him to come on and say fire everyone. But to come on and be dismissive to fans opinions is maddening. To defend the Steelers at every juncture hurts one’s credibility . Prime example, they discussed the Texans making staff changes earlier this week. They discussed how poor their OL and how clear it was a change was needed. Yet, they don’t make that claim to the Steelers . Both starting T’s led the league in sacks allowed. The running game was abysmal. Yet, Dale tells us Pat Meyer is great and then tells us we don’t know as fans what position coaches do so how could we possibly think a change is needed?!
It would be nice if Dale was constructively critical of some of the things the Steelers do like he is when discussing other teams across the league. Particularly, teams who have all had better success than the Steelers have in recent years .
Sean McVay has had 14 assistants poached since 2017. 14. Yet, we fans are crazy to discuss Tomlin’s tree or lack there of. And Arians doesn’t count Dale! You don’t get credit for a branch for a coach you fired! You get credit for a branch when a coach is directly promoted from your staff to a position he has never held before. Also, the past 3 Steeler OC’s that have been fired haven’t found work after being fired. But please condescend us fans more when we dare ask questions or are critical bc hey, no losing seasons!
There’s no way that you can objectively argue that the team is making progress towards winning a SB. But I’m ready for more of the condescending voice bc the Steelers never do anything wrong!

      This exactly.
He will mock and criticize every other team or player, but his “analysis” of the Steelers is “they have to play better” or “that wasn’t great.” That’s not analysis.

Anyway, thanks for bringing a little bit of home to California . I love the discussions during season as well as postseason. I tend to mark draft a lot of the same guys you do and I was baffled about how the Steelers draft went, and how many of those players were either mocked to the Steelers at one point or had been talked about.
Let’s hopefully have another draft like last year and that is how we will build a championship team again.

Dale/Matt: Can you do me a favor and take a look at DB Sebastian Castro from Iowa. I see a slot CB in him. Iowa likes the Dbs with their back to the goal and then come up and not only hit but tackle. Texas has a safety that is similar, but Castro covers in the slot. I like him, 2nd or 3rd round?
I was also thinking regarding the draft , Matt always talks about fishing in the waters with specific fish. And I think in this draft double dipping on the defensive line, getting a running back and getting a third Tight End would be utilizing this draft’s strengths’ perfectly. Not that you can answer everything, but if they could focus free agency with defensive backs and wide receivers, you’ll be in better shape during the draft. Sounds so easy. LOL
Two mid round, running backs that I like are the Tennessee and the Virginia Tech running backs .
What about the QB from Louisville?
    Enjoy the senior bowl !
