Hi Luke, thanks for this. To reiterate a suggestion already mentioned, it would be helpful to have the ability to input your entry /setup criteria. And secondly to be able to run the stats on the various setups, which will allow you to see what is your most profitable setups.

Dude this looks amazing, great video, and the journal itself looks awesome. I'm new to all of this but would love to jump straight to the premium version. Quick question, I will be using 2 currencies CAD & USD, is there facility for that? And what about multiple brokerage accounts, any way to account for that. like a dropdown to choose which account etc. If not, any plans for those sort of feature in future? And, one price includes all the 4 journals? PS... downloading the free version now to get familiar with it. Cheers!

Hello Luke. Your spreadsheet looks like just what I need. I have several trading accounts. Personal, super fund, crypto. With the premium version can i make copies of the spreadsheet so I can keep these accounts separate.? Or could they be put on separate files of Excel.? Also could I fill in past data, say 7 years+, to keep my past records more organised ? Is there a facility to keep track of brokerage, spread, holding costs, commissions.?
I am already using free version it's superb for the same I have mailed you 2-3 times in the past...

Hi Luke, seems great and I've downloaded the free version to test out.. .but how do I enter FX trades that are less than 1.0? The guide says, 1.23456 is recorded as 12345.6 - all good. BUT what if i'm below 1.0, say on USDCHF, I enter at 0.95343, which becomes 09534.3 according to your guide, however, excel drops the Zero, so that it is recorded at 95343.0 - this then throws the whole computation out. How do you properly record these? Is it possible? Thanks!
I exclusively trade options contracts. Is there a version which supports this, especially adjusting cost basis of underlying equity and profitability of each option position after multiple partial trades of multiple contracts per underlying.? Thanks
Thanks, Luke! I like your spreadsheet. It's in Excel that I am more familiar with. It has several stats in your Trade Summary that I find useful. It includes deposits/withdrawals processing, position size calculator and scaling. Just a quick question: do you have a version for options trading like covered calls.

Hi James, yes you have full access to customise the journal if you feel comfortable doing so. You can't import data from other places however.

Thank-you for the free trade journal it is excellent. Currently I am using Excel 2011 for Mac and it works flawlessly. However I am wondering if the premium version requires an up dated Excel to utilize the advanced features.
Hi Mark, I honestly couldn't tell you for sure. The premium journal doesn't use many complex features (if any actually). Just a lot more formulas etc

great video, do you calculate FIFO when you sell the trades? do you average the price when you buy more shares for the same stock? thanks
Thanks Arlette 👍 You can choose which shares are sold first. The journal looks at each portion of the trade and works out a total result from the result of each portion

in a scenario where we enter with a position and i want to add a target scale out position with the same amount of the risk (the total amount of the stop loss). Does the tool alow me to calculate the target of that scale out target?

Hi Felipe, yeah they would work for that 👍if you are spread betting on the indexes then you could use the spread bet journal, Lots version if you trade CFDs or shares if you are trading funds

Hi Ashish, I'm not developing the free journals any more, just the premium versions. I haven't made an options journal as it stands (I haven't/don't trade options) but I'd be happy to look at making one if you think the existing journals could be adapted for options.

hey, you did a really great job, i'm thinking about getting the paid version. is it possible to compare different strategies with each other? or do you just have to open a new journal for every single strategy.
Hi Suxxa, not at the moment. This is something I'll look to add though because people would really like this feature. For the moment though, you could use a separate journal for each strategy

Hi Luke,.. In the premium version is it possible to insert a new row ? I mean i take say 4 trades and then after that I want to scale in or out of the first trade then, I will have to enter the data directly below the Trade 1 row for it to work, right? So is it possible to insert a row and update the scale in/scale out?
Hi Bipin, yeah you have full control over the journals so you can either insert a new row and copy the formulas down or you can cut and paste the trade data down a row to make room. Whichever is easier for you

I just got the premium and first impression is really impressive. Also so easy to use 👊🏽 thnx! One thing doesn’t work unfortunately, in trade log he doesn’t calculate time: “0 days h hrs 1 mins” what to do?

Do you have a google sheet online version? Off-line excel is not easy to access .
The journal does open in Google Sheets but it doesn't do a perfect job of converting it to a sheets format. It loses some formulas and some of the styling. You can use Excel online to open it as well. Alternatively you can just save the normal excel file on a cloud storage 👍

Hi Cervantes, you can use the shares version for stocks so you would just enter how many stocks you have traded. All four versions of the journal are included when you buy the journal. The discount code was only valid for the first 7 days after launch.

Hey Luke, great product!!!... there is a feature that I saw on another journal that id like to see here... they called it power of quitting...it allowed you to determine how many trades you should take in a day, before quitting... allowing you to build a strategy that would allow you to finish positive as soon as possible... for example, should you be looking for 2 winners as opposed to 3 winners for this session.... can you add something like that?

Why are the fonts so small. Being able to see the spreadsheet while you explain it will indeed help one's to make a decision to purchase. I like the layout of the spreadsheet.
You can increase the zoom on the document if needed or increase font sizes. You get full control of the spreadsheet

You can also suggest this improvement in the Journal Community if you purchase them and if other users want to see it too then I would look to add it on the next update 👍

Hi Raf, the dot or comma setting can be changed in excel settings I believe. You won't be able to manually change them

Have you unprotected the sheet? Go to 'Review' at the top and click unprotect. The video tutorials are there if you get stuck
