Is it possible this would be the same fix for an 05 Lincoln Aviator? My window part will come open but the lock doesn’t reset so I have to pull it manually for the window to close, but the door makes the unlock sound but wont come unlatched.
Actually once you get the panel off if you just reach in that hole and grab the piece of metal that cable is connected to and turn it it will usually open so you can get the door open. You still might have to replace the mechanism but that will at least get the door open so you can get to the bolts.
Get the back panel off and very very very simply cut the two bolts out with a cordless grinder and 6" cutoff wheel. Buy a new latch for 36 bucks. It will be smoky smoky smoky so use a filter to breath
I was having intermittent failure of the lock so I already had my panel off when the lock failed for good. I'm not sure how you can get it off with to door closed. Sorry I can't help you with that.
There is a video of a guy doing a lincoln navigator watch that video to see how the panel comes off. But it is i think 4 screws maybe 6 and the rest is push panel clips you just pry out. Becareful old brittle plastic
Thank you that information was very helpful. I open my back 🚪.
Get someone to hold the camera so you can see what your talking about and how do you get the panel off if th3 gate is closed

I only had the lift gate lock failure. If they are all in op it might be something else.
