Bought one yesterday for 70€ with nh 35a movement and they promised to deliver it in 9 days. My first Pagani design watch. I used to build my watches from parts sourced from Ali express. I was amazed by the compliments I received and the quality of the for example lume on the dial and the movements. But I noticed that I was overpaying in comparison to already assembled watches. This brand gives me the most confidence for the price.

I just purchased the PD-1733. I cannot wait until it arrives. I am a huge admirer of the Rolex Milgauss and I absolutely love how Pagani Design has made so many homage timepieces at really affordable price ranges. I own the Batman homage PD-1662 and the PD-1664 Gold Daytona on the black band and I absolutely love them and have gotten so many compliments when wearing them. Pagani Design really inspired my interest in timepieces which began during 2020 in lockdown. I also stumbled across your channel last year which I have to say has been an absolute pleasure. I love watching all your videos and I appreciate the amount of love and care you put into them. Your reviews are very helpful to refer to if someone wants to purchase a watch as you don't leave out any details. I cannot wait till my PD-1733 Milgauss gets here so I can wear it and enjoy it. Ps. Very nice looking watch. Some nice recent stuff coming from Pagani. Whilst prices have increased it appears the quality & finishing have also improved. Looking for something good in 38 mm, though.

I previously reviewed the Rolex Milgauss black version, and the 1733 is a good homage of it. I saw other collectors complaining about the lack of Germany shipping on AliExpress during the sale. I totally agree with you about the lume Pagani uses; I would gladly pay an extra $5-$10 for come BGW9 or Super Luminova, so, come on, Pagani! The only thing I wish for with this case design is that they would thin down the sides of the case to closer reflect the OP case they are mimicking. That being said, I own two watches with this case design (1690 and 1692), and they are both incredible watches for the money; super comfortable, well made, and, to my astonishment, the NH35 in the watches are both running within COSC certified levels (less than +/- 6 secs/day). What more could I ask for?
Thank you for watching Dayne. "The only thing I wish for with this case design is that they would thin down the sides of the case to closer reflect the OP case they are mimicking." It isn't possible to reduce the thickness of the 1692 to below 11.7mm, and make the flanks lower profile. This is due to the NH35A thickness; and also the thickness of the crystal, and case back in order to withstand 200 metres of pressure. I appreciate this 1733 is only rated to 100 metres, however the same case is used for other 1692 models as detailed with a 200 metre rating. To reduce the flanks one would need to use a lower profile movement such as the PT5000. The overall thickness of the watch could then be reduced to circa 11mm, with lower profile flanks as per the Oyster Perpetual 41. I would like to see Pagani Design use the PT5000 in the 1692 to reduce the thickness. The NH35A thickness is often a reason why 200 metre Chinese watches have thick cases, with slab sided flanks as per the Black Bay. Regards, #WR4K

I absolutely LOVE my "Centigauss," (the movement is ISO certified anti-magnetic at >85 Gauss, so I'm rounding up a bit) which is both one onehundredth of the magnetic resistance as well as costing one onehundredth of the price of a genuine Milgauss. But I cannot understand why they didn't polish the center links like the Rolex. Also, my lume is utterly TERRIBLE! I'm jealous of your example piece, mine is awful, the hands are invisible after 15-20 minutes.
The centre links look polished in the stock photos on the Pagani aliexpress website. I just ordered mine a few days ago and will report back when it arrives.

Just received my watch today. My watch did not come with the orange "UGS" marking on the dial which I rather like. Looks more uniform this way IMO. Another watch for my collection which I'll get enjoyment out of.

How do you think these compare to each other, price aside. Also, is there's another worth considering, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
In terms of; QC, build quality, materials, finishing, movement; the Seamaster is higher level overall. The Oceanking is close to Tudor, and Omega level in QC, build quality, and finishing. However the materials, and movement aren't Seamaster level. The Marine Black has good build quality, however the finishing, and movement is a level below the Oceanking. Overall the Oceanking is a good compromise between the Marine Black, and Seamaster. One is getting a Tudor Black Bay quality watch at a lower price. It isn't Seamaster level quality, but then its much less expensive. Another watch worth considering is the Black Bay. The build quality, QC, finishing, are all close to Seamaster level. Also the Kenissi movement is COSC certified with 70 hours power reserve. The Oceanking is equal overall to a Black Bay; however I would choose the latter for even money. Reason being, if you ever did decide to sell it in the future; the Black Bay holds its value preowned versus the Oceanking. Regards, #WR4K

At the start of the video, you mentioned that they can ship from within the EU (for which they use a blue box) rather than from China (for which they use a black box). Since I live in the EU, that would be extremely convenient. I clicked on the link that you included in the comment section, but could only see the option to ship from China. Although Trendy Men's Watch Store only offer "China" on their listing, in reality orders from within the EU are automatically shipped from their German warehouse via Liege in Belgium. For example, I ordered this one which was only available from China, but it actually came from Germany via Liege. The store carries stock in both China, and Germany. What are your thoughts on the quality and refinement of dial typography on chinese watches? After being able to match swiss and japanese on build quality, should they be looking to improve on that, perhaps find a font that's playing in the same level as them and even exceed?
The Serified Garamond font used by Rolex is the perfect watch logo font. Often Chinese brands will use Arial which doesn't look as good. I designed my WR4K logo in 20 minutes while having breakfast one morning. I chose Arial in capitals with the red retangle to make it suitable for branding; my channel, polo shirts, leather watch rolls, and watch dials. Yes Chinese brands should improve their logos. Often the problem is when they translate a word from Mandarin to English it has a different meaning, and doesn't look or sound right on a watch dial as a brand. The other problem is many of the suitable brand names are already trademarked. 5 letter brand names work best; Rolex, Tudor, Omega, etc. Although WR4K is 4 letters, it works as it has meaning; Watch Reviews 4K, which was my original channel name. Pagani Design has made the correct decision deleting the text and just using the silver applied shield on new watches. Collectors know the shield is Pagani Design now. They have experienced an increase in sales since making the change so will continue using the shield. However its difficult for a brand to please the majority of collectors within the low-tier market. For example Liao Jiaming (San Martin owner) was considering changing from the cursive "San Martin" logo to the hex; but didn't know what the market preferred. So he made a video showing 4 different dial logo's; cursive, original "SAN MARTIN", printed hex, applied hex. The result was split 25% on each. This is the problem when one asks collectors for feedback on 4 options, 25% will choose 1 of each of the 4 options; rather than a majority 75% choosing the applied hex etc. This is why San Martin uses both the applied hex, and printed hex, on some models. It is better just to choose one logo, and not offer the collectors the choice. This is why with my WR4K x Berny watch I just showed the design, and now the watch is being made the way I like it; not trying to satisfy 10 different requests from collectors. Regards, #WR4K.
@@YannickKhong It is good they deleted "UGS" and "PT Time" from the 1733 and 1692. The latter has no meaning, they just printed it on as they thought it looked good. I advised them to delete the aforementioned, and they agreed. However they won't delete "Sport" from the 1644, and 1664 models which also looks bad. Specification at 6 versus minimal text is subjective; some collectors like or dislike it. I prefer clean dials with less text as per the 1733. The 1692 is OK now "UGS" is deleted. Chinese brands generally make the changes after they see poor sale results of a V1, correcting it in the V2. They don't tend to take good advice before making the V1. For example I get to see V1 designs from some low-tier brands before they go into production; and make suggestions. However the brand often does what they want anyway; then learns the hard way when the V1 doesn't sell well. They corrected the 1733 deleting the "UGS" when they realised it would kill sales. Same applies to the "PT Time" on the 1692. In any case they would be better off just using Arial font for the 6 text, rather than abhorrent text as per "PT Time". Regards, #WR4K
Bought mine on your recommendation. One of the screws in the bracelet is sheared and.cannot get it out and there is no slot, so will have to drill it out. . Didn't come with the nato strap either,and the top of the watch looks wider than the bottom. Not sure if this is intentional. But other than my gripes and the QC issues.. it is a lovely watch. Nicer than watches I have for 4 times the price.

This one looks good. I bought one years ago that had sharp edges and overall looked like a ugly blob. They seem to be picking it up and also the price is going way up too. I’m just sayin. I have their moonwatch I like it I’m not a hater. We just need to remember these are way way way less expensive copys of iconic watches and have fun with them.
Thank you for watching. Agreed the prices have increased a lot, however the QC is gradually improving on some models like this 1733 which justifies it. The 1701 head is good, but the sharp edges on the bracelet let it down. Therefore difficult to justify the 144 Euro price point without a good bracelet. The problem is the QC varies on the same model, so it is the luck of the draw whether one gets a good or bad 1661 etc. I have reviewed some 1661's with excellent bezel action, and some with back play; so its hard to define if a model is excellent quality/value at the respective price point when the QC varies rather than being consistent. @@gmotionedc5412 1692. I am delighted with mine. The glossy enamel black dial is lovely. Also the AR coating works well. I have 6 pieces in my collection and find myself wearing it often, more than the others. The sunburst blue dial, and green crystal on the 1733 are nice; but I feel it just looks too much like a direct 1:1 clone of the Milgauss, too close for a homage. With the 1692 it has the previous no crown guards case, but the current 05 dial; so is a mix. Also it doesn't have any yellow on the dial so isn't a 1:1 clone, the way a homage should be. The 1733 is just to close to the original for my liking, even though it has brushed lugs, and centre links rather than polished as per the Milgauss. Regards, #WR4K
I bought two of this model and I have issues in both with the clasp. It's very hard to unlock it from the wrist i need to introduce a key to leverage force from the inside. Anyone having same problem? Also adjusting micro-sizes of the clasp also hard.
If you don't already own one, the best investment you can make for bracelet resizing and removal is to spend the $$$ on a propper Bergeon 6767F rather than other similar but much cheaper tools. It is a little finer than many others and seems to work better at getting into sometimes tight, difficult to get to areas of bracelets. Amazon has them, they ain't cheap but IMHO they are worth it (if you have a modest collection of watches). I guess the tight clasp will loosen up with use. Have you tried lifting it from the side, rather than getting your nails under the small depression in the clasp??? May help......or not.
If you put this watch on the grey and black striped nato strap, it should have come with, the clash is so shocking, you feel like Heath Ledger in the Joker.
Lug to lug is 49mm……… I consider 48mm to be the sweet spot…… 👀👀👀👀👀, so a 1mm difference is a deal breaker ????? Come on man, also the thickness is 11.7 mm, and the usual is 13mm, a total difference of 1.3mm 👀👀👀👀, do these measurements make any difference in the real world ? I think not.
It's got all the characteristics that I care about (nice to look at and keeps accurate time with a mechanical movement) for one-hundredth the price. I'm more than satisfied.
Just because these cheap Chinese watches say they’re 200m water resistant .. doesn’t mean they actually are. This is perhaps the crux of why you buy a Rolex, or an Omega over some cheap knockoff .. because you’re actually getting proper quality with the real thing. Don’t get me wrong .. I’m all for buying fun watches too .. I have more than a few Phylida’s in my collection .. but I take their spec with a huge bucket of salt.
I have this one. I have been diving with it in Greece recently. I dived mostly to 30~35 meters daily for 1 month, this watch has no problem underwater. To be honest, for regular people, no one is going to dive to 200m unless they are professional deep divers.
@@MaximSupernov That's my point. If you are a professional diver who routinely goes to 200m+. I doubt you are buying these cool watches and taking them diving. I mean I am sure you could but I just suspect that person is buying a more reliable name brand in that field and willing to pay the extra $$$. JMHO.
@@bcharlz2513 Exactly, if I wanted a watch that regularly can handle depth I wouldn't be buying a 26k Rolex. I mean I can buy a pagani 166 times and surely one would work but I digress. Buying a 26K Rolex to dive 200M is not the "crux" of why you'd buy one. For the average working man, would you be ok with your tanks ramming against the lugs of an expensive rolex?
I hate ~most date windows because I hate that most luxury manufacturers will put a magnifier above it, which ruins the look of the dial from a distance and at certain angles, in my humble opinion of course. Especially in a watch like this, where most of the attention has been put into the dial. Personally I am not fucking blind, so I see no reason to not offer a non-magnifying sapphire option, but many beautiful watches have no such options, and it is a shame.

I totally agree with you about the lume Pagani uses; I would gladly pay an extra $5-$10 for come BGW9 or Super Luminova, so, come on, Pagani! The only thing I wish for with this case design is that they would thin down the sides of the case to closer reflect the OP case they are mimicking. That being said, I own two watches with this case design (1690 and 1692), and they are both incredible watches for the money; super comfortable, well made, and, to my astonishment, the NH35 in the watches are both running within COSC certified levels (less than +/- 6 secs/day). What more could I ask for?

It isn't possible to reduce the thickness of the 1692 to below 11.7mm, and make the flanks lower profile. This is due to the NH35A thickness; and also the thickness of the crystal, and case back in order to withstand 200 metres of pressure. I appreciate this 1733 is only rated to 100 metres, however the same case is used for other 1692 models as detailed with a 200 metre rating. To reduce the flanks one would need to use a lower profile movement such as the PT5000. The overall thickness of the watch could then be reduced to circa 11mm, with lower profile flanks as per the Oyster Perpetual 41. I would like to see Pagani Design use the PT5000 in the 1692 to reduce the thickness. The NH35A thickness is often a reason why 200 metre Chinese watches have thick cases, with slab sided flanks as per the Black Bay. Regards, #WR4K

I absolutely LOVE my "Centigauss," (the movement is ISO certified anti-magnetic at >85 Gauss, so I'm rounding up a bit) which is both one onehundredth of the magnetic resistance as well as costing one onehundredth of the price of a genuine Milgauss. But I cannot understand why they didn't polish the center links like the Rolex. Also, my lume is utterly TERRIBLE! I'm jealous of your example piece, mine is awful, the hands are invisible after 15-20 minutes.
The centre links look polished in the stock photos on the Pagani aliexpress website. I just ordered mine a few days ago and will report back when it arrives.

Honestly, I have a few watches in my collection with high beat Swiss movements. The difference is negligible to me
The PT5000 is a crapshoot IMO. I have seen great examples and bad ones (poor amplitude and high beat error). The NH 35 is essentially problem-free.

In terms of; QC, build quality, materials, finishing, movement; the Seamaster is higher level overall. The Oceanking is close to Tudor, and Omega level in QC, build quality, and finishing. However the materials, and movement aren't Seamaster level. The Marine Black has good build quality, however the finishing, and movement is a level below the Oceanking. Overall the Oceanking is a good compromise between the Marine Black, and Seamaster. One is getting a Tudor Black Bay quality watch at a lower price. It isn't Seamaster level quality, but then its much less expensive. Another watch worth considering is the Black Bay. The build quality, QC, finishing, are all close to Seamaster level. Also the Kenissi movement is COSC certified with 70 hours power reserve. The Oceanking is equal overall to a Black Bay; however I would choose the latter for even money. Reason being, if you ever did decide to sell it in the future; the Black Bay holds its value preowned versus the Oceanking. Regards, #WR4K

Although Trendy Men's Watch Store only offer "China" on their listing, in reality orders from within the EU are automatically shipped from their German warehouse via Liege in Belgium. For example, I ordered this one which was only available from China, but it actually came from Germany via Liege. The store carries stock in both China, and Germany. My milgauss actually does have sharp clasp corners, sharp enough to be painful if you catch your skin with them. Apart from that a great watch.

What are your thoughts on the quality and refinement of dial typography on chinese watches?
After being able to match swiss and japanese on build quality, should they be looking to improve on that, perhaps find a font that's playing in the same level as them and even exceed?
The Serified Garamond font used by Rolex is the perfect watch logo font. Often Chinese brands will use Arial which doesn't look as good. I designed my WR4K logo in 20 minutes while having breakfast one morning. I chose Arial in capitals with the red retangle to make it suitable for branding; my channel, polo shirts, leather watch rolls, and watch dials. Yes Chinese brands should improve their logos. Often the problem is when they translate a word from Mandarin to English it has a different meaning, and doesn't look or sound right on a watch dial as a brand. The other problem is many of the suitable brand names are already trademarked. 5 letter brand names work best; Rolex, Tudor, Omega, etc. Although WR4K is 4 letters, it works as it has meaning; Watch Reviews 4K, which was my original channel name. Pagani Design has made the correct decision deleting the text and just using the silver applied shield on new watches. Collectors know the shield is Pagani Design now. They have experienced an increase in sales since making the change so will continue using the shield. However its difficult for a brand to please the majority of collectors within the low-tier market. For example Liao Jiaming (San Martin owner) was considering changing from the cursive "San Martin" logo to the hex; but didn't know what the market preferred. So he made a video showing 4 different dial logo's; cursive, original "SAN MARTIN", printed hex, applied hex. The result was split 25% on each. This is the problem when one asks collectors for feedback on 4 options, 25% will choose 1 of each of the 4 options; rather than a majority 75% choosing the applied hex etc.
This is why San Martin uses both the applied hex, and printed hex, on some models.
It is better just to choose one logo, and not offer the collectors the choice.
This is why with my WR4K x Berny watch I just showed the design, and now the watch is being made the way I like it; not trying to satisfy 10 different requests from collectors. Regards, #WR4K.

@@YannickKhong It is good they deleted "UGS" and "PT Time" from the 1733 and 1692. The latter has no meaning, they just printed it on as they thought it looked good. I advised them to delete the aforementioned, and they agreed. However they won't delete "Sport" from the 1644, and 1664 models which also looks bad. Specification at 6 versus minimal text is subjective; some collectors like or dislike it. I prefer clean dials with less text as per the 1733. The 1692 is OK now "UGS" is deleted. Chinese brands generally make the changes after they see poor sale results of a V1, correcting it in the V2. They don't tend to take good advice before making the V1. For example I get to see V1 designs from some low-tier brands before they go into production; and make suggestions. However the brand often does what they want anyway; then learns the hard way when the V1 doesn't sell well. They corrected the 1733 deleting the "UGS" when they realised it would kill sales. Same applies to the "PT Time" on the 1692. In any case they would be better off just using Arial font for the 6 text, rather than abhorrent text as per "PT Time". Regards, #WR4K
Bought mine on your recommendation. One of the screws in the bracelet is sheared and.cannot get it out and there is no slot, so will have to drill it out. . Didn't come with the nato strap either,and the top of the watch looks wider than the bottom. Not sure if this is intentional. But other than my gripes and the QC issues.. it is a lovely watch. Nicer than watches I have for 4 times the price.

This one looks good. I bought one years ago that had sharp edges and overall looked like a ugly blob. They seem to be picking it up and also the price is going way up too. I’m just sayin. I have their moonwatch I like it I’m not a hater. We just need to remember these are way way way less expensive copys of iconic watches and have fun with them.
Thank you for watching. Agreed the prices have increased a lot, however the QC is gradually improving on some models like this 1733 which justifies it. The 1701 head is good, but the sharp edges on the bracelet let it down. Therefore difficult to justify the 144 Euro price point without a good bracelet. The problem is the QC varies on the same model, so it is the luck of the draw whether one gets a good or bad 1661 etc. I have reviewed some 1661's with excellent bezel action, and some with back play; so its hard to define if a model is excellent quality/value at the respective price point when the QC varies rather than being consistent. @@gmotionedc5412 1692. I am delighted with mine. The glossy enamel black dial is lovely. Also the AR coating works well. I have 6 pieces in my collection and find myself wearing it often, more than the others. The sunburst blue dial, and green crystal on the 1733 are nice; but I feel it just looks too much like a direct 1:1 clone of the Milgauss, too close for a homage. With the 1692 it has the previous no crown guards case, but the current 05 dial; so is a mix. Also it doesn't have any yellow on the dial so isn't a 1:1 clone, the way a homage should be. The 1733 is just to close to the original for my liking, even though it has brushed lugs, and centre links rather than polished as per the Milgauss. Regards, #WR4K
I bought two of this model and I have issues in both with the clasp. It's very hard to unlock it from the wrist i need to introduce a key to leverage force from the inside. Anyone having same problem? Also adjusting micro-sizes of the clasp also hard.

If you don't already own one, the best investment you can make for bracelet resizing and removal is to spend the $$$ on a propper Bergeon 6767F rather than other similar but much cheaper tools. It is a little finer than many others and seems to work better at getting into sometimes tight, difficult to get to areas of bracelets. Amazon has them, they ain't cheap but IMHO they are worth it (if you have a modest collection of watches). I guess the tight clasp will loosen up with use. Have you tried lifting it from the side, rather than getting your nails under the small depression in the clasp??? May help......or not.

It's got all the characteristics that I care about (nice to look at and keeps accurate time with a mechanical movement) for one-hundredth the price. I'm more than satisfied.
Just because these cheap Chinese watches say they’re 200m water resistant .. doesn’t mean they actually are. This is perhaps the crux of why you buy a Rolex, or an Omega over some cheap knockoff .. because you’re actually getting proper quality with the real thing. Don’t get me wrong .. I’m all for buying fun watches too .. I have more than a few Phylida’s in my collection .. but I take their spec with a huge bucket of salt.

I have this one. I have been diving with it in Greece recently. I dived mostly to 30~35 meters daily for 1 month, this watch has no problem underwater. To be honest, for regular people, no one is going to dive to 200m unless they are professional deep divers.

I mean I am sure you could but I just suspect that person is buying a more reliable name brand in that field and willing to pay the extra $$$. JMHO.

I hate ~most date windows because I hate that most luxury manufacturers will put a magnifier above it,

Personally I am not fucking blind, so I see no reason to not offer a non-magnifying sapphire option, but many beautiful watches have no such options, and it is a shame.
