Yeah, I take this to mean that the CD are beyond redemption.. pretty symbolic that they crucified one of the few, if not the only one among them, who was at least forgivable given his active efforts in holding the CDs to better standards and give people hope by his actions that they're not all horrible monsters. He may have done terrible things in the past too, but he died a good person and because of doing something noble.. RIP Mjosgard, the bravest among all these CDs.

So the Donquixote family started to see slavery as unnecessary. Or could simply because a random Donquixote before Homing became a good person out of random chance and they are a charismatic figure (a rare breed of Celestial Dragon) and their influence stretches to the newer generations of Donquixotes. You have to remember that 200 years ago, Fish Man Island was invited to the Levely for the first time in their history. Probably has something to do with Donquixote family.
I like this because it shows that if celestial dragon wants to change the world from inside the system, the system will turn on them. Dofla's dad was incredibly naive, but its nice to know there was no place on Marie Geois for them either way.
