This is literally the most well thought out, put together, easiest to learn guitar lesson I have ever come across. And that's coming from a person who usually just talks shit in comment sections. Wow, goodjob.
This was great, I been tryin to find out about "beginners acoustic guitar tabs" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yiyogan Strumming Stimulation - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my co-worker got excellent success with it.
just got a guitar for my birthday and i want to learn this song first because it was the first one taylor swift ever learned on guitar! i have a feeling i'll be watching lots more of your vids, thank u :))
Being new to guitar, I really appreciate the strumming patterns, finger placement visuals, and in depth breakdowns you do for each video. I continually find myself drawn to your tutorials over anyone else on RUclips. This is the first song I (almost) fully have down! Love your lessons- thank you!
You explain songs better than any other site I have seen, and I have looked at a lot. You pace it perfectly, the strumming diagrams incredibly helpful, as well as chord diagrams and chords to play that are highlighted in time with the music. Well done!
When you’re just listening to this song it sounds so easy to learn but holy crap this is insane. Very good brake down my man, this is put together really well
Lol me too. This song define my teenage years. If another guy heard me hear this I would be made fun of. But just trying to learn it I have mad respect for the song.
Kiss me out of the bearded barley Nightly beside the green, green grass Swing, swing, swing the spinning step You wear those shoes and I will wear that dress Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift your open hand Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance Silver moon's sparkling So, kiss me Kiss me down by the broken tree house Swing me upon its hanging tire Bring, bring, bring your flowered hat We'll take the trail marked on your father's map Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift your open hand Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance Silver moon's sparkling So, kiss me Kiss me beneath the milky twilight Lead me out on the moonlit floor Lift your open hand Strike up the band and make the fireflies dance Silver moon's sparkling So kiss me
My dad loves this song and gave me his old acoustic guitar from the 70s. I plan on being able to play this song for him on it because it’s one of his favorites ❤
You're my favorite guitarist youtuber I literally just got through your videos cause the way you explain how to play songs is easy to understand and follow compared to other videos I've watched
This the most comprehensive and accurate guitar lesson I’ve watched (and I’ve watched a bunch). You don’t waste time telling chord fingering but showed it. You included the count in addition to the up/down annotation - brilliant; very few other videos have even tried leading to confusion. Thanks. This was the first song I tried to teach myself and used sheet music to do so. This was much more helpful.
Extremely Well Done my friend!!! Still hanging in there lol, one day if NAMM ever comes to NY we have to get together for a few and dinner, my treat of course
Borrowed a guitar from a roommate. It's been 25 years since I started practicing on my own. Trying to pick the hold habit of strumming again for self healing. I guess It's time to continue learning this skill since music has always been my friend. Thanks for this. Truly appreciate it😘🤗.
Your guitar sounds really great! And you're such a skilled player. Sometimes when I see that a tutorial is by you I don't even try to watch it, because I'm sure I won't be able to play the way you teach. But I really admire the way you play. And I'll try this song. Thanks a lot! And all the best for you, man!
I really like the way you explain and especially all that additional information on the screan, it really helps a lot! I mean, I can see the chords and how they look like and the pattern, so it is like I aready can play while still watching the video and I do mean it! Mainly it takes a lot of time to understand the concept and the chords.... So thank you! :)
I know this is an old video but I felt compelled to leave my opinion. This is all round a great tutorial. Though I would recommend 2 changes. 1. I think you should refer to the strings by their names rather than assigning them a number (E A D G B E). 2. Instead of just teaching the strumming as Down or up, you should refer to it in bar form. Eg (1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and, for a 1/8 strumming. Or 1EAnD 2EAnD 3EAnD 4EAnD for 1/16 strumming like in this song).
idk why(probably because ive only heard the song 5 times) but i was having trouble figuring out where to come in with the lyrics, like which part of the strumming pattern kicks off the next line and this was super helpful. thank you
thanks for the breakdown of the solo and the rhythm pattern. been playing this song for a couple of months now and couldn't get it right. Spot on now though!
This is by far the most well-explained guitar tutorial I've seen yet, defo subscribing! And if anyone's in doubt of getting a capo, DO IT! It only cost me £6 and it's not a cheat way of playing chords like ignorant-total-beginner me used to think - it opens you up to a whole new way of playing and a bigger variety of songs :)
Awesome tutorial. I love that you get right to it, and don't waste a lot of time talking about song history and such. I am totally subscribing to your channel.
Wow....so thorough....I find your notes *most* accurate....it always sounds so clean....even more accurate than some of the tabs on ultimate guitar. I now realize I was playing some wrong chords on the chorus. I've been playing this with capo on 1st fret for years...but your style is far superior.
Wow… I mean I’ve always wanted to play that song in the 90’s and I’ve never found a good web page to learn it, but thank to this AMAZING TEACHER I’m capable to play not only this one but all the songs that you have in your website 😍😍😍😍😍😍 and for free!! I mean , isn’t perfect!?? I’m so excited!! Thank you VERY much, really 🙏
thank you so much for this! up till now I’d been learning d-dmaj7-d7-dmaj7 with the capo on the first fret. this sounds much fuller & easier to play, plus i love the layout of your videos
I'm going to learn this to sing to my.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... self :')
Thanks for the tutorial. I really wish you make picking tutorial Better Half of Me - Tom Walker. I want to sing it for my crush but I've just started learn to play guitar.
Awesome tutorial thankyou. I've been playing this song wrong for years ! That little solo is so simple yet such a headf##k too ! I had it. Went out for a bit, came back and couldn't do it again for ages!

Don’t overconcern too much on the uptown , let that comes naturally
A song that never gets boring. This and There She Goes.
both little masterpieces

This is old school song, thumbs up Dave! Can you please do Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits?
Definitely second that. That would be awesome with Dave’s method. Wanted to learn that one for many years
The song is nuts hard, but Dave is so good teacher that I'm sure we'll all get it :)
Dave is a professional guitarist himself of course he knows how to play.. but its hard for him to teach us the easy way
@@metallicafever888 I don't know if Dave can play it!
I was playing this totally wrong. Can't wait to try your lesson out.
