My concern is the Wind! How does it stand against the gusts of wind? I would be afraid that it would topple over. Do you have data on how it rates in windy areas of our country?
Finally, a tiny house with a bedroom that is not a loft. Exactly what would keep me from living in a tiny home is the headroom in the bedroom. No way am I gonna climb up stairs & not be able to stand up. So bad for the back. I love this idea. So ingenious Love it.
Ist of all,, I'm amazed that it can be taken apart to fit in a small area or lot. The planners did an excellent Job of planning it out Also being able to standup in the loft. Wow.. I would probably modify the Kitchen for my personal needs. Overall I really liked it.
This is by far the best design from the bathroom, to the bedroom, to the second floor, to the kitchen, to the balcony. Wow! It looks amazing all around.
WOW your tiny home is truly amazing. The BEST I have seen. I wish you had a branch of your family company in Australia. We have a housing crises here too and most Aussies are very concious of addressing the problem. Many, many people don't wants to be burdened with ridiculously high mortgages and the tiny home movement is growing very fast. Thankyou for your video and I know with all your research and innovation you will do so, so well and help many people live happier lives. Truly remarkable. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
While that particular layout isn't for me (the kitchen is a bit claustrophobic for me) the idea and implications could be huge going forward. Expect great things from these two!
Thanks for seeing the potential in our vision! Yes, the layout and size is not for everyone. This particular model is great for travel and small lot sizes/developments. Larger models may suit some people better. We will offer larger sizes when we expand our product line. I think most videos makes the space (especially the kitchen) feel smaller than it really is. Most people who tour the home in person comment on how spacious it is!
Instead of going vertical, have one going horizontal. There are designs that opens up the left and right sides and then you'll have triple the floor area.
@@WilderwiseHomes Nice. I have a design proposal for you. 4X the floor area. Just like your design, you lift the 2nd floor structure up, then the 1st floor opens the left and right sides. Also, would there be a possibility to have a door on the 2nd floor leading to the outside? (If not, maybe an outside ladder) It'll be like having a balcony or two. Possibly attaching some railings preventing accidental falling. Or you can even put solar panels up there.
I’d definitely need a bigger sink, a window over the sink and an exhaust fan, but everything else is radically awesome, clever, innovative and cutting edge design in Tiny Houses! Makes you wonder what other brilliant new design ideas will come out in the next few years!!
Yes!! A bigger sink is a must in a kitchen that you intend to actually cook in. Also, as a person with allergies, a vent is a MUST over a stove top. I also question the oven they've included. Did they think of a microwave convection oven? The rest of the place is pretty great and the price is actually not that bad.
I've been looking at a lot of tiny house tours. And that loft is brutal on most of those houses. I knew the issue was the height that is the limit for traveling, and I actually had the idea there's got to be a way to lower and prop up the roof. I'm so excited that someone's already figured it out and has technology to make that happen.
That's a sweet business Arya and her family started. I wish them well since we need more housing providers like them. The tiny house they showed is very modular and livable.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! They are about everything I believe in. I don't necessarily want to go small but my daughter does one day. I am addicted to watching tiny home videos though 🤣. I've always believed that tiny homes could be an option for the homeless, college students, an in law suite, adult children who aren't quite ready to leave but need their own space, the list goes on. (can you tell I have given this ALOT of thought? 🤭) This is AMAZING!
If we could get one with an additional 10 feet of length, I feel like it's be the perfect tiny home. Rarely am I impressed with a tiny house, but this one blew my socks off!
I have a disability, and this is the first idea for a -transportable- Tiny Home that I have found with a usable upstairs for me. This completely changes the game in Accessibility if we really mean Tiny Homes to be about affordable housing- which is a big deal across the diverse disability community. I’m EXTREMELY excited to see Wilderwise go into mass production/customer delivery (because the whole concept and the ethos of the company/family model seems to be a great combination for a spot in this business. I also hope for success with the Wilderwise models, because I think they will get out in the public, do well, because appreciated and sought after, and hopefully that will increase funding so that this very innovative woman, her partner, family, and co. Can offer personal disability customizations on their models - or just increased foot-print accessibility etc. as I truly feel this company has the innovation and style to present affordable housing to a wide range of communities- including one that is very difficult to reach in this industry
3 words...Iove this home. I watched several times. Ive been researching tiny homes for over 5 yrs. I wouldn't change anything..maybe add a tub..lol....Genius thinking....so proud that you are thinking of California high cost of property & affordable housing. A+. Hope to see you in future.
I saw a tiny with a lift, but the expansion walls were interior, leaving much opportunity for leaks. Love that this one slides on the exterior. Technology and engineering continue to improve. I’m definitely interested to see this company continue to grow and innovate. Loved the smart meter they mentioned…I’d be interested in that when I find property.
We've seen a design like this too... not sure how leaks would be managed with the roof lifting on the inside. Stay tuned for new developments. Thanks for following our journey!
LOVE the aluminum construction. No rot! Having been a big vintage trailer fan, I know what happens over time, even with the best of care. And this is a house--it's not going to be garaged!
I am absolutely sure that they can change various components like a larger sink or an exhaust fan to meet individual needs. I think it’s a great idea personally
Love how you can fit in two twin beds upstairs for kids and them you can have a sofa bed downstairs so its kid friendly and you can stand everywhere without having to crouch inside your bedroom area. Also great uplifting idea. Beautifully done. Lots of storage and kid friendly
Wow!! Ive been following the tiny home movement for a long time now and must say the idea of a lifting ceiling was something Id always thought to be super...and here Wilderwise has DONE IT!! Id make my own personal changes of course if ordering a build but has an excellent use of space. Id build out the living room entrance with a flip out or add-on external mini porch🤷🏼♀️. Im also interested in solar panels and rainwater harvesting. I live in Italy, but may be moving back to California to be close to family again so as an ADU on my Dad's property and with the modular concept, well, it's an absolutely winning engineering plus!! My compliments to WW...a real WinWin situation for both parties! Thank you for the inspiration...now off to dreaming for the future! K
This is a BRILLIANT addition to the tiny design collection! I absolutely love the versatility this design offers. From the lighter weight aluminum framing, to the break-down of each module, allowing it to fit thru the common 5 ft. easements of many residential city lots! Amazing foresight. Woman after my own heart! I LOVE convertible, multi-use design features. And to have it built into a tiny house on wheels is a real GAME CHANGER! Sure, it's not especially cozy looking, but perhaps buyers can customize those aspects of the design, and make it fit their particular, more homey design preferences. All the other major benefits offered here, including the abundance of storage, provide a foundation from which to refine and customize to one's own tastes. Bravo for this great concept! I don't know if I could ever afford this, but I'm saving it in my 'Best Design Ideas' folder, for possible builders for my own, hoped-for, tiny home. Thanks to all involved in this innovative creation! 🌞☮🌟
Thank you so much! You get it - definitely a game changer for so many reasons! We have been living in the home and it's very cozy to us, but of course, thats a matter of personal preference. Customizations are welcome. Again, thank you for the kind words!
I hope your business flourishes. I may talk to you in the future. My husband is 6ft 6in this is a big reason why we haven't bothered looking at a tiny house. I love this idea.
This is the third tiny home I have seen with an adjustable roof. I would rate this one the best out of the three. This is definitely a company to keep an eye on.
Thank you! Glad you like our design. It is intended to be very user friendly, efficient, and operated frequently. We are already making improvements to it. Thanks for following our journey :)
Genuis, and look forward to viewing this Tiny home during one of the tours and meeting you and the team. Excited to learn more, and of opportunities to contribute to the cause.
This is probably one of the most amazing well thought out tiny homes. Sounds like they're working on all the details to make this really work for people. Love it!!!!
Amazed by the idea of the platform that will help landowners and tinyhome owners find each other. This will help making the decision of going tiny easier. She's an absolute genius👍🏼
In 1956 the "Hi-Lo" travel trailer was introduced. It could be towed low, then raise the top portion to have standup ceiling room. They discontinued manufacturing in 2010. Much better than most "pop-up" campers with canvas walls.
I’d be a little concerned about the “lightweight” aspect. It’s a beautiful home, but being from the South, I worry about it withstanding weather, such as high winds, etc. I worry about it leaking from where the top expands. Can you use the loft without it being expanded? It’s definitely adorable.💗
We’ve experienced 50mph+ crosswinds with no issue. This is with the roof raised and without any tie downs. We haven’t had an opportunity to test it in higher winds yet. If you are concerned about highly destructive storm winds, there are several steps you can take: 1. Use stakes and tie downs to secure the home to the ground. There are multiple lashing points along the trailer and frame. 2. Lower the roof for the storm. This will decrease the height by 3.5 ft. 3. If you have the chance to, the home can be towed to a safer location for the duration of the storm! Here are some other safety considerations regarding wind: -More than 70% of the weight of the home is in the bottom half, with the majority being in or directly on top of the trailer. Since it is bottom heavy, it is much less likely to be affected by wind. -Yes, our home is lightweight compared to other tiny homes, but it still weighs 9,000 lb and can be loaded up to 14K lb with solar panels, personal belongings, water, etc. We use several custom-designed seals to fill the gap between the upper and lower walls. These seals prevent air flow, as well as particulates from entering the home! We have not noticed any draftiness so far. The upstairs area is not very usable with the roof lowered since the space gets filled with the lower cabinets that move out of the way for travel. The bed can be accessed and slept in, but it is quite tight!
I'm not sure why you'd want to buy an expanding Loft home and not use the expanding Loft. That being said if you watch the video when they lower the roof in The Loft you can see that there's absolutely no windows to look out of with it lowered, if you want into the design why would you not just buy a different one that doesn't have that design?
Absolutely brilliant! Everywhere needs affordable housing, not just the western states so definitely making this showing available to the world. Beautiful marketing! Would love to see the additional add-ons y'all come up with as your idea just kissed my imagination! Your brilliant doll.
Thank you for your kind words! We'd love for these to be available across the country. The western states have just made bigger strides in changing laws to make tiny living legal and available. Stay tuned for more innovations! So happy your imagination is now running wild(erwise)!
I’m old. I’d like the whole thing designed to extend horizontally instead. There’s no having to go up and down stairs at 2a for this gal! But great idea. I had a tent trailer made of aluminum. Very easy to work with as long as you did it properly.
@@WilderwiseHomes welp, I just replied ‘Slideouts’, but immediately saw where ya beat me to it! Fantastic ideas, great execution. I love the entire THOW. I have land, but an old home that’s no longer habitable & cost of repairs would buy 2 new Tiny Homes. You need to plan a tour to North Carolina. We are tiny home friendly & communities have been developed around them already. Not sure myself yet about community living (Too much a rebel for HOAs🤣), It is STILL perfect solution for someone like me - single/widowed and wanting to still stay on my property. Heck, 12 acres can hold a few Tiny Homes- maybe to showcase? 🤔Please hurry, this 1998 Class A - intended as a temp solution - is really getting old!
Funny, I have seen many tiny home videos with lofts and have often wondered why not an expandable (raised) loft? And then, this video...OMG! Wish I could invest, b/c I believe this company will truly soar in the tiny home market.
We really appreciate the design of your tiny house. The price is extremely high for low income needs. I hope that in the future your company is able to drop the price down to start at least to 50,000 for an even smaller sized tiny house 8 1/2 w by 15long ,same extension height tall!! I would definitely buy that!!
Love the telescoping roof and the modular/ almost "flat-pack" aspect. The kitchen space does seem to be a bit constricted, but I'm sure that could be rearranged/reconfigured to some degree. My concern is the durability of the aluminum, and the lifetime of the actuator/lifting mechanism.
Glad you love our concept. There are definitely some improvements we are working on. The kitchen is actually much more spacious in person than it appears in this video but changes could still be made! Aluminum is a very durable metal - it doesn't rust like steel does and is used to build airplanes! Our founding engineer (RIP) helped design the Boeing 737. The actuator has a 20+ year lifespan and is designed for multiple cycles per day. The gas springs are designed for 50K-100K cycles in their lifetime. No customer will ever lift and lower the roof that many times so we are confident in the mechanics!
Wonder how maintenance could be done if there is an issue. Also how various environments would affect (ex. Salt water, high humidity, desert, etc). Plus how would natural disasters like tornadoes/ earthquakes affect the 2nd floor. Really cool design though and makes me think about all sorts of possibilities
@@lel7841 We will have our own maintenance team and will be working with local contractors that will have knowledge of the system. That way, you will have no issue in finding help if anything needs to be fixed. We don't imagine that various climates would have an impact on the roof lifting system, since all of the components are protected inside the home. Higher magnitude earthquakes could be an issue, especially if they are damaging other property (but this is a given). You can protect against hurricanes/tornadoes/high winds by taking the following steps: 1. We have experienced 50mph+ winds with no issue so far!
I love your vision how much detail you have put into this. Your house is super cool too I love the modification options. Slide outs to bring it to 12, at least feet, and a greenhouse would make it pretty perfect oh, roof top deck. I'd love to see more on lifting the sidewall.
Thank you! I appreciate your suggestions and feedback. We are designing modular slide-outs that can be incorporated into the home. We are happy to take customization requests!
Absolutely brilliant design! I've seen a few TH with standing loft height. Most popular is on a step up trailer, bedroom is mid level with a few steps up. Another has standing space along the bed side. Space is gained by lowering part of the ceiling below. Others had DIY extensions like an expandable RV. The light weight aluminum frame will enable owners to relocate themselves & save fees. A modular system that can be reconfigured like legos will overcome many limitations. The insight of your TH desgn aligns with Tesla's automated driving vehicles. It's pure genius! Thank you for sharing! Wishing you success & abundant Blessings!
OMG. I wish I had known about the show. I would love to see it in person. It is amazing. I can't wait to eventually have my own tiny home for me and my kids.
This model has a very nice mechanism. I love how the roof expand in order to give space for comfort despite living in the tiny house. Perfect for a place I got in AZ
nice design, i came up with something similar in my head. the actuators are nice but seeing them exposed is a concern, same with the controls, too easy to brush by accident. also a failure with the actuators could be a catastrophe if they are all that is holding the roof up. big liability there.. my design i came up with uses a car jack to lift the roof which is then bolted into place to secure the load. also if your doing a raising roof why not expanding walls! go big or go home! great design i love the innovations :)
Thank you! The actuator and gas springs will be enclosed for customer models. It is nice to have them exposed in the show model so people can see how the system works. The control knob is exposed but the actuator has to be plugged in manually before each use. It is never plugged in when we are living in the home so there is no risk of brushing the knob and activating the system! The actuator has a 20+ year lifespan and is designed for multiple cycles per day. Gas springs are designed for 50K-100K cycles in their lifetime. No customer will ever lift and lower the roof that many times so we are confident in the mechanics. There are also multiple fail safes such as lock pins, the lower cabinets, and the option to include additional stabilizing bars around the edges when parked. We have plans to incorporate modular slide-outs! These are in the design phase and will be available as an option likely next year. Since they are modular, they can be purchased after-the-fact and installed on any model!
Wow , a beautiful home for under 100,000. This is what the tiny house industry has been waiting for, a way to enjoy the loft. Indeed, now an opportunity for a second floor. I would stylized the roof a little more aerodynamically. Great job! Everything a full house has and more. The ability to have choices in life.
Looks good for travelling and seeing the country. When you want a permanent spot I think your tiny could have a bigger footprint. It would be great if the width was increased by two feet and there was a closet in the entry. The kitchen sink should be larger and the cupboards over- head could be replaced by shelving to give a roomier feel. I think you have a great idea with your raised roof!
Thank you, glad you love the concept! Yes, if you plan to park permanently and have the space for it, a longer trailer would be worthwhile. However, some smaller lots may not be able to accommodate a larger footprint, which is where this model has its greatest benefits. We will eventually offer larger sizes (width and length) as well! Adding a larger sink and changing the cabinetry are simple changes that we can incorporate upon request.
A lot of potential here for sure & I could see them doing different models with different layouts and designs as well. For me personally, I would like a trailer that is a little bit longer just for more space and comfort, but this is a good and unique starting point. Great job!
That is awesome. They took the slide out technology and made slide Up technology, so people don't have to crawl around the loft, and can actually stand up, and you don't have to have your mattress on the floor and have a frame for it. It looks so modern and love it. I don't mind upstairs with stairs versus a ladder, and you don't have to crawl around.
I love this and I am a big fan of modularity. With that in mind, how does it handle in snow, ie, weight on the roof with the actuators, is it well insulated against cold, is there air bleed from the split on the second floor, will there different length trailers in the future?
@@karynbenson6318 That was exactly my thought...there is a company here in Australia that makes modular transportable expandable studio homes...but I could not imagine sleeping in one during a storm!
Thank you! We've determined that to operate the roof up/down, there can be a maximum of 6 PSF of snow on the roof. However, we are still working out the final numbers for in its lifted position (which is more relevant for common use). With the lower cabinets, caps on the gas springs, and option for additional beams to be placed when lifted, our goal is to have a snow load capacity of 30-40 PSF. This model has an average of R-24 in insulation and we can add additional insulation if you plan to be in more extreme climates. We will be incorporating vents/fans in the 1st floor ceiling to better transfer air between both levels and will have the option to incorporate a second mini-split upstairs. Yes, there will be different trailer lengths available in the future!
@@karynbenson6318We’ve experienced crosswinds while parked of 50mph+ with no issue. This is with the roof raised and without any tie downs. We waited in line to see the tiny house in Jan during the Tiny House Show in PHX, AZ! I thought it was a beautiful home. It was very space conscious and the layout was delightful! I was especially impressed by the way the second story was able to be compacted. I love the idea of non-stationary furniture to help accomplish this as well. As a clutterbug, it also would force me to keep a tidier area 😂
I think specific couples/families may want a larger kitchen space rather than living room space …I’d def need a little more space for the kitchen area…and maybe a window at the sink but wow ..just wow! The idea behind it ALL is astounding! I’m impressed!
Love the second floor!! May your company grow substantially. There are just too many applications for tiny homes and now especially with the awesome addition of all the extra space you offer.
Ty for adapting the concept of a lifting roof to tiny home. Ty for starting the process of Airbnb smart technology for those who need to relocate easier. My hope is secure connection internet would be available for remote working who need this as well.
This is the towable tiny house I've been waiting for! It has room for an entire family and it's relatively lightweight, with all of the comforts of home. You could really take a full-summer trip in this house and be comfortable. Compared to a standard towable trailer, it's head and shoulders above the other options out there.
beautiful design. The fact that the roof raises to allow extra space in the top is amazing. I wish this was a little more spacious. The entrance looks smaller compared to some of the other tiny homes I have seen.
This tiny home is only 21 feet long, which is smaller than many you've probably seen. It is also only 8 ft wide at the bottom since the moving roof section is 8.5 ft (widest for freeway travel without permits). The model feels more spacious in person than in this video. Longer models will be even more spacious!
#1 AMAZING! You have really taken potential tiny home owners concerns and listened to their needs. #2 Would you be able to make this unit in a 10 foot wide version. Everything I have heard is that is the standard deck width allowing for much easier transportation due to the chassis size. #3 Can you customize any of the cabinets. I noticed both of you having your foreheads practically on the cupboards when cooking. I would like to see higher/cutout cabinets and a outside vented range hood and more prep surface area as the trade off. #4 That low hanging actuator control unit would have to go. I can see concussions in my future LOL!! Any chance of making that more streamlined? #5 Looking for any sales people/tradesman? Love it!!!
Thank you! We do have plans to build a 10 ft wide model in the future, but the wider version would not necessarily be easier to transport. Anything wider than 8.5 ft wide requires a wide load permit, so it would not be something you'd be taking with you like an RV. Typically, 10 ft wide models are transported to their location and kept there permanently. Yes, the cabinets can be customized to a certain extent! We've been living in the home and never felt like the kitchen was cramped. I do see now that the video makes it look like our foreheads are almost hitting the cabinets, but it has never felt that way in person. In any case, they can be modified to be higher and with a range hood. The actuator box has 6 ft of headroom below it. This is the simplest and most inexpensive way to design the lifting roof system. Other designs are possible but require more motors, which add to weight and cost. Anything is possible though! We'll keep improving the system over time. Yes, we will be hiring this year! Send an email to arya@wilderwise.com if you want to talk more!
Just saw this one at the Colorado tiny house festival this weekend that WE WERE IN! Our first show showing off our van. Missed you guys. This house was super rad in the idea of how it’s expandable in the same footprint. We also went and played disc golf with Lawrence and Arya!
P.S....in the extended living room wall Id place a small pellet/wood burning fireplace/heater. Id reduce the size of the second extra upstairs room and use railing open to below giving living room high ceiling effect....already thinking about you as my future builder🤔😊👍
Love the concept from the outside. My concern is the claustrophobic interior. It’s got that whole corridor effect going on. That piece that juts out in a major thoroughfare will be a hazard for head injuries over time. Exciting to see this type of innovation - great work in pushing the limits 👌
In all honesty, it does not feel claustrophobic in person. I think the wide angle lens used for this video has that effect. The actuator box has 6 ft of headroom underneath it. We have options to redesign the system, but other iterations would add weight and cost to the build. There's always a possibility though and we are committed to improving the design over time!
Wow what a great idea. I really like the rails for going up the stairs. Smart using the Aluminum. Rats missed the Phoenix show. Have to look forward to next time.

Thank you for the kind words!
This is AMAZING!
Thank you so much! And yes, there are many amazing applications for this kind of home :)
Thanks so much! Agreed on all points. We are excited for what the future holds :)
3 words...Iove this home. I watched several times. Ive been researching tiny homes for over 5 yrs. I wouldn't change anything..maybe add a tub..lol....Genius thinking....so proud that you are thinking of California high cost of property & affordable housing. A+. Hope to see you in future.
💕
I saw a tiny with a lift, but the expansion walls were interior, leaving much opportunity for leaks. Love that this one slides on the exterior. Technology and engineering continue to improve. I’m definitely interested to see this company continue to grow and innovate. Loved the smart meter they mentioned…I’d be interested in that when I find property.
We've seen a design like this too... not sure how leaks would be managed with the roof lifting on the inside. Stay tuned for new developments. Thanks for following our journey!
I'm Proud of YOU
Congratulations can't wait to get mine
Thanks! We can't wait to build yours! :)
Never been too a tiny home show. How neat.
Most creative tiny house I've ever seen. I might be looking at something like this for myself.
Brilliant design, btw! And connecting land and tiny owners IS FABULOUS!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
What a beautiful, inspirational and compassionate couple. Great home, intelligent design.
They really are great people! So refreshing to see how much they care about what they’re creating 😊✨
Thank you so much!!
Absolutely!
@Tiny House Expedition yay! Cos I'm wondering if you'll be anywhere near Sacramento anytime soon???
@@jaceebrynne49 We plan to be at TinyFest in San Jose in September!
Every week I look forward to your amazing tiny home stories. Thank you for giving your viewers such fun adventures !
We greatly appreciate your continued support! Every day we grateful for the ability to do what we love ☺️✨
Glad you liked our video! Tiny House Expedition surely does a great job of storytelling.
Love how you can fit in two twin beds upstairs for kids and them you can have a sofa bed downstairs so its kid friendly and you can stand everywhere without having to crouch inside your bedroom area. Also great uplifting idea. Beautifully done. Lots of storage and kid friendly
Yes, absolutely! Thank you for the kind words.
Just brilliant thanks to your tiny house ppl will have a home. I'm a fan.
Wow 👏 great ideas 💡and great job 👍 I love 💘 the story and family business dream . I'm 61 and a retired coal miner living in my 25 foot camper .
Thank you so much!
This is high key perfect for me. I wanna travel while in my grad program.
Wonderful transportable home, even better hosts/creators! Very thorough explanations and details. Thanks for posting Tiny House Expedition!
Happy to share! 🥰
Thank you so much!
I hope your business flourishes. I may talk to you in the future. My husband is 6ft 6in this is a big reason why we haven't bothered looking at a tiny house. I love this idea.
The ability to be able to dismantle to maneuver limited spaces is AMAZING!!!
It has taken so many engineering hours to make it possible, but it will be worth it. Thank you!
Great design ,wish you luck with your bussiness!
Love it!!!!
Their prototype process to continue to refine & problem solve is exciting!
Thank you - so glad you love it!
Amazing tiny house especially it coming apart! Best of luck in your time showing it to the world!
Thanks so much!
Amazed by the idea of the platform that will help landowners and tinyhome owners find each other. This will help making the decision of going tiny easier. She's an absolute genius👍🏼
Thank you so much! :)
So freak'n cool!!! Amazing, creative job from design finishes to the inner workings...coolest tiny home yet. Good luck in the future.
Creative thinkers & super nice folks too! Thanks for watching Debra 😊
Thank you so much!
I'm from Virginia and been thinking about this since 2016
In 1956 the "Hi-Lo" travel trailer was introduced. It could be towed low, then raise the top portion to have standup ceiling room. They discontinued manufacturing in 2010. Much better than most "pop-up" campers with canvas walls.
Yes,my husband(rip)was a contractor & tried to explain this concept to my nephew he said no-way,cool nice job, beautiful place
Thank you!
If you are concerned about highly destructive storm winds, there are several steps you can take:
1. Use stakes and tie downs to secure the home to the ground. There are multiple lashing points along the trailer and frame.
2. Lower the roof for the storm. This will decrease the height by 3.5 ft.
3. If you have the chance to, the home can be towed to a safer location for the duration of the storm!
Here are some other safety considerations regarding wind:
-More than 70% of the weight of the home is in the bottom half, with the majority being in or directly on top of the trailer.
@@WilderwiseHomes I think the roof being able to lower itself in the case of a storm is amazing. This is such a freaking cool design!!!
@@pjlove367 Thank you!!
You realize that conventional homes have issues in really high winds too, right? ;)
Fantastic! I love the lifting ceiling. Now we need to get some laws changed to accommodate these wonderful homes.
So true! We are part of the Tiny Home Industry Association advocating for law changes; consider joining us 😊 tinyhomeindustryassociation.org
Thank you, glad you like it! And we fully agree - THIA is doing a great job of advocating for change!
I love this....a bedroom I can stand in.
Amazing, right!?
My thoughts as well..No stairs for this grandma 😉
We are developing both slide outs to extend horizontally, as well as an elevator lift to bring you to the upper level! Thank you for your feedback.
@@WilderwiseHomes Told you lol.
I’m thinking RV type slide-out options for those like us where stairs are less practice these days.
Thanks for featuring this awesome tiny home!!! This is tiny is brilliant! I'll be watching for it at a festival in 2022
So happy to share Pam! Thanks for watching 💕

FINALLY!!! Someone who gets it!! Providing an obvious, much needed solution. Cudos to you! 💪💪🙌
Thank you! Glad you love it! It's been many years in the making.
Funny, I have seen many tiny home videos with lofts and have often wondered why not an expandable (raised) loft? And then, this video...OMG! Wish I could invest, b/c I believe this company will truly soar in the tiny home market.
Thanks so much!
Most perfect tiny house ever! All I'd add is bookshelves & one of the micro wall hanging wood stoves.
Thank you, glad you love it! We are happy to take customization requests.
This is incredible!! I'm absolutely gobsmacked!! 💖❤️🚙🇨🇦
Thank you!!
We really appreciate the design of your tiny house. The price is extremely high for low income needs. I hope that in the future your company is able to drop the price down to start at least to 50,000 for an even smaller sized tiny house 8 1/2 w by 15long ,same extension height tall!! I would definitely buy that!!
Glad you like the design! We have plans to eventually create smaller/lower cost models. Stay tuned :)
You can protect against hurricanes/tornadoes/high winds by taking the following steps:
1. Use stakes and tie downs to secure the home to the ground. There are multiple lashing points along the trailer and frame.
2. Lower the roof for the storm. This will decrease the height by 3.5 ft.
3. If you have the chance to, the home can be towed to a safer location for the duration of the storm!
Arya's father seems so sweet!! :))
He is the best - One of the sweetest and most hard working people we know!
I love, love, LOVE that it's modular.
Thank you! Modularity can solve so many problems.
Great insights! ☺️✨
Agreed - great insights! Thank you for your fine attention to detail and your kind words. Much appreciated!

This is a wonderful idea, well done all!
This model has a very nice mechanism. I love how the roof expand in order to give space for comfort despite living in the tiny house. Perfect for a place I got in AZ
Glad you love it! :)
I love this tiny, everything about it. I could totally live in a house like this.
Thank you, glad you love it. Let us know if you want us to build you one!
What a major break through this design is!!! May you go over successfully in your WilderWise brand of "tiny living".ABC/Tx
Thank you so much!
nice design, i came up with something similar in my head. the actuators are nice but seeing them exposed is a concern, same with the controls, too easy to brush by accident. also a failure with the actuators could be a catastrophe if they are all that is holding the roof up. big liability there.. my design i came up with uses a car jack to lift the roof which is then bolted into place to secure the load. also if your doing a raising roof why not expanding walls! go big or go home! great design i love the innovations :)
Like the way you think! We thinks they plan to cover up the mechanics more in the next iteration of this design 😊✨🍻
Thanks so much - glad you like it! We will be constantly improving the design as time goes on. Model #2 already has lots of upgrades!
Looks good for travelling and seeing
the country. When you want a permanent
spot I think your tiny could have a bigger
footprint. It would be great if the width
was increased by two feet and there was
a closet in the entry. The kitchen sink
should be larger and the cupboards over-
head could be replaced by shelving to
give a roomier feel. I think you have a
great idea with your raised roof!
Fabulous! What a smart idea, with all the tech, and Engineering, and just beautiful. I am impressed. Thank you.
Much appreciated! Glad you like it :)
Love this invention...and lay out..brilliant idea xx
Thanks so much!
A lot of potential here for sure & I could see them doing different models with different layouts and designs as well. For me personally, I would like a trailer that is a little bit longer just for more space and comfort, but this is a good and unique starting point. Great job!
Thanks! New models coming in the future :)
Such a luxury to stand in a tiny house bedroom!
@@TinyHouseExpedition, it is such a luxury to stand up in a loft in a Tiny House.
Glad you love what we are doing! We agree that it is a much needed innovation in tiny house design.
Truly one of the best designs
Thank you so much! It's been several years in the making.
I love this and I am a big fan of modularity. With that in mind, how does it handle in snow, ie, weight on the roof with the actuators, is it well insulated against cold, is there air bleed from the split on the second floor, will there different length trailers in the future?
I would be interested to see how it handles high winds.
Yikes. The high winds we get in NC would be a no go for this design.
We haven’t had an opportunity to test it in higher winds yet. If you are concerned about highly destructive storm winds, there are several steps you can take:

Awesome!! So much room upstairs. It’s perfect!! I love it.
The upstairs is so spacious! We love hanging out up there. The views are pretty great too. Thanks, glad you love it!
What a brilliant idea!! Love it.
So glad you were able to see the home in person and thought the line was worth the wait! :)
Now this is impressive! The thought and engineering is truly spectacular! Kudos to Wilderwise family!
Thank you so much!
I think specific couples/families may want a larger kitchen space rather than living room space …I’d def need a little more space for the kitchen area…and maybe a window at the sink but wow ..just wow! The idea behind it ALL is astounding! I’m impressed!
We will eventually have options with different floor plans and larger kitchens. A window can definitely be added! Thank you for the kind words :)
I LOVE THE FAMILY 🤍 your guys are such a cool family! I love this, I hope you come to Washington for a show
We hope to make it up to Washington next year! It is such a beautiful state. And thank you for the kind words. We love working with family :)
This is by far the best tiny house I have seen ! I love the height of this tiny house. Brilliant design !
Thank you so much!
Love the second floor!! May your company grow substantially. There are just too many applications for tiny homes and now especially with the awesome addition of all the extra space you offer.
Thanks for the kind words and well wishes. Glad you love our design!
Brilliant. Yes. This is an amazing idea. The small lifts have been my disappointment in past. And this solves that. Great job.
Thank you so much! Glad you love what we are doing.
Ty for adapting the concept of a lifting roof to tiny home. Ty for starting the process of Airbnb smart technology for those who need to relocate easier. My hope is secure connection internet would be available for remote working who need this as well.
❤️ and yes internet as a great searchable feature on their future app!
You're welcome! And thank you for appreciating what we are doing :)
Really like the upper space !!!
Thank you! The upstairs is our favorite place to hang out in the house!
This is the towable tiny house I've been waiting for! It has room for an entire family and it's relatively lightweight, with all of the comforts of home. You could really take a full-summer trip in this house and be comfortable. Compared to a standard towable trailer, it's head and shoulders above the other options out there.
Thank you so much! We agree! We think this is the perfect hybrid between a towable RV and comfortable tiny house.
This is so exciting. I’m so impressed with what Arya and her family have done. I look forward to seeing further developments.
Thanks for watching Reese! ☺️
Thank you so much!
beautiful design.
We had a blast hanging out with you two! Can't wait until we meet again on the road.
P.S....in the extended living room wall Id place a small pellet/wood burning fireplace/heater. Id reduce the size of the second extra upstairs room and use railing open to below giving living room high ceiling effect....already thinking about you as my future builder🤔😊👍
Interesting ideas! Send us a message when you are ready to start building!
Brilliant, love the design!!!
Thank you so much!
PLEASE come to Texas also!!!! I LOVE this idea and I am sooo happy for all 3 of you. Wishing you 3 much success & a smooth tour.....YAY WILDERWISE!
Thank you!! Hopefully we'll make it to Texas next year!
Wow what a great idea. I really like the rails for going up the stairs. Smart using the
Aluminum. Rats missed the Phoenix show.
Have to look forward to next time.
