In 2006, Mitchell and Margo Blutt generously established an annual symposium in songwriting at the Kelly Writers House. The purpose was clear-to bring eminent and lauded songwriters into the intimate space of the Arts Cafe for not just a performance, but a conversation about the work and the form.

In the 60's..(The Shutdown Queens) .The first to have a headline singer. The first to be seen on U.k television. The first group to ever have a singer leave for a rival group.
In the 70's ...( The Queens of R&S) The first and last female rock band.
The first to perform at the met and grace the cover of rolling stone magazine. The Ordettes,The Bluebelles,Patti LaBelle & Her Bluebelles,Patti laBelle & The Bluebelles,LaBelle.
