이곳을 방문할 때는 꼭 시간에 맞추어 이동해야 한다. 아티틀란 호수는 고지대에 위치해 있기 때문에 오전에는 맑은 날씨가 이어지지만, 오후가 되면 천둥과 번개가 치고 소낙비가 내리기 시작한다. 특히 오후 1시 이후로는 물살이 거칠어져, 안전을 위해 오전에 산 페드로 마을을 다녀오는 것이 좋다.

Due to the lake's high altitude, the weather is usually clear in the morning, but by the afternoon, thunderstorms and heavy rain begin, often lasting throughout the night. The waters also become rough after 1 PM, so it’s recommended to visit San Pedro in the morning and return before the winds pick up in the afternoon.
The crystal-clear waters of Lake Atitlán and the tranquil atmosphere surrounding the villages offer a unique sense of peace.
