Shiny Luxray not at the moment, although we recently has an injured checkered garter snake come in (hit by a car) it unfortunately didn’t make it... which was a bummer But I have worked with them, just don’t keep any right now :D
@@brookeelle6879 Same. I went to my first one ever, the weekend right before everything closed. All I could think was how I was so glad that I was at least able to do that.
Justin Jensen I’m interested in those too, and also how to breed feeder rodents (though that might be upsetting to some viewers) I just like knowing how to do things for myself 🤷🏻♀️
Linda Kim more people are swinish about mammals and birds because they are more intelligent then bugs, and are more capable of feeling pain, so it’s probs not a good idea for a vid
Your reptile videos and my rapidly growing interest in snakes have finally pushed me to get a snake! Yesterday I got a Sunkissed Ghost morph cornsnake, her name is Noodle and she was so worth getting! She's chillin' in my sleeve right now :) Edit: for anyone curious, here she is! ruclips.net/video/s0BiQ2Tr604/видео.html Another video of her showing a better close up of her face and head markings: ruclips.net/video/dQw4w9WgXcQ/видео.html
How cool! I would let them chill for awhile after bringing a new snake home. They get stressed easily in a new environment, especially young corns. I don’t wanna be a downer, but if she’s hiding in your sleeve, it’s probably because she’s pretty freaked.
It makes me so happy that literally almost every video of Emily and Ed's is dedicated to proper care and husbandry of animals. I love seeing their animals flourish.
This is genuinely one of the nicest communities ever- people are never toxic and when they are they’re told off, and most arguments are civil or at least end civil
OMG! That garter is SO cute. Me and my sister are getting a hognose and are so excited. We used to be afraid of snakes but you taught us not to be. Now we almost have our own. ALSO tell Ed he HAS to sing when you guys hit 2 million. 🐍🐊
The car ride thing kinda works for plants too! I moved and my aloe went full bloom. Another two of my plants sprouted new shoots. They haven't done any of it again since then.
Emily, just a suggestion.....I use root mulch on the bottom.....pine needles on top. As you know, garter snakes STINK,moreso than other species, especially if fed earthworms or fish. The worms and fish seem to create more urea in the stools. The pine needles soak up the urea extremely well and dry the fecal matter quickly. What I do is collect pine needles outside but its better if you can collect them in a rural, suburban area, where the trees are growing near a street or road. There is less chances of picking up mites. Even still,I don't take chances,I put the pine needles in scalding hot water in a Walmart sweater box,lid it to drown the little bastards. Ive also out the pine needles in the freezer. I use the root mulch below with pine needles on top for corns, kings, pines, bulls, garters, rat snakes. Its extremely sanitary and the pine kills any stink. The new cage looks beautiful but will be a sanitary nightmare for you over a short period of time, and will stink.
Off-topic but Emily's belt is a classic NES controller, Ed's Bob Ross T-shirt and the amount of nerdy/geeky references you guys insert in the videos are always so cool!!
Ahh, climbing backgrounds are really fun for snakes that like them! I epoxied granite countertop scraps to the back of my rosy boa's tank and she climbs on them a fair bit when she feels like roaming. That enclosure is very pretty and I hope you guys to get red-sided garters~

My most favourite snakes are the gardar snake and hognoses. I wish you to keep doing such videos. I hope people after seeing your videos stop harming snakes due to being scared of them....... I love your videos a lot.
It's pretty funny how they all seemed to want to burrow through the top of the plant on the left! I do hope to get some garter snakes in the future, once I get good at snake wrangling. There's a variation of them where I live (Florida Blue Sided) that is so beautiful. They honestly have the coolest morphs.
I absolutely love this channel because it has inspired me to love snakes and plan on getting one with my own money Evan though I am nine and have no experience with how to Evan handle a bank account. And before this lockdown stuff happened I wrote informational writing at school and kept it. Thank you Emily!
So heartwarming to see Ed slowly being featured in more and more Snake Discovery videos. He used to be extremely adamant about his face being out of the shots but now he's damn well thriving. I hope he continues to open up and step out of his comfort zone! He looks so happy here with you Em!
Watching them wrap around the top of the grass is so dang cool to me. That plant didn't look like it could support climbing but clearly I don't have the intuition of a snake.

I have a milk snake who loves hanging out in my sleeves. If I hold him hold him in my hand, he'll eventually find his way in there.
1:55 that totally explains why my finches bred pretty much immediately after we moved...
My parents yelling at me that you don't learn anything from RUclips.
