It's Only Sport host Martin Devlin is joined by a very special guest on The Platform - John Mitchell, All Blacks coach between 2001 and 2003 and arguably New Zealand's most experienced rugby coach internationally. Mitchell is currently at the helm of the England women's side having previously served as Japan's assistant coach at last year's men's Rugby World Cup,.
As well as that, he's worked at the likes of the Chiefs, Bulls and Western Force in Super Rugby, and the USA and Ireland in the international game. He talks with Martin Devlin all about his current role with England, the attention women's rugby receives in the UK, resources at their disposal, whether or not he could return to NZ rugby, and much more.

Robbie deans and Canterbury bias was the issue.
Mitchell was coach but Deans was pulling the reins.

@@LJFN213 he literally set up nearly 2 decades of dominance ( all be it with Wayne S) by picking guys like carter, joe and mills, and mealamu which no coach would’ve touched for a World Cup year!the only way to get over the canty dominance is to dominate and no province has so don’t expect shock when AB’s selected
