Hi World!
This one's for the BLINKS! I wanted to give an inside look to the creation process of @BLACKPINK's 'How You Like That' choreography. I like to have a lot of fun creating so hopefully you'll enjoy seeing how certain moves and sections of the choreography came to be!

i don’t know if you’ll see this but choreo is such a huge part of an era, song, and comeback for kpop... to see something like this is incredibly entertaining and interesting. super insightful, please document and share when you choreograph again!
For real bcs if the chorus choreo was a flop the song can't just bring by itself bcs everytime i hear the chorus the choreo really pop on my mind

Well that's why yg want him cause they are part of the comeback, kiel and blackpink are one team
But they work hard as well cause they need to choreographed the song
TBH Kiel should've just choreographed the whole song. Like he literally made up the iconic moves yet he was getting hated on for "recycling" moves. Like c'mon. This choreo was flawless.
I don't think you know the reason why YG lets various choreographies do a take on a song.
i think that he recycled moves for other groups which i think doesn't look good on his part. its fine if its the same group bc its more continuity but if its a different group and concept that isnt right.

Nah. The other parts look cringey. Good thing he didn't choreo the whole song. Look at the part where the dancers try to choreo the look at yoh now look at me part.. No way that could have worked out 😆😆😅
@@athyl.6619 Idk what you watched but the "look at you now look at me" parts were exactly the same as the final choreography. the first couple of times were different but that was because he was still brainstorming LMAO
I hope people stop the hate towards choreographers and appreciate all the hard work they put into creating for these groups. At the end of the day, it's up to the groups choreographer that oversees them that chooses what to put in. And it's not necessarily due to the choreography being "weak" but maybe not "suitable" for that groups audience or it also could be that a member cannot execute it well. I'm not talking about just BP but just choreography for a Kpop group in general.

@@oceans_potato2955 To be honest HYLT choreo was a huge improvement than KTL causs it has more new formations and to he honest the dance moves were'nt that repetitive I was really happy they changed the choreo at the 2nd verse chorus. But thats just my opinion

2:28 this sounds so different, you can hear Rosé's voice leading the "yeah yeah yeah" part. and on 14:29, you can hear Jisoo saying "yeah yeah yeah".
Maybe the song wasn’t finished yet and they decided to edit the voice a little higher. But idk

I'm always amazed as I was fortunate enough to have found Blackpink in their predebut dance practice, and jumped into the fandom early from that point onwards to the world phenomenon they are now. So greatful for Royal family for a lot of things.

Good thing Kiel posted this one...so that everyone sees what happens behind each and every choreography...not at those "fans" who would just throw unnecessary hate.. see how much work, brainstorming and refining they do on each choreo..and they submit demos, it still depends on the company and artists themselves how the final choreo will turn out..

we blinks should really reflect on ourselves because Kiel just posted on his stories about fans sending all these death threats to him for a choreography which only used like 20% of his original piece sent to YG. We should really be ashamed and embarrassed. He’s such a huge fan of these girls and like people just go and give him threats for just a choreography that you dont like? He did not mention any names but I mean its pretty damn obvious do I even need to say...
1) He mentioned that kpop companies will not just look for one choreographer. They will look for multiple choreographers and these choreographers will send their creations to the company, the company will thn decide which parts they wanna use. Its kinda sad because they choreographed the whole 3-4 mins song but theres no guarantee your whole 3-4 mins creation will be shown. You guys have no idea how harsh and hard is it.
2) He mentioned that you uncultured people be talking sh*t without knowing much about dance. Which i agree. He said that you guys think these idols are gods that can breathe so well while dancing and singing. As a dancer I freaking agree on this, its really very hard to breathe when dancing not to mention these idols have to sing live as well.
3) He said that only 20% of his creation was used but I see yall be putting on the blame on him in the comments section everywhere I see his name lol. Please do some research before pushing it all to one person.
but for now we should be embarrassed about our dear fandom doing this to Blackpink’s team of hardworking people.

WOW. Witnessing the creative process of the choreography just hits different. It's so much fun to know how the choreo was made and to know that most parts of your choreo made it to the final choreography of HYLT. You did amazing in these song parts. Thank you for letting us see how you made it. But now, I am curious about the whole and complete choreo of HYLT that u made👀👀

I wish kpop music videos can give credits to writers , producers and choreographers at the end of the music videos! There's so much that goes in into creating these comebacks but fans only focus on their idols while there's so much talent behind the scenes that needs to be appreciated as well

AndieArrieta yessss idk why he never mention Kiel, while Kiel always mentions him. In the iheard radio award, he didnt give a word to Kiel but Kiel countlessly mentioned him. Even on instagram, he didnt tag Kiel or say anything about Kiel. Thats so weird. Look like only Kiel respects him but he didnt respect Kiel at all. And they both choreographed for Blackpink but only Kiel got hateful comments from blinks. Kiel is the one always show his support to the Pinks, maybe because Kiel is an active and supportive person then blinks forgot about Kyle 🤷♀️. To Kiel, you did a great job, I love your hard work, but I just hope the choreography will be a little stronger next time, juts a little. Thanks

Honestly the choreographer should get royalties on the performances just like the people who work the song.
The choreographer of How You Like That should have millions.
This is exactly the content we want and love to see! Only thing I’d say is in the end pls add your entire demo that you send to the company so we get to see those moves too (we don’t need the behind the scenes on them if you don’t want to and also time constraint but we also want to see what could’ve been). Thanks so much Kiel! Your choreo parts slayed and I wish I could see more of what you had planned! Please drop all your BP demo videos one day

lisalily i know, i was referring to whoever made the final decision of the choreo, doesn’t limited to him.
lisalily he’s not the only person that works on the choreography he probably communicates with other choreographers throughout the whole process so it could’ve been anyone that changed it

The way they executed the dance moves and those facials. I have watched these girls dance over the years and they are always 🔥. Kirsten has always been my fav though 😍
Seriously the first time i saw the choreography the only thing that i like is the ending that was such an iconic dance steps thats why i practice to learned it and i didn't knew it was kiel who made that amazing moves that was such iconic it looks so bad ass seriously. I like kiel's choreography since he also choreograph with Itzy and Twice, and my faves Blackpink. I hope someday when YG LET LISA HAVE HER SOLO DANCE BREAK i hooe you're the one who will choreograph it. Kiel's and the girls who have powerful dance moves are magnificent i like their aura i hope kn the future i can have that too
