Amazing tour of FLW designed house. I love FLW homes been to quite a few. The architecture is second to none. The sink inside with the S was the same as the one at his home and studio in Oak Park and they said it was so soft it would dent before a plate broke if you dropped it in there. Great video new subscriber saw you on the Live stream yesterday. Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much!!! Yes, his work totally fascinates me!!! I never knew that about the 'S' in the kitchen, that's very cool!!!! I had thought that the metal looked soft in the sink at Graycliff but it was not mentioned in tour. Thank you for that and welcome to the channel!!!

Great video. This was my Great grandfather’s estate. Darwin Martins grandson was my father and I started watching videos because my father, Darwin Martin Foster just passed away Thursday and I just wanted to visualize his growing up years again, just immersing myself in his memory and of visits with him in the last 4 years. You did a wonderful job. Thank you so much for sharing ❤️

this is great! just now learning about FLW and his works and his friends.. Darwin Martin and his wife were more than socialites.. they were lifelong friends of Frank and helped him when the chips were down.. interesting note is that this summer home was built for the family but designed for her because she was almost blind and needed all the daylight through the windows. Truely a work of love.

Lots of similarities with his Westcott House in Ohio. Nice visit, loved the views of the lake.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I think Wright's work is always amazing!! Years ago, I was in the Columbus area and wanted to make the trek out to Wescott. Plans just didn't work out. Someday!! Thanks for watching!!!

I'm huge fan of his work. The same family owned another Wright house in downtown Buffalo that is even more impressive!! I've been wanting to vlog it for some time, but they don't allow inside photography... Some day!!

Stainless Steel I-Beams? They made those? Stainless Steel wasn't invented until 1913 so the use in i-beams seems unlickly. Now if you were talking about the Bethelhem Steel i-beams ... that was made just up the road in West Seneca.
