This song reminds me of the night of 27/1/2021. I was travelling with my whole family (husband and 2kids) from western to oyugis. At around 8pm I told hubby to do away with the ohangla music we were listening to and instead have this song play. As this song was playing we rammed into a tractor that had no headlights. Our vehicle rolled severally, but we all came out alive. Ng'uono ne ema omiyo pod wangima....May His name be glorified.
This was our everyday alarm by Ben Oluoch Okello( The late) Going prepare mandazi by the roadside ,(Rodi Kopany Roddesa Market)with our mama and then off to school. ( RIP Mama) Nyasaye nguon adier.
At 5am. I had to wake up and lit the jiko for breakfast then off to school. That was our alarm, mama didn't need to come to the sitting room to wake us up as she could put a loud volume. I'm now done with campus remembering my mum with this tune. RIP Nyaugenya
My love for this woman and her entire group is real. The most genuine gospel artist in my eyes...Eunice may Jehovah continue blessing ur path and ways so you continue blessing many with your songs..Nguonone has now become my favourite after Nyasaye marahuma....we all need no reasons to be thankful besides being alive by Gods grace...yes 2020 has been tough but we are still above ground ..we are still 6 feet above ground and not inside a 6 by 6 home below the ground...tumshukuru Mungu jamani daima na milele...
