    Thank you professor Chetty and thank you Harvard University for sharing first class knowledge for free. For those of us interested in public economics, these lectures are an invaluable source of information.

    This is perfect. I am an economic loving person. Econ is a fantastic subject and even though my books and my research has served well, this ability to go to a Harvard Lecture is only going to improve my knowledge on the subject.

    How the smaller communities across the globe can take benefit from public economy policies in the local context - need of the hour to dwell more and explore better... Wishing Raj win the Big Prize in bringing closer to such realities at least in some of the emerging localities in the world :-)

    The presentation style is excellent, highly appreciated !!!!! very illuminating discourse on public economics with a bias towards tax .

      The same was my case. I had to apply for scholarships in the US to achieve this level of education. I have to say though that not all American universities have the same quality. Even though the academia there is very competitive and tends to homogenize teaching quality, in this particular case, I think is the particular ability and ease to present of Chetty that makes this lecture amazingly clear.

    Im curious to learn how Harvard feels about Wolff telling people that if you get an education at Harvard then you will be taught that the employer sets the price of a product in a market..?

    How does Raj Chetty manage to confuse socialism with communism ...

    • @Guldmann266
      @Guldmann266 Год назад +2

      He doesn't, though it depends on how you define socialism.
      Bernie Sanders style socialism is closer to socialdemocracy.
      Socialism, in the more old-school definition, is the intermediate level between capitalism and communism, before the true classless society with no government has arrived. In this definition of socialism, the state controls essentially everything.
