Thank you for the clear explanation! All I needed to change was the size/resolution, some parts were falling off and/or overlapping (using Visual Studio on Windows 10). After hard-coding the sizes of the media player and text box, this was resolved.

Oh, well that was allot easier than what I did. I developed a music app in Java and programmed everything including the play, pause, stop, previous, next song and everything else. What you did was so much easier to simply use the windows media player dll.

if you select music from your folder the 2nd time an error will occur and it says
An unhandled exception of type 'System.IndexOutOfRangeException' occurred in MusicPlayerAppcSharp.exe
Additional information: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
how can I fix this error sir?

@@macrotvirosephonline8734 I know this is old but ran into this and put it together real quick. I ran into this issue myself and a few others but to fix this one.
I created another list to store all the paths. Once stored, I would add any new paths that were pulled from the select btn. This allowed me to keep the index of all the paths constant. You would then change the selected index change function to your new list.SelectedIndex
Basically make a list accessible from anywhere in the script.
List trackPaths = new List()
In the Select_Btn_click add another for loop.
for(int i = 0; i < paths.Length;i++) trackPaths.Add(paths[i])
Next
In the ListBox_Selected IndexChange function change the
windowsMediaPlayer.URL = trackPaths[Listbox.SelectedIndex]
Issue will be solved. Hopefully it helps anyone that gets stuck trying to figure it out.
@@Voidsway it worked! I thought changing paths and files to a generic list would help but it didnt made a difference.
Nice video! Also a quick feature you can add is a button that clears the songs. Duplicate the Select songs button, resize them to fit. Then change the name of it and double click the button. in the selected line do:
listBoxSongs.Items.Clear();
That's it! not sure why he didn't put this in the video to be honest!
It's supposed to be a quick video to get beginners interested in C#.
So, I kept it simple and short.

Make sure, that you are creating a .NET Framework project instead of a .NET Core!
