    Looks like two different 777s on one video. On 3:28 is the newer RP-C7782 with a lie-flat business class and newer economy seats. You boarded on the older RP-C7772 4:33 with the angled business class seats. At least the most imporant thing is that they will get you home safe and sound 😊

      Thanks for watching! Yes, two PAL 777s parked next to each other. Although the seats on our 777 were rhe older type, we had a very comfortable flight, the service was second to none, and we got home safely!
      We prefer the 2-3-2 layout in PAL’s 777 Business Class because of the enormous amount of space in the cabin. Their A350 product seems more modern but the spaciousness is missing!
      We highly recommend PAL Business Class for its value, spaciousness, comfort level, delicious meals, and unmatched Filipino service!

    I've been watching your travel experience video outbound from LAX to MNL as well and already left a comment there.
    I really liked a lot what I've seen about PAL's long haul Business-Class product!
    What really makes a big difference is the generous amount of space PAL offers, something you simply don't find anymore in Business-Class nowadays. If I compare PAL's Business-Class seats to those I know from Cathay Pacific, Lufthansa, Thai Airways or China Airlines - where you feel to be cramped into a half open coffin when in full flat position, the freedom PAL offers in this slightly outdated seat and layout simply is priceless!
    Newer is not necessarily better! 🤷‍♀️😉
    Have you noticed the difference of the food presentation? Manila did way better than Los Angeles! 🍽️🍹👍
    Freshness, arrangement and presentation of the food served on your return flight from MNL to LAX was definetely of higher quality!
    Something PAL should go over with their caterer at LAX.
    Allover your video was very helpful to us, we would definetely prefer to fly PAL on our way to Manila.
    Thanks for sharing your experience, you are a wonderful couple and it was a pleasure watching!
    Loveley greetings from Germany, Simone 🙋‍♀️👍👍🇵🇭

      Thank you Simone from Germany for watching my videos about our PAL Business Class experiences. I totally agree with you that "newer is not necessarily better." This current PAL Business Class in their B777-300ERs offers a generous amount of space unlike any other in its class. The value it offers along with its authentic Filipino hospitality onboard is second to none. Many travelers expect too much in Business Class but what matters most to us is that we had very comfortable flights both ways with PAL. Thanks for the video! I flew economy from BKK to LAX in late December. I had read about PAL’s reputation to be late but in flying to first Manila, then to Los Angeles, in each case the flight left an hour late. The connection was 5.5 hours, so even with the delay, the connection wasn’t tight. I fly back to BKK on PAL in May and am considering bidding on upgrading to Business Class. I’ll probably bid a day or two before check in. I wonder if I did get the upgrade, what would change in baggage allowance? By the way, I noticed the St. Maarten tee shirt on Carol. That’s one of my favorite islands!

      Thanks for watching our video! Hope you get the upgrade to Business Class. All of our flights departed on time. 😊
      Baggage allowance in business class is still 2 pcs, but the weight is increased to 70 lbs instead of 50 lbs. You also get priority baggage handling, which means your baggages will be the first ones off the plane when you land.
      We went on a cruise to St Maarten last year! Love that place! 😊

    Come what may, PAL is my airline of choice, be it a local or regional flight. I was satisfied with the service and comfortable enough through the entire flight. I`m not going to board a flight just to find flaws in their service or their plane. Lastly, their fares are cheaper than those of any other regional airline. Thanks for the vid. :)

    I just checked the price for business class for round trip flight only for Phllipines in October 2024 is $4,800. Is that about right ? Also as business class client do you get your own entrance to board & do you get faster processing through US Customs when you come back to the states? Thanks for sharing =)

    • @GilCarolAdventures
      @GilCarolAdventures  17 дней назад +1

      Thanks for watching! The cost of PAL Business Class you found is about right! Other major airlines cost a lot more! At the airport you get a separate check-in line. When boarding the plane Business Class passengers will be the first group to board and first group to exit the plane. There is no priority line for US Customs and Immigration. The only way to do that is if you have a Global Entry ID, which you can apply for. With that Global Entry ID you also get TSA pre-check so you go to a shorter line at LAX. Hope this helps. If you need help with your travel I can help because I’m a travel agent! 😊

      @GilCarolAdventures I saw the price on Expedia. As for the seating 💺 & leg space in business class if you get a window seat - Do you have aks someone to move if you need to get up or is there space to get up and go? Thanks for sharing

    • @GilCarolAdventures
      @GilCarolAdventures  17 дней назад

      @@lakt2136 if you get a window seat there’s plenty of legroom to get up and go. But, if the seat is laid flat there’s not much space to go around it. Thats the only bad part about it. I recommend the aisle seat if you’re flying solo. For booking with Expedia, I can probably get you better pricing than Expedia.

      @@GilCarolAdventures I am hoping so! If indeed they do the 1-2-1 on their most popular route of SFO-MNL, and the price is lower than China Airlines and EVA (both stop in TPE), then I will go with PAL (direct). When vacationing in the Philippines, vacation to me is "less stress", and if the journey starts off with dealing with PAL's cancellations, delays and so forth, they have to bring the price "way down" to make it worthwhile. PAL has to start caring about their own people, and that starts with them being the flagship carrier of the country, if we are ever to give a damn about them. It goes both ways.
