I also got flooded, my house is in a curve, neighbors land is higher than my land, so when it rains all the water goes from their yard to mine, a culvert was placed near the entrance of my house, it helped, but not enough, water entered the house, about 1 inch, we packed and left the house, My father went back to see the house while we stayed at my grandmothers. Man, the water had risen about say, 7 - 8 inches? Whatever the height was, mattresses, clothes, school materials, hell, even my fridge fell over even though we lifted it with 2 cement blocks lol, left a big dent in the drywall, we had to remove doors, and clean the walls. I thank my family, for they helped us a lot, my aunt had sent new mattresses, and 2 of my other aunts helped in washing clothes, I thank my grandmother too, we stayed with her till we got the house ready. Man that sucks, it has been bad here in Cayo but not as bad as you have it and there is more rain and possibly a hurricane coming. Stay safe and plants can be replaced but not your life..... Praying for you and your family....
