It looks like they didn’t bother to change those awful slider clips for tracking character stats. Is that indeed the case? Those things always used to move on me. I solved the problem in BHH by thickening up the edges of the cardboard with tape, but it’s still a clunky solution.
These sliders were much more workable. Didn't slide at all. In Betrayal at House on the Hill, Shawn bit into all of them with his canine teeth, making them more usable.
I hold neither Montgomery nor Bradley in particularly high regard. So it works for both. I believe the original quote was about Atlee, whom he also called "A sheep in sheep's clothing."
I found this reskin incredibly derivative and uninspired. I hate to be complaining, but I played this on release day at my flgs, and I left with a frown. Clunky, unbalanced, random beyond reason. So much could have been done with this theme. Really expected more from them.

I get the randomness you speak of, and it can be clunky. But as I say I play this game for the stories. And it succeeds in that aspect very well.
