That color is growing on me. I was expecting a red or bright yellow. That E-Ray looks like a space fighter from a game like "Wing Commander" or "Mass Effect." All the toys! A brilliant model for integrating all the best tech to an astonishing degree.
Had an amazing time on this rally. So many great people! Got to ride right seat in this car with Jake and… holy hell is it fast. Still felt like a vette though!
Do you have trouble seeing out the back or a lot of blind sides in the mirrors? Do you find yourself needing the lift? Congratulations on your new vehicle!! 🎉
@@Luckimee The side mirrors are ok, no trouble seeing out the back, because the rear view mirror is a camera, with the display where the mirror usually is... You don't have to worry about trying to see through the engine bay, the camera is behind that and the view is adjustable, you can zoom in and out, and it works WAY better at night than a regular mirror would...
Corvette is my favorite car, I plan on buying either a c6 or a c7. The further I wait to buy it, the more likely it'll be a c7 or a c8 if I wait 5-10 years.
It's nice to see an actual interesting color. While I'm not a fan of the looks of the C8 and much of the spec is not my kind of thing, this sounds really cool with both drivetrains working together and seems like a great driving experience. The electric motor noise reminds me of gear whine from a straight cut gearbox, but without becoming obnoxious and is a great add. IMO, the E-Ray seems like the pick of them (or maybe the base for the value).
Comp seats are more narrow than gt2s. I am 6 foot 200 lbs but no issues with any of the 3 seats offered on a vette. If your waste is smaller than 36 comp bigger than 38 gt2 if bigger than 44 gt1
This is the way Electric motor improve driver experience and use-ability for every day driving, +160hp and adds AWD at a cost of a bit more weight. Oh and you still have a good range with full tank if you drive normally
Glad to know you're on this side of the country! Love the videos and would also wonder how can we get you to try my car in the back roads up here in the sf bay area! I drive a CTS Vsport, would love to hear your thoughts on it while riding these roads in California
I'm not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed when I heard the Corvette was going hybrid, but now that I've seen it in action, it's better than I was expecting.
This is Michael. Great review on an amazing car, although I would have liked to have heard some feedback on those ceramic brakes. That color is ugly and I seriously doubt it will sell.
I've always wondered - do you do dub-overs and just look like a madman in person waving/pointing at things generically until you do a dub over? :D I'm sure you don't, but the thought entered my mind and so here it is. Great video as always, sir!
I'd have to go Corvette. The NSX feels a little dated already and the brakes in the NSX feel very nervous. It's a great car but this Vette just makes more sense
I agree it probably is the best hybrid you ever driven. That isn't until it breaks and either the parts are on backorder for 5 months or they don't even know how to fix it.🤔🤫🙄
pretty much true for all new cars. Look at all the new Honda and Toyota products. Toyota's V6 twin turbos are already seeing issues. Couple that with a hybrid driveline and wait 10 years.
@@TedwardDrives Yep, very true. 😬 I was just watching a semi recent car wizard video this morning and they were talking about numerous vehicles like late model where they can't get parts or they have to wait 5 months if not longer, that's crazy. These cars are getting so complex that the only people that might be able to fix them are the people that design them.🤯
Yeah. I remember the C6 Z06 valve drop. And the C6 steerlock actuator saga. Chevy engineers are like the french: they do some brilliant stuff and take shortcuts with the rest.
That receipt was holding on for dear life!!
It became a game lol...Every time I looked down I felt a sense of wonder and hope.
😂
I HONESTLY thought you guys were the same person for a while 😂😂 . Love the Content!
An awesome first ACH experience, and it was so cool to get to watch you capture it all on video! Thanks again for such a fun ride!
Glad you had fun! You were a great passenger
Gotta love the electric motor.
this looked fun as hell… and that colourway looks gorgeous on this car!

Glad you got to ride right seat for a little bit!
I would love to see a video of this thing being driven through a snowstorm in the mountains.
lol
I just picked up a 2024 1LT w/Performance Exhaust in Cacti Green and love the color. Everyone that sees it in person, is amazed at how good it looks.

never understood the hate on the squircle when its the best for 2 hand driving and paddle usage besides a yoke
Cacti green with orange calipers and seatbelts would be perfect 👌
what a fancy sports car, I like the paint color!
I hopefully I can buy this new Corvette E-Ray.

really digging the color something unique and different
Transmission wild

I take the regular stingray i love the c8 the only draw back for me to buy one is they have no manual available.
Love it! Great video.
Was awesome to get to meet you in person. Even cooler our little GTI group got on camera 😂
An E-Ray in so Cal is a dream ❤❤
I live near PCH and CANT WAIT
Thank you for driving like a Pro! Most video's they drive like Grandpa's!
i like that color. They finally reopened up to Newcombs ranch? oh boy!
Love the video keep them coming. I just took delivery of number 178 so reach out.
Very cool car

That Spec is nice 👌
It’s an f1 car for the street. Mode charge, mode charge!
That Mini was fast lol
Regen button needs to be on wheel preferably back like who desings this?
Impressive driving - fat tires and AWD or not, you were holding some good speed through sketchy looking stuff!

Wait... At the start, is that the same place as the LAC mod on Assetto Corsa?? It looks exactly the same
That’s a c8 corvette it’s a hybrid car it’s fast takes turns real good that’s why I like expensive car not the cheap slow car
Love this! ❤
Is there a reason for the blur at some points?
Yes
😂
@@TedwardDrives You punk 😆
Is it more noisy( wind noise)with the top down with a convertible or with a coupe.
Not even close coupe buffers and is noisy and no rear window to roll down. Sold my coupe for htc😅
I like the square wheel. What’s the knock?
Just read the comments here and in my other C8 videos. A lot of people hate it
@@TedwardDrives I’ve never had the honor, so it’s probably just envy! Haha
4:18 Stupid pointless ask, but out of curiosity, inclusive in what way? Like regarding who's a part of it or the variety of cars?
Well just checked, happy my hopeful guess was right :)
You should do the Audi RS6
Incredible car!

Wish I could join you
I want the convertible

Everything happens as you see it in real time haha
Would be lovely if the interior had less carbon fiber garbage in it. Aluminum, analogue and one small screen.
This vs Nsx?

Tesla killer!
My LS460 can do the same thing.

I honestly don't think sports cars shouldn't be a hybrid whatsoever
