I'm from India and on 3rd January 2020 Xiaomi launched Mi Watch Color a lite version of this same watch with circular face. I hope you can review that too.

You can use the Mi Band 4 bluetooth connectivity to unlock devices like Android phones/tablet (like a Mi/Redmi phone), Windows PC and even MacOS (tho buggy).
Been waiting for a square-faced, non-Apple-only, whatsapp-messaging-enabled, Crown-controllable n decently-priced smartwatch for the longest time. Thanks for the great intro n do show us more of its other features... Especially whatsapp replying. 😁 Cheers. 🍻
Two things are most important for me: 1) Square format. The round format is vastly inferior for an information device; 2) 7 days battery life. That's right. Seven days, minimum. But there is probably zero chance of getting that with the current and foreseeable products. So, the tradeoff is between communications functionality (cellular and WiFi) and sufficient battery life. And that's why I own a GTS. Yet, I would be very curious to learn the battery life on the Mi Watch with cellular and WiFi turned off.

Then look at any watchface which purports to display significant amounts of information and tell me round is equal. I was waiting for Xiaomi to lauch a smartwatch with WearOS instead of their proprietary OS, but I much prefer round designs, and I know I'm not the only one! That's a shame, becouse it is potentially the best OS, in the same way as Android is, for app development and etc. Google needs to decide if it's going to bury it or fix it. Unfortunatelly for us Android users, becouse the Apple watch for IOS is a very solid option.
yes, but i'm asking myself the question, isn't the ticwatch pro better than this? it also has wear os and always on display good battery and is now afordable. I have been using a huawei watch 2 (not the new gt but the one with wear os) and really the only problem i have with it is that the os needs some polishing, and app support it's just way better on the apple watch it has a lot of apps that have far better features)

I've owned the mi band 4 for about half a Year now. It is a Great Watch. The 20 day battery life is insane! I do miss nfc tho. Should I upgrade to the middle watch? Or should I wait for the middle band 5...
Yes, I am very interested. I own and use multiple Xiaomi devices and for me the most important thing in a smartwatch os the OS. Otherwise, you can just call it a fitness tracker and I already have a MI Band 3 for that. So no, thank you to the Amazefit, Galaxy watch, Huawei, etc. I would've gone for a Fossil/Ticwatch, but when I heard Xiaomi will put one out, I put all that aside and decided to wait for it.
la amizfit est bien moins fluide quant on switch. Cela fait "bas de gamme" comparé à la xiaomi watch, la taille est bien plus mince que la xiaomi, mais par contre, elle s'éteins pas au bout de 28h... Cela fais 3 jours que je l'ai et j'étais à 87% quand je l'avais eu. Je suis actuellement à 69%, j'ai perdu à peine 18% en 3 jours et j'ai fais pas mal de réglages... Personnellement les deux sont bien. Elles ont leur avantage et leur inconvénient. Mais une montre, tant qu'on peut voir l'heure, la date, le graphique du cœur de la journée, la météo, le nombre de pas, calories brûlées, du moment qu'on reçois les messages, alarmes et compagnie, c'est ce qui importe. L'avantage de la amazfit GTS, c'est qu'on peut personnaliser son écran d'accueille pour avoir tout d'inscrit dessus dès qu'on la regarde. Su la Xiaomi, faut appuyer sur le bouton, switcher, ce qui fais perdre un peu de batterie quand même. La amazfit GTS à tout pour plaire. Et entre les deux, j'ai choisis la amazfit GTS. Pour moi les deux meilleures montres sont la GTS et la GTR.

No. It is not good. But this shows that Samsung WOULD be able to modifie WearOS as well instead of putting Tizen on their watches. WearOS has many more apps!!
Huawei has a lot more battery but loses smartwatch features like replying to notifications on the watch directly and having 3rd party apps from the store (you can make calls on the huawei watch). The mi watch loses in battery life while having all of smartwatch features that the huawei doesn't have.

@@ASBYT I think the issue with previous models from them is that the international versions didn't come with an NFC chip and the Chinese versions that did have the chip were only compatible with alipay

I don't get why everyone says it's a copy of the apple. What other form factor is it ment to have, a triangle instead. It's like saying Samsung copies apples phone because there both rectangular.
It's a shame you didn't mention some of the nice features like using bluetooth devices like watches to unlock your other devices like phones, tablets and laptop/desktop. PS = Wonder they might even have app on the phone for controlling home devices as they are part of Xiaomi portfolio.
I can read Chinese so the CN version isn't a problem anyway, but I'll probably wait for the Global version to come out and buy it on AliExpress or something

GTS has better battery life because it's basically a smart band, it has way less features than the Mi Watch
When is this released in the UK? I can only find the Mi watch Lite or the Mi Watch, which is different to this as it has a circular design.

As far as I'm aware, as it's Wear OS, Google pay will be a feature on the global version 👍
