    I just received one of these; yesterday evening; the last one on Amazon. It's very small, a ladies pen. It came in a Moonman box. I flushed and inked with Diamine Raspberry Rose and at first it was scratchy and I was a little disappointed but after all, the pen is from five years ago, and Chinese pens have improved enormously since then. But today, I picked up the pen again and the longer I wrote with it, the smoother it got, and the more I look at it, the better I like it. I especially like the engraved New Moon on the cap ring. It's well done. This little pen is going to be an every day pen for me. By the way, Doug, I have a dress that I purchased for Elegant Night on a cruise, that also resembles this pen. My pen did not have the fude nib.

After an initial clean and filled with Private Reserve "Burgundy Must", it writes SO smooth. Have minimal experience with this nib type but it's made me pick up a few more "nibbed" pens yesterday. Amazon's nomenclature is not rocket science either. Good luck if you find a cheap Pelikan described as EF, F, M or B. Because life is hard. Harder by taobao/alibaba reseller with ebay/aliexpress store. I admire his imagination. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. A flock of Jinhao 126 roosted in "bamboo" boxes sold at 25 euros each. Baoers and Heros wrapped as if they were porcelain from the Ming dynasty and sold as such… All these memorable moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

    Do you know if possible to purchase extra delike nibs or nib section? I like the Delike nibs (despite being a #5 nib) and could use a couple extra mini-fude but no idea who to contact. I purchased a multi-color mostly blue & green but also cream, violet, rust ... from Amazon about a year ago so had to check there if these are the same new moon pens-think so & surprised to see a few still available! I was quite surprised when I ordered this - not quite certain about the resin - but when it arrived I was thrilled with how pretty & unusual it looks plus a nice nib & good feel in the hand.

    Thanks for the reference. You didn't mention that the nib is referred to as a Bent nib. If someone orders the EF they will probably not be happy. I have enjoyed the Delike bent nibs for many years. This is not a "new" model but Delike has used different resins for the New Moon model that preceded the 3. For this model, I reviewed a blue (Galaxy) color in August of 2017. The many models of Chinese pens are made more complex by the names used by sellers. One may say it takes a lot of study to try to make sense of them. At least some of us try. Be safe & healthy.

    • @chrisrap52
      @chrisrap52 4 года назад

      @@InkquiringMinds In my experience, Delike only uses "bent" for this style. Other pen makers use other terms. Mini-fude is not a defined nib as far as I know. Fudes usually have an angle associated with them, Sailors in particular. Waverly is a different nib, similar but not the same. PenBBS just calls them F. Bobby calls his a handmade nib. So many ways to define a nib type.

    Delike New Moon history is longer than you may think. It started with the New Moon, a solid pastel color resin pen which was approximately as short as the New Moon 3.
