Great video. I like your layout. OMG...how many passenger cars was that? These engines must have some powerful pulling power.
A serious question, how would you fire a steam locomotive in reverse with no access to the tender?
Im assuming your talking about the cabforward, they burn oil, not coal. The pol and water are delivered along large feeder pipes via pumps to the firebox behind the crew. The fire man just controls the pump to increase or decrease the delivery.
The age of handfired steam locomotives are long gone. Even the regular steam engines fires were mechanically controlled
