I did enjoy the video and thank you for making it! Kimm Heath-Carrico born in Dearborn Hospital, transplanted to Sarasota Fl in 1972, one of my best memories was from my visit to this establishment in 1971 when I was on a field trrip. So cool to see it again! I am production coordinator for the Sarasota County Film and Entertainment office@!

I enjoyed walking along with you. My mother was a tour guide at Fairlane and she died long ago, I only mention because I used for be on the Ford property often as a child with her. The only thing she would have said different is the river was the front. It is an amazing mansion with beautiful details. Thanks for the walk!

I've been on the grounds there so many times. Very nice. Never have had an opportunity to go inside though.
.....Oh yeah, that weeping willow and playhouse were always something to stop by! 😊

They use to have a restaurant where the indoor pool was, I've eaten in there several times, the name of the restaurant was called " The Pool " The inside exquisite nothing but the best. Today it's being restored to the original

Very nice. Thank you. In this time we forget that we stand upon the shoulders of those who came before us. I was a successful Engineer because of giants like Mr. Ford.

Wow, thank you so much for sharing this with me, John!! That was very interesting and wonderful! The mansion looks much better from close than from far away. The entrance is really grandiose. It's amazing there's nobody walking around. It looks like a great place to walk. I guess nobody can go inside the mansion. Do they have a open-house season when they let people in for a tour? I envy you for having a place like this to walk around whenever you want.

Kumhui you would be even more impressed with the inside, it's so over the top with imported marble and hand carved wood work. The restaurant was shut down and theirs been alot of work going on. Rumor has it that the Ford's have taken control and their restoring it back to original. I knew they were locating all the original furniture and moving it back in. Kumhui although I've been inside many times I've never had an official tour yet, I don't think it's open for tours right now because of the construction taking place. Yes I consider myself very fortunate to have grown up exploring the grounds even sometimes in the middle of the night and swimming in that lake for a second. Even though it's not mine it is something I treasure and appreciate. This quick video and the other video's still can't do this wonderful place the justice it deserves it truly is a masterpiece in every aspect. Although my friends and I have been on the grounds hundreds of times we still enjoy visiting, it's an escape from the city right in the city.

I guess you've told me before that you had been inside the mansion many times. Lucky you! It will be really amazing to restore it just like it used to be. I love marble, and that's one of the reasons why I used to love visiting a beautiful, grand mausoleum building in a cemetery in Denver. Everything inside was marble. Now I miss that place. There must be a few videos of inside of the Henry Ford mansion on RUclips. I should look for it.

Soulful Passion Kumhui I can tell you the pool area where I have been to eat many times is mainly all white marble, it reminded me of something as I envision as like the Roman baths. There were even heated marble benches. I'll try to get some pictures of the pool area to share with you. I have another short view I took yesterday of just panning into the naked woods, I think you like that look.

What is the fate of this beautiful estate? All the time creating the new. What is the future of this Masters Piece??

It still stands and is being restored to its original, I'm sure this historic treasure will continue on as long as the Ford's live.

People who do work for Ford, even and perhaps especially production employees, do make damn good money, I know that much. Getting into a Ford plant is like winning the lottery, from my observation.
