    Would have been helpful to show the blind closed and then the curtain to see if there is an extra benefit to even having the curtain.

      I guess you didn't watch the video. He does close the blind.

      @@phototristan He never shows the blinds closed without the curtain or the lights being on, so you can't see if the blinds alone would be enough.

      @@koshi6505 would've been nice to see. But he proved that the blinds don't work well by not allowing anyone to see that. This page is their company selling them. An those bots arguing in the comments that he did show it are their employees. So even if they worked. You don't buy from this company 🎉

    'limited light exclusion'. It would help if you closed the curtains properly, and not had light entering the room!

      not to mention, curtains supposed to swipe the floor as well to get that full blackout

      No such thing. The lighting doesn't change at all and is typical of a standard window. Thanks for your comment.

    If you're poor like me and do this because heat.
    Do curtains and tape them to the windows frame till it's blacked out. But have a white sheet behind it facing the outside to reflect heat.
    Add a cheap on-ing(idk the spelling) over to drastically lower the electric bill from ac windows units.
    You got it man!

      I've always covered the windows an half a foot surrounding each edge with blankets to make sure I don't have the light. This year I used a couple sheets an drapes. Last night I left one edge open an the windows closed an the a/c was running whenever I woke up. Seems a way better option. My dad would use the plastic insulation you blow dry that seals to keep heat indoors. The 3 layers of thick sheets/drapes I used this year probably would've been excellent with the plastic but I need to keep the windows able to open an cycle in fresh air because in 2 days my skin gets nasty from any stagnant air.

      @ShawnJonesHellion okay thank you so much for the tips, I have a old window that needs replaced but it's gonna take more work than just replacing the window we gotta rebuild the whole frame. I'm deff gonna do the plastic insulation around the sides that's genius

    • @umbrashading
      @umbrashading  8 месяцев назад +1

      You're absolutely right. The light is being manipulated by the blinds and curtains themselves. The light itself, however, doesn't change.

    the point of installing blinds is so that you dont need the curtains anymore. curtains are filthy and a pita to clean

  • @Hirotoro4692
    @Hirotoro4692 Месяц назад +1

    Man this is such a biased comparison. You didn't close the curtain properly, but you showcased a high-range electric blind that fits into a flush track leaving no gaps. You also showcased the blind WITH the curtains at the same time, but ONLY showed the curtains on their own.
    Next time try comparing products of equal value, IE: Normal blinds you pull down yourself which have light gaps around the side. And close the curtains properly next time!
    Absolute waste of time video. Can't even do an apples to apples comparison. Why does everyone these days have to bias things to suit their agenda instead of being fair and neutral?
