This might be a heavy comment to drop but here goes: I lost my 30 year old daughter in May to suicide. This story was one of her favourites. I'm incapable of holding my attention on written words for long before the words are jumping and I've lost my place. I thank you from the bottom of my broken heart for reading this book. I can feel close to my girl and in another world. Love the voices you do and how I can stay in the story. From the bottom of my broken heart, thank you 🙏💛
Ohhh…😢 I do hope you hurt a little less now than when you first wrote this post. Losing a child is the toughest experience. We lost our oldest son a week before last Christmas. He was 34. This was our first Father’s Day without him and my husband had a hard day. They were so close. I hope that one day reading this book will bring back only pleasant memories of your daughter and will only remind you of what a beautiful soul she was.♥️
Thank you so much for letting me listen to one of my favourite books from childhood. I’ve forgotten the majority of the book except my complete loathing of Broud.
I think of this story and the subsequent books of Ayla's life. Powerful piece of prehistoric fiction with characters based on actual archeologic finds. J. Auel gives credibility and humanity to the complexity of living so long ago. Her research and experiences add texture to her stories.

Thank you for your lovely reading. You have a soothing voice
I have read this series more than 5ctimes, nice to have someone read to me. My favorite series.
Broud: Raising more red flags than the entirety of the former soviet union.
Broud is just a male version of a Karen! Entitled idiot !LOL
I just love this part. I love being reminded that we can all be guided, that synchronisities are a gift we can allcenjoy if we pay attention..
I am really enjoying this story. Thanks!
David your the man!!!
This is a fun book and I’m loving it!!
She’s going to lead the clan I can feel it!!!
That didn’t age well
A princes and a queen is a really good one and the rouge prince is awesome!! No pressure 🤟
After this !!
I’m loving this clan of the cave 🐻 bear!!
Please finish this book first!!
I hope your doing well Davey!!
Also I’m re-listening to all the ice and fire books.,
When you get a chance there are a few stories that are song of ice and fire you miss
Am I the only one who receives Joffrey vibes from Broud?
Now you say it, it's obvious.
I was pregnant with my eldest daughter, when I first read the books. I named her Ayla ❤️
Excellent read David thanks!
The thumbnail is so exciting
You could read the Yellow Pages and make it sound interesting.
An excellent read!
Did Neanderthals have slings in real life?
No, there’s no evidence that Neanderthals ever invented Slings. In fact, the weapon wouldn’t be invented until the end of the last ice age
@@lochness5524 That's what I thought.
I don't know.
An excellent read!
