Lauren Hills Are you mad 90% of the comments are strictly about how cute her daughter is😂 why would people take the time out of their day to comment a lie? You think people can’t see through your jealousy over this adorable happy successful family? How embarrassing. You’re a mess. Lmao you’re such a loser you most likely like each of your own comments to make it seem like someone else agrees with your ugly self. Truly pathetic
I'm a post partum nurse this was great to see from a professional and yes thank you for not undressing her for all the perverts and weird people that watch these videos she's adorable.
I know this wasn't ment to be funny, but it gave me flashbacks to earning my RN-BSN. I had to video tape myself performing an assessment and I chose my 6 week old daughter. - Kristin
I love that your personal mission is about proper carseat placement. My husband is a carseat installation and safety specialist and he has told me that 90% of car seats are installed incorrectly. not all are super life threatening but a lot definitely are!
she's so cute!!! I'm going into my first L&D rotation soon this was very helpful to see a real patient that isn't as corporative as a mannequin THANK YOU!!!
Very cute video and such an adorable munchkin. The video explains in a very simple way to new parents and students about assessment of a new born. I want to add one thing .....assessment should be done only when baby is in a wakeful state!
im learning so much from you before i have kids. I really love educating myself first before popping one out. lol ... thank you so much for these videos
This was very thorough. Thank you very much! your baby is beautiful. I'm a newborn nursery nurse and searching for an assessment video for a friend who is having her first baby and is TERRIFIED. This is just what she needs!!
Hi Liz Awesome video. This is so helpful when I’m involved in a high risk delivery and need to perform the newborn assessment. Piper is such a great patient if only all babies would be a cooperative as she demonstrated. Piper is super cute and you are going such a fabulous job with her and Avery. Thanks for sharing 🙂.
Hahaha I love this video. My husband is in med school and the first month we brought our newborn baby home, he kept checking for all the reflexes, listening to the bowel sounds, and etc lol this video reminds me of that time! 😙
Thank you so much for doing this! I'm an absolute visual learner and a video like this, with the cutest little patient, wow! Priceless!!! I haven't seen it yet, but I think the Fencer (Tonic neck) would be my favorite 😂 Also... who dislikes a video with such an adorable baby??? 😒
I just discovered you today because I was looking for a really good neonatal assessment and this was probably the most in depth that I have found! Thank you so much! Currently not going to clinicals for OB because of COVID-19 so I'm living my hands on education through RUclips videos. :(
Loved your video..I really appreciate your effort to help everyone in your busy schedule..Both Avery and Piper are cute kids..Love them a lot..😘😘..Don’t worry about rude comments..
Thanks for the video and tips! Moro reflex also makes me laugh, but I did feel bad anytime we accidentally triggered it in my daughter! What otoscope/ophthalmoscope do you have/do you recommend for NP school?
I would just get a cheap one on amazon! You'll get most of your practice with them in clinic, with good ones. My school required an expensive one, and honestly it was so useless and frustrating because the clinics always had their own.
omg!!!!!!!!!!! YOU are the nurse practitioner my professor assigned that we watch to learn about a newborn assessment from yaaaaaay!!!! You're my *actual assignment! Also Piper is so small in this video *sigh*
Hi nurse Liz so I am also interested in being a cardiac pediatric nurse and I was wondering what are the chances of you getting to do that right after nursing school. Does having an EMT license and working as an EMT help to speed up that process?
I would say the biggest thing that would help you get into that would be if you could do your practicum on a peds cardiac unit, or work as a nursing assistant on one of those units! Im not sure having your EMT license would help with that specific goal. BUt it would be awesome experience in general
Madam Mommy Baby Piper is not really volunteering and definitely airs her displeasure with ur suggestion, yet, the lil snuggleball is the most adorable model. 💖
You totally missed cosleeping. Babies should not be swaddled while cosleeping. Keep baby cool enough, no heavy blankets. Body heat will keep baby warm.
You're so iconic for filming this 5 days postpartum. So helpful, thanks!
Okay this psych nurse is just assessing cuteness and I put her in the 100 percentile for adorableness!!! ❤️
@@laurenhills239 Rude.
@@laurenhills239 Probably looks better than anything you shot out. 😆
She will take this score :)

This was great. What a perfect little patient! She looks so content. You can tell that she is both loved and well taken care of. 💜☺
She is a super chill baby!
I know this wasn't ment to be funny, but it gave me flashbacks to earning my RN-BSN. I had to video tape myself performing an assessment and I chose my 6 week old daughter.

I'm working on fetal newborn assessment in clinical now and this is beyond helpful (and adorable). Thank you for the awesome walkthrough!
So glad it was helpful!

Glad it was helpful!
So cute!! FYI you are doing the babinski reflex incorrectly, should start at the heel and go towards the big toe
Thank you!! This was so helpful for my maternity lab.
You did amazing!
This was very thorough. Thank you very much! your baby is beautiful. I'm a newborn nursery nurse and searching for an assessment video for a friend who is having her first baby and is TERRIFIED. This is just what she needs!!
Baby Piper is such a cutie pie! My favorite is the babinski. I was obsessed with seeing my niece’s reflex when she was younger. What a great video! ☺️
They are so fun to mess with all of them lol
She is adorable. I can’t even. 🥰 good job Piper!
😍
Hi Liz

Thank you for the love as always!! I couldnt imagine doing this on avery when she was a newborn haha. she would NOT have had any of that
Awesome video! Thank you so much for taking the time to make and share this, it was very helpful. God bless you!
Hahaha I love this video. My husband is in med school and the first month we brought our newborn baby home, he kept checking for all the reflexes, listening to the bowel sounds, and etc lol this video reminds me of that time! 😙

So glad it was helpful!
Very informative. Does this still applicable for 3mos old?
That was such a great video Liz!! Thank you! Piper is so adorable :)

Hi Piper!! so adorable! thanks for volunteering...lol... Liz, thanks for this video, very helpful!
Thank you! Piper is tres cute! No matter what others might think!

Madam mommy ur holding her up @0.07mins reminded me of SIMBA being introduced to his kingdom (The Lion King) .

Thank you
Such a cute patient!! ❤
This was a great video, good refresher. I did a ton of newborn assessments when I was an L&D nurse. Could you a video on adult assessment?😊
I"m planning on doing a whole assessment series!
Nurse Liz, that will be amazing!! I’m looking forward to it!!
Wow! It’s crazy how much bigger she is now compared to this video!
I know!! I cried editing it. Because you know. She’s bigger. And time has passed. All normal things haha
Beautiful baby😙
thank you!
love the name piper!
thank you! Mee too haha
Thanks for the video and tips! Moro reflex also makes me laugh, but I did feel bad anytime we accidentally triggered it in my daughter!

It was a little bizarre when I realized professors were linking my videos😂 but it's pretty cool! And isn't she!

The baby is so tiny and so cute❤️
Piper is soo cute, but she looks like she wants back in. lol
I gasped when she said Piper cuz that's my name 😂
What about a very stiff baby?
The lil one was too cute so I had eyes just for her - didn't hear a thing Mommy said, throughout.
Madam Mommy Baby Piper is not really volunteering and definitely airs her displeasure with ur suggestion, yet, the lil snuggleball is the most adorable model. 💖
Hehe haha funny.
I dont know how I got to this video... that baby is very tiny and its blowing my mind how we all started off so little. Ok bye.
You totally missed cosleeping. Babies should not be swaddled while cosleeping. Keep baby cool enough, no heavy blankets. Body heat will keep baby warm.
Do not cute babies even exist? I’m so confused. #nosuchthing #givemeallthebabies
Appreciate you
Pacifier.
Weh weh weh.
