I finally remember who Zhou Dongyu reminds me of, she’s a bit similar to Ariel Lin! Also another good actress with a youthful look 🥰. Both are so pretty. I don’t understand criticisms on her acting, her crying scenes literally made me tear up. Her acting in Better Days was absolutely phenomenal.

I really love Baijue and Shanggu in Ancient love poetry. Xu Kai and Zhou Dong Yu really acted very well. XK acting as a cool and serious god was well played. He had to hide his strong feelings for Shanggu and also his sad emotions on seeing Shanggu's suffering so as not to expose himself and plot. Here, his character's entirely opposite of his role as Gu Yan Zhen in Arsenal Military Academy - mischievous yet domineering character. ZDY as Shanggu was also well played; acting as a mischievous and jovial character. I like their smile. The only incompatibility is their height difference. Actually most of the actresses are much shorter than the male leads. Perhaps most of the main actors are tall especially Xu Kai wirh a height of 6ft 1 inch. I must say this is a good height for an actor and model. Of all Xu Kai's dramas, i love Snow eagle lord, Ancient love poetry, Arsenal military academy, Lost in Kunlun mountain, The legend, Royal feast, ZGDX, She and her perfect husband most. Once upon a time in Lingjian mountain, he played very well but i didnt like the earlier half of the story. Will love to watch all XK's drama ❤❤❤
Someone told me a while ago that this lead actress did not wanted to be in this drama. But her manager forced her to do the drama. I think because Xu Kai fans will start a war on her if she being close or show my emotions to her action around him.

For me his best leading lady I've been looking at some old reviews on ancient love poetry and some of the thing's that were said about her were awful about her looks and acting I just don't get it for me they were both perfect for the role.
