God! I’d love to have that relic on my wall. I bought an old set of wooden booms and a wood mast foot and hinged universal joint from some guy in SC in about 1992. This was/is the greatest sport of all times.
The Mistral Competition was a superb board. it's a tragedy that Mistral didn't freeze the design of it as soon as they were running fully retractable dagger boards and develop a basic family and club one design class on it to this day. I'll wager the class would still exist. So simple by today's standards and yet such a beautiful club level course racing longboard.
Classic. I had a SuperLite in - - - ?1981? - I forget, actually. Except that it was "light" compared to my Windsurfer. I'm still putting streamers on my sails and still have 2 Windsurfers, a Standard and a One Design. Thank god for the modern designs. Windsurfing is not dead. Hold onto your hat for the radical music. Thanks for the posting! Fair winds!

This was everything I lived for in the 80s
Great boards and great sailing ❤️

The SuperLite was awesome. I rode an Obrien Sensation that weighed 50 lbs.!
Breathtaking
Only backside wave sailing. Super wide stance and dangling from the boom. Windsurfing has changed so much

Nah. Its not.
