Scott is becoming a powerhouse! One of their best songs vocal arrangements and performances ever! It's a mic drop moment for O Holy Night that leaves you wanting more.
I am over 70 years old and since I was a kid my family was always at church on Sundays so I have sung this song for years at Christmas but until hearing PTX's version I have never felt the words of this song so emotionally! Well done, the message is felt. Love is what keeps this world together!!
This version is a masterpiece! It hits me every time I hear it. I like it more than Home Free's version, but that's ok for me since I really like Home Free's version.
This is a masterpiece by Pentatonix and absolutely stunning. The best version of this song ever. All 5 shined in their personal contributions and all 5 created the best song together. ❤❤❤❤❤
I love this piece. I don't do Home Free very much, so no comparison from me...nor should we do such comparisons between these a capella groups. They are already a niche in the music world and comparing them against each other diminishes their different strengths and uniqueness.
There are simply not enough words to describe how wonderful this song is. It touches the core of my soul. I have loved Pentatonix since day one and each year as they mature and grow so has their music. We think they can’t get better but they do!!!!!!
Stunning! Stellar! Brilliant! Their best yet! I’ve listened/ watched at least 50 times and it just gets better and better, and when you think you’ve heard it all… you hear something different, some little Scott riff or get a Mitch slap…and you have to hear it again…and again!!!❤
Pentatonix is the GOAT of all a cappella. No argument. They just keep getting better! Home Free are the Kings of country a cappella. But NO ONE beats Pentatonix! New subscriber here for more PTX.
Spectacular! IMO, the best version I've ever heard and I've heard them all. We saw them in December here in their hometown. This was amazing. It all was. In my mind, no one has topped this version.
This is my favorite version, before this it had always been Celine. Home Free’s version is really good as well as well but doesn’t break the top five. PTX brought so much emotion that it broke free and filled the whole room. This is worship, not a doubt in my heart.
I think the lord smiled, when he heard this very emotional and spiritual versi on, coming from their souls. He definitely put his stamp of aproval on this one!😊
There are no words in any language that can describe the beauty of this performance. This was just transcendent. This was not a Wall of Sound, this was an Avalanche or a Tsunami.
At first I tried comparing Home Free with PTX but found that it was like comparing apples to oranges. Their styles, harmonies and arrangements are vastly different so I guess I've never understood why people keep on trying to compare the 2 to say who is "better." It's all a matter of musical taste and preference. That being said, PTX's rendition made me feel like it was an emotional experience rather than a performance and so was my favorite version by an a capella group. My favorite solo interpretation is by a gospel artist named David Phelps whose live performance makes you feel as though you have just experienced a once in a life time spiritual event. I think the beauty of music is open to interpretation by each listener.
I like Home Free’s version but this one feels richer to me - I love the dimension that Kirsten’s voice adds to the harmonies and Matt’s section is so incredibly warm, emotional, & pure. Each one of them has such incredibly beautiful voices. If I had to choose which one to listen to on repeat it would be this one - literally gave me chills & I don’t usually listen to Christmas music.
I just listened to home frees version. Um lol ptx version is an experience I get chills when I hear it every time. The passion they take you to church with this. I honestly just don’t get the same vibe from Home free period. I know they are all talented but PTX is platinum level no question
This was a musical experience!!!! Blows me away that they keep upping the game. Not sure if you can compare the two they are different, both wonderful. If you ask me which one I liked more?, that's different, it is then personal preference for this song, In this case PTX.
I'm sorry. But I'm a music fanatic, music major, music therapist. And I haven't heard ANY group version of this song released this year that can come even close to topping Pentatonix's version of Oh Holy Night. Pentatonix is a 'REFINED' group. Their sound and energy is like the difference between an Omega and a Rolex watch. They're both watches and they both deliver the exact same service. But one of them, for some reason, attracts the attention of the elite who are willing to pay upwards of $400 to see them perform. There's a refineness there that just separates them from the rest. After all, you don't get nominated and earn three Grammys because you sound, well -- 'pretty good'. I've seen that Home Free fans are getting on PTX reactions and telling people that Home Free is better and to check them out. When you see stuff like that happening, that's how you know that your fan base are at least partially consumed of second-class citizens. PTX fans have always acknowledged the amazing talent of Home Free. We like them a lot. But we don't put them on the same spectrum as PTX for what we consider to be obvious reasons. Do I sound arrogant? Good. But trust me, arrogance isn't my platform at all when it comes to PTX. No need for it.
I liked them both and no need competition in the end of the day to enjoy music. It is just fine to like this band more than any other... it's about personal taste! Thanks for your honesty! Thank you for dropping by!
Olá sr Alexal esta versão está muito linda e sente-se paz e calma a versão antiga também nos dá paz e esperança mas a mim faz-me chorar adorei obrigada 😊👏👏🌈
I don't understand why anyone would try to make the friends in Home Free and PTX compete with each other. I don't compare George Strait to Metallica or Bruno Mars. I enjoy them all but they are different genres. Even when they use the same instruments, they are still different genres. Just like Home free and PTX, even though they both use the same instruments are different genres. Do you really want me to compare your channel to the Charismatic Voice? Or do you understand that vocal coach reactions and regular reaction channels are a different genre? Art isn't about competition, but about expressing yourself as you can and all art can be enjoyed at different levels. As I said, Home free and PTX are friends that enjoy each other's art without comparing it. Why do you feel it is even your place to do so?
I'm no better or worse than anyone. Besides, I'm not a music expert our musician, I'm a music lover. It's a matter of taste, deciding who is "better". Besides, when did I say to compete between those 2 bands? I asked which cover do you prefer.Still, I understand your point of view and respect your honesty. Thank you for dropping by!
Excellent reaction to a Master Piece from Pentatonix! Much better than Home Free!! Hands down!!!

I agree 💯! Home Free is great talent, but PTX is on another plateau.
My fave on their newest holiday album. They have 3 more videos from their newest album. I hope you can react to all of them. Thank you!
Have to check on them! Thank you for dropping by!

Sem dúvida, Susana! Está brutal! Obrigado pela tua sensibilidade em relação à boa música e respeito pelos cantores em geral!
I love Pentatonix! I don't care for home free.

All wonderful, but Matt and Kirstie were the heroes for this one.
